Fantastic stay start to finish. All of the staff are exceptionally friendly and accommodating. There is such a relaxing vibe to the entire place. Breakfast and lunch was excellent. The spa and massage facilities also. A really nice place to relax away from the hustle and bustle of the main centre which is a nice walking distance away! Highly recommend.

I really can’t say enough great things about this hotel. We stayed for 5 nights in April and it is was a wonderful retreat from the hustle and bustle of Marrakech. The property is so beautiful! I highly recommend booking the Suite Blanche if it is available as it was a dream - very spacious with a large private terrace where we enjoyed breakfast every morning. The staff were wonderful. 10/10 would stay again in a heartbeat.

Like a magic garden! Staff was wonderful. I stayed in the suite Blanch. The white suite and it was nicer than pictures. Very large terrace over looking court yard. Food was very good. I took a cooking class that was fun and learned a lot. I wish I had more time to spend at the hotel just enjoying it!

I was very disappointed to see the swimming pool having relied upon the photographs presented on your site. No adult could swim in this pool and hence you have my score of average. Breakfast was excellent and the grounds are also very well kept. The staff were polite and helpful. Massage in the Spa was also good. I like to swim on my holidays and quietly laze somewhere around a decent pool. From the photographs on your site I genuinely believed the pool at the Dar Rhizlane was one I could use to swim. This is not the case - it is a sunbathing area. Had I not paid in advance I would have left after my first night.

Wonderful hotel, can’t say enough about how great this place is! Staff was super friendly and accommodating, they would go above and beyond. Rooms were beautiful, comfortable and clean. The hotel is in a quiet area and so lounging by the pool was very relaxing. Food was great and there were plenty of taxis in front day or night to take us where we wanted. By the way the location was great we were about 10mins from all major attractions and good restaurants. Definitely will return here.

The service, accommodations, and attention to detail are beyond superb!!! This is such a special boutique hotel within walking distance of the old city (1-1.5 miles), close to the airport, and yet hidden away from the bustle of the city. Our room was remarkably spacious, clean, and always well attended every day (unlike the US now with no one wanting to work). From the restaurant staff to the front desk, the team at Dar Rhizlane was beyond helpful and welcoming (was worried about this as a married gay couple). They arranged reservations for dinner, transportation, and tours with perfection. Loved learning about Moroccan wines (which the bar serves) and was surprised at how well made they are. If you’re looking for something authentically Moroccan but yet has modern comforts, look no further. Merci beaucoup Dar Rhizlane…looking forward to our next stay with you.

The room and breakfast was fantastic! The staff was also really nice. Only bad side is that the spa lady stole my gold necklace during my hammam appointment. Also we paid for a 50 minute hamam session, but the staff was in a rush and wanted us to hurry during the whole process. We were in there for about 25-30 minutes and everything seemed very rushed. The lady took of my necklace and never gave it back.

A beautiful hotel which we found to be very relaxing. The staff were exceptionally helpful from the front desk to the lady that made up the room on a daily basis to the chap on the front door, we really couldn't fault them. Nothing was ever too much trouble. Possibly the most relaxing and comfortable hotel we have ever stayed in. I would highly recommend to anyone wishing to take a break in this most interesting country and fascinating city.

Second time here and won’t be our last! Everything about this hotel is perfection. It is located in Hivernage, less than a 5 minute cab ride from the Medina, and the perfect location. You can get away to your quiet, private Oasis to relax. We think the hotel has some of the best food in Marrakech and you can’t beat the price for what you get. Stay here, you will not be disappointed :)

This hotel is very lovely and as the photos describe. The grounds are quite tranquil and clean. However the staff have a very nonchalant attitude, they claim to be there to help however they do not actually action anything. Our original stay had to be cut short due to a death which we explained and we asked if we could swap a breakfast for dinner and we were told no and not offered an alternative even if it meant we paid a reduced price. They didn't seem bothered that we were going miss a night due to this. There were building works directly above our room loud banging and crashing from quite early until the evening. We were not pre warned and when I mentioned this on checkout they just said sorry with a shrug of the shoulders. Its a shame as the surroundings were lovely however the main reception staff were a let down. Only one member of staff was very friendly and courteous and tried to have our room prepared as soon as possible. Due to this I would not return as I have travelled to Morocco a few times and have had positive experiences at other hotels this was not one of them.

We had an amazing time in Dar Rhizlane. We had 3 self contained rooms for our family connecting via a common longer room with beautiful wood fireplace where our breakfast was served in the morning. Everything here: the garden, the cozy yard with the pool and delicious food added flavor to the first impression of Morocco for us.

Charming, elegant, well-furnished hotel away from the fray of the Medina and yet not a large upscale chain hotel. A very happy medium. Terraces and living rooms shared by every three or so corner rooms can make it feel like you have a suite. A bit worn, but very clean and well maintained. Very charming and helpful staff.

We stayed three nights at Dar Rhizlane in November 2018. The property is just gorgeous with a picturesque pool and outdoor sitting areas surrounded by a lush garden. The property is small compared to your big-name brand hotels in the area, however, this was a plus for me because it felt more personalized. The staff was very welcoming and happy to help. They really wanted you to feel at home. The bed was one of the most comfortable beds in our 10-day trip to Morocco. The breakfast was also very good and there were plenty of choices. The weather was not ideal for sitting outside during our stay so breakfast was served at the restaurant, otherwise, they serve it in the gardens by the pool. If you decide to stay in the property, I suggest getting one of the bigger rooms or suites - it’s absolutely worth the price.

This was the first time me and my best friend had visit Marrakesh and wanted to stay somewhere more traditional than a big resort and Dar Rhizlane was the perfect choice. The sun beds are actually double mattresses so the comfort level was outstanding, same is to be said for the room beds. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff who were excellent and assisted us throughout our stay and delivered an A* service. Location is perfect in a great area of Marrakesh and close to markets. Would stay again in a heart beat and already planning a second visit next year.

My wife, daughter and I had the pleasure of spending a week over new year at the Dar Rhizlane. A truly memorable week at a great hotel. The hotel is in a great location, quiet, but only a 20 minute walk or a 50 dirham cab ride from the main attractions, The Koutoubia Mosque, The Medina, Jemaa el-Fnaa etc. In addition the shopping and restaurants of the Gueliz district are only a short cab ride away.

Lovely hotel with an authentic Riad feel set in a backdrop of tranquility and peace. Luxurious poolside beds, with only a handful of guests staying at any point in time. Never rushed or a need to mark out poolside beds, making the holiday experience completely stressless Homely rooms with everything you would expect from a high quality hotel, well stocked mini-bar, complimentary water, hairdryer, high quality cotton robes, leather slippers, wonderful cotton sheets, TV and wifi in each room, air-condition .... the list goes on. The sofas and beds were very comfortable too. The service is more than 5 star, the staff could simply not have done more for us. They will spot that you need your umbrella adjusting as the sun creeps round and will do this without being asked. They are ever so polite and will go out of their way to help ensure you are having a wonderful time. A high quality breakfast including everything from freshly squeezed orange juice and fruit salad, to local breads, freshly baked croissants, eggs of your choice and Tagines. Complimentary mint tea and freshly baked biscuits are served late afternoon. Convenient location approx 30 min walk/10 min taxi from Al Fna square avg cost £5, with taxi stand just outside the hotel. Would have no hesitation in recommending.

This hotel is fantastic! So much more than your typical Marriott or Sofitel. Rooms are unique and the place just oozes with style and grace. The linens in the rooms and by the pool are fabulous. We are a family of four with two children ages 13 and 11. We were looking for a Riad that had more than a dipping pool for relaxing and could accommodate a suite with two connecting rooms. (Hard to find at a reasonable price in Marrakesch) We also wanted accommodations that visually reflected traditional Morrocan architecture and craftsmanship vs staying in a big hotel. The Dar Rhzlane met all of these criteria and was so much more. The staff was gracious and kind and the hotel has a myriad of charming details like serving mint tea and cookies by the pool at 4:30pm, changing the floating design of rose petals in the fountains daily, and live traditional music in their restaurant at dinner. Our room, Aida, was a two room suite with two bathrooms, a living room, and an outdoor terrace. It was perfect for our family. The food at the Riad was quite good with a wonderful and broad assortment of food for breakfast and lunch. We found the dinner menu more limited but fine. Note that hotel meals are more pricey than what you would find in the nice restaurants in the Medina. The Riad could use a little sprucing up to bring it physical appearance in line with the rest of its 5 star rating. Overall we definitely had a 5 star experience and reccomemd it highly. Note we were one of the only families we saw during our stay, our fellow travelers were all couples. It is certainly a romantic setting. A note on location. The Riad is 7 min from the Medina.

My stay in this hotel was great! I stayed in the Sawsan room. There are so many little details that made my stay special: slippers, rose petals on the bed cover, a variety of sweets and bottle of water upon arrival. This hotel is maintained to a good level so many hotels in Marrakech were once upon a nice hotel but are no more this is not the case of this one. I liked the morrocan style of the room and really felt home. I also could hear the birds sing: what better can you ask for when you wake up?

If your looking for a boutique hotel experience in Marrakech I would recommend this hotel. The staff are friendly and courteous. The hotel itself is good, but lacks an eye for detail on maintaining a quality that makes it a five star property. In light of other properties in Marrakech I would rate this property a four star at best. The location outside the medina is quiet. I found small streets )lane ways) in the medina claustrophobic. On one walk through I came across a sheep and lamb in the process of being prepared for slaughter. Such is the life in this place. I found the people selling wares to be at first aggressive (pulling at clothes etc...) to get you into their shop and dishonest with haggling and prone to substituting inferior quality goods when with that originally chosen. This usually happens when searching for money to pay or through a distraction whereby another shop assistant does the substituting and packages the goods (they say in order the goods do not get damaged) in old newspaper etc. The Moroccans to be at best tolerant of westerners and at worst verbally abusive and threatening. So, the location outside the medina makes Marrakech a little more tolerable. However, beware of taxi drivers cruising for a fare. A fare to and from the medina is no more than about A$2.

The hotel was a great one, lovely mix of Moroccan and French colonial style. The hotel wasn't in a very busy area so be prepared to take taxis into Medina or Gueliz. The pool was fantastic, our room was small but had everything you need. Breakfast was lovely. I would definitely stay there again.

We loved the grounds, pool, sitting and dining areas at this beautiful hotel. It was pretty by day and enchanting by night. The rooms were also lovely, although they were in need of a tiny bit of maintenance. We had some difficulty with air conditioning being sufficient (it was the middle of summer). The staff can also be a little slow, although as I understand it these few issues are relatively common in all of Morocco. Overall we liked this hotel a lot and were very happy with our choice.

Beautiful hotel and a great location if you are okay to take a taxi most places. We had a wonderful time and enjoyed the food at the hotel. However we did not think the spa/ hammam was worth the money; it was nice that it was onsite but we booked for two people and only had one person looking after us so we had to wait a lot but also felt like things were rushed which did not allow it to be as relaxing as we would have wanted.

The hotel itself is beautiful - both in terms of the rooms and the outdoor space. It is set in the 'garden' district of Marrakech with a 20-30min walk to the main square of the Medina - close enough to visit and far enough away for a tranquil stay. The breakfasts here were amazing with friendly and accommodating waiting staff. The only negative was the reception staff who at times did not seem happy to speak us. Also, the wifi was very slow (although not an issue if you're wanting a holiday to get away from it all) and the hotel description wasn't quite right on this/ other websites - there is one outdoor swimming pool (no indoor pool) and the spa facilities is a steam room which can only be accessed by paying a surcharge (no hot tub). Would still highly recommend.

We wanted relaxing, high standard accommodation with a Moroccan feel. This is exactly what we found. The Riad had good space, a beautiful pool area, high standard room with character, a good pool, good restaurant and staff that could not do enough to make our staff comfortable. We were accompanied by our 21/22 year old children who also found the Riad a great experience. The location was a 15 minute walk to the centre of the Medina or a short, well priced taxi ride. We were very pleased that we chose Dar Rhizlane just being outside the Medina because of the extra space compared with Riads located in the Medina and having the benefit of getting away from the noise, bustle and traffic. As well as being convenient for the Medina, Dar Rhizlane is also well located for the new town and good restaurants located there. We also had great assistance in hiring a tour guide for the Medina (essential for new comers) and for out of town tours to the Atlas Mountain area. Things to be borne in mind. Marrakech is a noisy city and total silence is almost impossible to guarantee. You will hear some traffic noise from within the hotel area but nothing that could be considered intrusive. It is certainly quieter than Medina locations. Also, Morocco does not have European smoking restrictions therefore guests may smoke. This is the case throughout the city and we did not have any experiences at Dar Rhizlane that we, as non-smokers, found intrusive. We will certainly return.

This is a super friendly and stylish Riad- very tastefully maintained building. The staff make a huge effort to make you both feel at home and to help you explore the country, with loads of thoughtful and generous extras. Food is excellent. Garden is beautiful. Service is prompt. Pool is lovely. Room are stylishly authentic. The wi-fi was a bit slow and the AC was on its last legs in our room, but this shouldn't detract from an amazing find.
