I loved the place.
Cons: Eigenlijk niets.

A refaire absolument.

We loved Dar Sabra from the moment we came in. Perfect getaway for couples especially. The 3 pools are amazing, super clean, the food is delicious and the staff is lovely. Everything was quiet, it definitely felt like we were home. They gave us a bigger room than the one we booked since they had free rooms, and it was just perfect! The pools were accessible even at night. We'll definitely come back
Cons: The only thing that we didn't like is that we called at 10:20 am to ask for breakfast in our room, since we had the free breakfast included and since the breakfast was available until 10:30 am. Of course we would have paid for the room service! And they told us that we'll have to pay 150 MAD each for the breakfast if we wanted it. And didn't give us any alternative. I found it a bit unfair to be honest. But that's the only thing that we didn't appreciate.. but for the rest, all perfect!

Dar Sabra is the epitome of a luxurious quiet retreat. La Palmeraie district is flat and sandy and seemed to be the area for camel trecking. The whole area is quiet and peaceful and the pool areas are superb with plenty of loungers, hammocks and umbrellas. The suite was like something out of a glossy magazine. It was large, beautifully furnished and the courtyard at the back and loungers at the front were a beautiful extra. The staff were exceptional- professional but very friendly and from reception to waiting staff, you felt they couldn’t do enough to make our stay memorable. Everything was very clean, the food and room service were excellent. The buildings are full of sculptures, artefacts, paintings and photographs - all very individual and some really quirky. Transport into Marrakech was organised for us and taxis arrived promptly to take us to various places of interest. Some of the drivers were unsure of where to find Dar Sabra but we soon got used to our route which was about 15 mins drive from the Medina.
Cons: It would have been better if we could have stayed longer - it was fabulous.

Our stay at Dar Sabra was beautiful. I surprised my husband with a get away to Marrakech , and if Im honest Marrakech is not short of hotels and Riads to stay at. I could have selected one of the bigger hotels closer to the Medina, but because I knew we would have quite an active week, I wanted somewhere peaceful with a luxurious feel ,Dar Sabra didn't dissapoint. Firstly, we were upgraded to a Superior room by the front desk manager, Hassan, who went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. The grounds and facilities are exquisite, African chique, efficiently managed by the Dar Sabras in house team of Jamal, Hamza, Nabil, Mehdi, and Monsif. Not forgetting the evening reception team Yusef and Mohamed. We also had a Hammam (tradional spa treatment)at the hotel by the lovely Aziza. The spa is beautiful and is a hidden gem within the grounds of the hotel. 3 swimming pools that where very well maintained. Overall it was a great place to stay out from the hustle and bustle of Marrakech. Thanks for having us.

The hotel is just 15mins from the heart of the city by taxi, and a world away from the hubbub - a welcome contrast. The hotel buildings are all stunning in their design and the art that is featured around the property just adds to this. We stayed in villa di rossa, we loved having our own private villa complete with private pool & outdoor spaces to enjoy. The beds were really comfortable and as the place was so quiet we slept very well. The staff couldn't have been more helpful, in particular the reception host who was always welcoming, friendly and proactive; the bar & restaurant staff were polite and attentive.

There was a lot to love; Hassan at reception was super helpful arranging taxis ( ask for Hakim), spa treatments and answering all of my questions, big white fluffy towels, pools were beautiful and always clean, table tennis, tennis and small gym all great. The food menu was small but meal sizes were generous and I appreciated the large salad options as well as Moroccan options, the massages were great too, full hammam also available though I didn’t have one this time, service was generally good. I saw two different rooms, both very generous with seating areas as well as storage and spacious showers, baths, double sinks in some rooms.
Cons: Only a few minor things though with a few improvements this place could be very special, I found my bed very hard- I had to sleep on top of a folded duvet to make it softer. sometimes the service one day was great and the next it was patchy ( getting towels for the pool immediately one day and not at all the next day despite asking three times over two hours) though I know this could be due to a language difference and though most staff do understand and speak enough English I will make an effort to learn a little French/bring French language book before returning to make it easier for everyone. I know Hassan plans to help the team learn from these things so don’t let this put you off. parts of the complex better for Wi-Fi for working than others, ask Hassan where the best place or room is if you have to zoom, and there are lots of quiet places to do this. tea and coffee in room would be great as would Moroccan cakes/biscuits for purchase.

Shielded behind imposing wooden gates, you do not get a sense of how big Dar Sabra is. Pools are fantastic, room very comfortable and bath huge!

Staying at Dar Sabra was like staying at a friendly and homey art gallery. The sublimely modern architecture is incredibly thoughtful in that it creates a sense of open intimacy. Light travels throughout the spaces and you feel connected to the entire property, yet there is still a sense of privacy. Around every turn is a whimsical sculpture or piece of art, while the furniture is an eclectic balance of modern and Moroccan. Our suite was beyond gorgeous and comfortable...the shower and giant concrete soaking tub were special surprises. We ate dinner and breakfast at the hotel and the food was fresh and delicious. Finally, the friendly and helpful staff topped off our wonderful experience. We will definitely be back. :)

Dar Sabra was great! It was clean, safe and very comfortable. The hotel is absolutely beautiful. And the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. My family loved this hotel. The only limitation for us was dining. The hotel restaurant was good, but not great. And there aren't a lot of restaurants near the hotel.

Hotel was beautiful, staff were very friendly. The food was great - particularly the moroccan food which you do need to pre-order as they cook it fresh for a couple of hours. The drinks etc aren't cheap but are reasonable for such a lovely hotel. The room was incredible - my bath was like a swimming pool.

The hotel has 3 pools and very clean & Rooms are very clean and very spacious & great design & luxurious & beautiful surrounding with Palms however the location doesn't reflect the correct information on the websites. The hotel location is in Palmiers Marrakech area which is not too far but far enough from the city centre ( 15 to 20 minutes by car to Medina around 120 DHR local currency which is around 12 EUR each way with hotel service ) if you take local taxi to the hotel the maximum rate is 100 DHR which is around 10 EUR, to the Airport from the hotel is 200 DHR which is around 20 EUR, however hotel does offer free private transport to the old city of Medina. Inside Hotel Restaurant is expansive comparing to the local restaurant's prices as there is nothing in the area. The service very slow we had to wait for more then one hour and half for our main courses but this can be resolved by making the order at least 30 minutes before you start eating , thsi will help to avoid the long waiting. The hotel is perfect for couple who wish to stay in relaxing, and romantic atmosphere, the overall stay was great . I will definitely return to this property with my family.

Loved my stay here! Me and my cousin stayed a night here and didn't want to leave. Because we stayed on a weekday, it was very empty and had the pool mostly to ourselves. The breeze is wonderful around this area as Marrakesh can get extremely hot. Only negative thing was transportation - it is quite far from the Medina and transportation is very limited. Other than that, our stat was superb and the staff was super friendly!

Dar Sabra was a welcoming and peaceful haven just 15 away by car from the hustle and bustle of the Medina. A wonderful property offering a serene atmosphere amazing customer service and beautiful surroundings. The staff made sure you were catered for whatever your needs, gluten free bread was provided for on request as was apple juice. A good selection on offer at breakfast and great dinners especially the traditional Moroccan Tagines a must try. Pierre restaurant manager spoke good English and therefore it was easy to converse , the rest of the staff were were fantastic and English / French was tried on both parts with lots of smiles ! 3 beautiful swimming pools to choose from with sun beds and sun towels . We stayed in the Villa Blanc having been upgraded on arrival, it was stunning and perfect for for a family of 4 ( 2 adult children) Bath and shower were fantastic and a great private pool. We loved our stay here and also meeting Bella the hotels 6 month puppy daily who came round to play. We would highly recommend Dar Sabra for those who like to enjoy a bit of peace and the most wonderful hospitality after the madness of the souks.

This was our first experience doing a 'summer holiday' where the plan was little more than enjoy the weather and relax and the Dar Sabra hotel was perfect. We stayed in a junior suite which was huge, beautiful and excellent value for money. There are multiple swimming pools to enjoy and plenty of places to sit so there was never any struggle in finding the perfect spot - be it basking in sun or somewhere in the shade. The staff are really friendly and spoke good English and were very accommodating. The restaurant is outside and was lovely. The menu is a mix of different cuisines and generally nice and well priced. One thing I would note, which isn't a bad thing, just something good to know, is that it seemed much easier just to put all bills on the room than it was to pay cash for food/drinks. So don't worry about taking out loads of cash at the airport. We used the hotel taxi service (both airport transfers and to the El Fna Square) which was simple to organise and the taxi drivers were friendly.

We had four very relaxing nights at Dar Sabra with our two children (aged 2 and 5). The family room was perfect, the staff very smiley and helpful, and the hotel and grounds very striking design-wise. The whole place is very serene and calm (but still child friendly!)

This hotel is about a 15min taxi drive from the main square, and taxi drivers have little idea where it is ( they do not use SAT NAV ), that said the hotel has a very efficient shuttle bus at regular intervals. Also be warned the road to the hotel from the main road, is a bit bizarre, and the driver has to dodge fallen palm trees at intervals. The hotel is an architectural master piece, with three superb pools. We found the service a little slow, especially when we decided to have an evening meal at the hotel, and there was nobody around at poolside most of the time. However I would still give the place a 9 out of 10 as its so unique, big and airy, and a place you will always remember.
