I booked 2 twins bed room of this awful hotel for 14 -16 Aug 2025 via Accor Hotel website with my ALL Plus Ibis status on 8 Jul 2025. When I arrive the hotel at 17:00 on 14 Aug, they said my family (2 adults with two kids) and and my friend’s family (1 adult with three kids) could not get the rooms we paid JUST BECAUSE the hotel policy didn’t accept room with 4 people or above. The front desk staff, with very rude attitude, recommended us to book the third room. Though we told him no adult can accompany the kids in the third room, we said we accepted the offer because the trip from Spain to Tangier just made us very tired. However, the front desk staff said the third room can only be the one bed room due to room shortage. We cannot accept because of gender composition of two families. The frontline staff subsequently insisted we cannot get the room keys and told us we have not paid for the room. I didn’t match with my record in the booking confirmation email, Accor hotel website and my bank statement. To avoid double payment, two families have no choice but to cancel the booking and reserve another hotel. However, the front desk staff did not grantee to make a refund for me. What a nightmare experience for being an ALL Accor Ibis Card member. Thank you for teaching me the Booking confirmation email said “confirm and paid” is not paid. The holiday mood of two families got damaged.

Paid in full when booking. On arrival the staff insisted the room hadn’t been paid for despite me showing them the receipt. They wanted a ‘pre-authorisation’ payment for the cost of the room again. Now charged to credit card and are not responding to requests for a refund. Buyer beware.

It is also a standard Ibis configuration but with better staff. They allowed us to get hot water from the bar and restaurant easily and also provided us with water to fill our water bottles, unlike the rude staff at Rabat Ibis. It is about a 10 minute walk away from the station and just behind the Hilton Hotel. It is comfortable , clean and we had no issues with checking in. There was also a safe in the room. As usual, like all Ibis red hotels, the rooms are small and minimalistic. Just to add that they need to provide hand towels and not just bath towels, and better quality bath towels unsteady of the paper thin ones we were given. But I like the combined body soap and shampoo dispenser in the bathroom. Many restaurants nearby so we didn't have food at the hotel.

I am currently in Morocco on business and started my journey in Marrakech and had to come to Tangiers for business only to realise I would need to stay overnight despite the fact I was already booked at the Ibis Palmerie, Marrakech and due to checkout tomorrow. The staff at reception were extremely accommodating to point they arranged a late check out in Marrakech and booked me in promptly and gave me great customer service and I must add the food I ordered grilled beef steak with fries , vegetables and sautéed potatoes where a joy after a long day!! Most of all the room rates are reasonable!! I highly recommend for overnight stay

Nice hotel near the train station. Stayed here two years ago but the maintenance since then seems to have dropped. The first room I was assigned was noisy from the traffic, cold and the water in the sink was not working. Luckily there was another room available so I changed rooms and it was better. Breakfast is still plentiful. Location good. It is not a budget hotel, quite expensive. One thing that if booking on the Ibis Website it should be specified when your card payment will be taken. Payment is taken at check-in, so this should be specified at the time of booking, it isn't taken at the time of booking even though it says 'paid', it is paid when you arrive at the hotel. Ibis need to make this clear.

Worth the price but needs renovation and cleanliness… we changed our 1st room because the bathroom wall was very dirty, as someone sprayed the wall with blue ink, and in the 2nd room the shower couldn’t drain… The staff was kind and attentive. The hotel is near the train station, the beach and there’s lots of restaurants by walk.

Wow, free breakfast😋. I always stayed in this hotel every time I visit tanger and my German Shepherd dog love our stayed there. This is the only hotel accepting large breed of dog. To all pet owner make sure when you take your dog in a hotel it’s well behave and not barking that disturb your next door. Ibis tanger it’s a relaxing stayed in your hotel.

Stayed for two nights after visiting Morocco on business. The hotel is conveniently located a few minutes from the station (not as close as in Casa and Marrakech, but still close), in the newer part of the city. The beach with its restaurants and coffee shops is also only a couple of minutes away, with the new marina and old town a pleasant walk along the back of the beach. Check-in (and out) was quick and efficient, and the room was compact and clean, with a good comfortable bed (as you’d expect from an Ibis). Good aircon, good Wifi and a good shower, the only slight downside was not many power sockets in the room. Some construction work across from the hotel, but this did not disturb me. I didn’t eat at the hotel as there were plenty of good places nearby. Good option for a well-priced hotel near to the station.

Very bad behavior from the receptionist Youssef who was so rude and disrespectful when i asked him to extend my stay in the hotel,then i showed him my reservation via booking for extra one week,refused and asked me not to extend in the hotel,then he started laughing with some restaurant waiters using some very bad words in arrabic that I could understand ,it was really a very bad experience.then he told me he is the responsible and the manager was not free that day. I don't understand how à big international hotel such as Ibis employes like this kind of people who don't have any profession,any respect through the customers I will never come back again

There is nothing positive that I can say about this property, staff are not hospitable, are not polite and in need for a huge makeover training and development. Restaurant staff are rude and ignorant and would do anything to NOT please you or even just deliver what they set out to do, for example, I asked for 3 fried eggs as I do not eat anything else, and I was met with hostility and lot of questioning and then when they finally gave me the eggs, I only got two and they were not cooked properly, so I left them behind and went out to a local eatery. On Tuesday 23rd, the plumbers shut down the water supply for a maintenance procedure, but they did not inform anyone, and when the water was back an hour or so later, and when I turned the shower on, for the first 3 to 5 minutes, the water was brown, very brown, if of it was mixed with mud or something similar. Not once did they inform anyone, well not me (705). When I checked in, they said they do not accept a local cheque, as they only accept cash or local debit card or any credit card, so I had not choice but to use my Amex, on the proviso it they just hold an amount, but my statement showed that the whole amount was taken and on Monday 22nd, I gave them cash and they refunded me, but I was told that my refund will come in 10 days time, so clearly I was misled, clearly the policy too grey to understand, so I will not be going back there in July 2024, as I will be booking with another property.

The location was great. Close to the train station, shopping mall and restaurants etc. On checking in we were told that the 3 bed room that we booked didn't exist. When i offered to show my booking confirmation I was told that this is a very common mistake made by Expedia and there was no need for me to show the confirmation. We were given a double bed room with a mattress on the floor as the extra bed. No compensation offered. Double bed mattress was very hard as was sleeping on the floor! Overall not a very comfortable nights sleep!

Repairs and Maintenance department needs a revamp … The rooms aren’t cleaned properly,..toilet, air con filter, shower doesn’t drain, part of shower door only opens halfway. Shall I go on? Pick up your game it’s woeful.

The hotel is in in very nice location , close to the beach and the train station as well , room is clean and very nice. The only issue is that the staff do not answer the phones , I tried to call the hotel several times before my arrival to check if they can arrange for my pick up from the CTM bus station and they never answer , I also contacted them by email and they never answer .. I highly recommend this hotel but make sure you do not need to contact them for anything prior to arrival . The check in was fine , I reserved from hotels.com and my reservation was there , so no problem with reservation

The location of this property is nice and central to everything we wanted to do. It’s a bigger chain type hotel so we expected a certain level of professionalism and hospitality which we didn’t receive. The only two things about this hotel that are worth noting is the bed was comfortable and the shower was big and nice. Now to address the lack of professionalism. The front desk staff was not helpful at all. When you call reception from the room they don’t answer. We needed our room key reactivated because they deactivated it, there were four people standing there, one was helping a guest the other three just stood there looking at us waiting. We ordered from a food delivery service the front desk refused to help the delivery driver to contact our room (which they did the previous time) and is usually what they do. When my husband went downstairs to speak to the front desk about not answering the phone and to grab our order he asked the rep why he wasn’t answering the phone and the rep gave an excuse to not hearing the phone or possibly being on the other line (we tried MULITPLE times to reach the front desk, no answer). The previous night we called because we ran out of toilet paper, no answer from the reception desk. When my husband went downstairs the reps sit behind the wall and don’t come out unless security notifies them there is someone waiting. The other complaints about only 2 towels and the hotel rooms being very minimal are true. Breakfast not worth it, very basic.

The towel is as dirty as floor mop. they give you two dirty looking about 15 years old towel turn from white to brown color. I didn't think that was a towel when I first saw it. I couldn't put that on my skin. I end up using my pajama as a towel for 4 days. They deactivate the door card every day so you have to go back and activate it daily. so inconvenient.

We decided to take the high speed train from Casablanca to Tangier with the intention of visiting Chefchaouen. We arrived at around 2:00 pm, checked in and spent the remainder of this first day seeing Tangier. It’s a lovely city! Then we woke up early the next day to meet our transfer to the blue City. We returned to the Ibis and spent a second night. So basically, we were only there to sleep. This hotel was very small and bare-boned. There were only two threadbare towels in our room and when we asked at 9 PM to get another towel, we were advised that housekeeping had gone home. We like to sleep with the window open and did so, but there is no screen on the huge window. Very unsafe. And did anyone know that mosquitoes can fly seven floors up? They can! The bed had a 3-inch mattress that looked like one you would throw on a sofa bed. Or a crib. There also were no electrical outlets near the bedside. There was also no outlet in the bathroom although there was a hair dryer attached to the wall that looked like a torture device from the 60’s. There was a layer of dust on the tiny television so I can’t even say the place was sparse but clean. However, I will say that the shower was the best we found on our entire three weeks in Morocco—even compared to a few 5-star hotels. And we picked this hotel as it was walking distance to the train station, so the location did not disappoint. Also, the restaurant staff at breakfast were very helpful and friendly.

I and my 6 family members stayed at this hotel for 1 night. The front desk receptionist was not at the desk after we checked in and I and another group of guests had to wait and ask several staff people to have the receptionist return to the front desk to assist us. I had reserved 3 rooms and one of the rooms I had to have changed from a king to two double beds. After a substantial wait, the male receptionist did return to the front desk after he was outside and assisted me and the other party. The hotel elevator had full trash bins in them and the hall carpets could have used a bit of vacuum cleaning. Otherwise our rooms were clean, quiet and comfortable.

I was extremely disappointed the hotel pool was not open, which was the reason I booked it. The hotel is kind of run down and in need of some renovation. If the pool is not open and the ONLY amenity they have, then Expedia should know that and let people know ahead of booking. The picture of the pool is the first picture you see on Expedia, so for it NOT to be open is problematic.
