Clean. Location was a bit tricky to get to - can only do so by walking. Pleasant staff; helpful. Lovely terrace. Breakfast was simple yet delicious. Should’ve received daily cleaning and bottled water as stated on Expedia but didn’t, however quiet, peaceful and comfortable place to stay.

It was an absolute pleasure to stay at Dar Nawfal. We arrived late at night and were graciously greated. The Dar is very close to the train and bus station. The hosts are excellent and will be very helpful with what ever you need. I can't recommend this stay enough.

The riad is beautiful and the hosts were helpful, if a bit gruff at having to wake up at 5:30 am to let us out to go to the airport. The room was comfortable although there was an unpleasant odor of cigarette smoke mixed with some unknown smell. Overall though, we were very pleased with the riad.

I didn't want to stay in another hotel and wanted something different. For me it was perfect, no TV or modern things, just simple, quiet and peaceful. Think about what type of visitor you are e.g. business, with family or adventurous tourist and also research the location. I asked for home made Moroccan tea at least twice a day and they didn't even charge me anything for a whole tea pot each time :) Carry your own toiletries soap, shampoo etc. and there was no toilet door (at least in my room) which is OK for me as a sole tourist.

This riad was close to Sale train station and not too far from the beach. It's in a residential area close to Adam mosque. It was raining most of the time. Metre taxis are very cheap but beware of non metre taxies as these can be very expensive. Never book airport transfers on internet as this is very expensive. It was about £35 on internet but we paid 100 dirhams(less than £10) at the airport. Some lovely sites to see in this lovely country. Definitely worth going.

Staying in Dar Nawfal was a good choice. The hotel is well decorated, in the traditional Morrocan style. The room was comfortable, with bathroom and breakfast (delicious!). Although there was a heater inside, it was a bit cold for us. We loved the breakfasts as well as tajin for the dinner one day. If you don't speak Frrench or Arabic it will be difficult to get along with the cook/housekeeper as only the receptionist speaks English - and we met him in the hotel only in the morning. Nevertheless, the cook is very kind and helpful so without speaking the same language we could spend there really nice time.

The location was the main issue, anything worth doing was at least a 30 minute walk away. The riad itself was fine, nothing special, it all worked, the staff were good. The breakfasts were really good, standard riad fare though.

This hotel is old needs upgrade and it's very far from the medina.. The area is very scary at night. No tv in the room and the portable heater could not heat up the whole room. They never give us new towels.they charge us tourism fee and this was unexpected. No map provided for guest.

We spent a lot of time trying to locate the place, cars can't get to it,there is considerable walking distance to get to it. The facility is very clean and very well decorated. Bed was very comfy, stayed one night only. I will not go there again due to the hardness of getting to it plus no cars close by.

Disappointing facilities and not the same room as on the picture. the Dar was in the middle of the old city. the breakfast was ok. Zakarya was helpful and nice. no door in the toilet. poor internet, it was very hard to connect. It should be nicer or cheaper (even in summer)

Good rooms, great breakfast on roof terrace. Beware of airport transfer - if you're good with French or have been to the area before you may be able to get to the riad for much less than the 20€ airport transfer. Being from the UK the price sounds good, but after you've spent some time in Rabat you quickly learn that taxis should be dirt cheap and every driver will try to take advantage of you as you're a tourist.

The manager and staff were wonderful. The rooms were sufficient. Breakfast was fresh and the wifi was perfect when compared to many of my stays at other Morocco hotels. The area does not seem to be safe so I recommend that you arrive during the day. If you do arrive at night I suggest that you call the Riad first and ask for someone to meet you at the entrance of the alley they are in. They will gladly walk you to the Riad.

Beautiful Riad, very clean and well decorated, with a very friendly hostess who did her best to help and advise us. Moroccan breakfast and meals in the Riad are excellent. The street in the Medina leading to the Riad was less clean, but it was being renovated. Cheap taxi ride to Rabat center.

Friendly staff, great roof-top terrace, nice rooms. Be aware that this Ryad is not in Rabat, but in the city Salé just north of Rabat. There is a new tram connecting to Rabat, so if that is your main interest no problem. The Ryad is situated as an oasis in an alley in the medina (old town) of Salé, where not manby tourists go, so if you would a sence of a 'normal' Moroccan medina, where nothing is set-up for the tourists this is perfect - as you can go around on the market in Salé without being bothered.

The building is not built straight, so I kept feeling like I was falling over (particularly when walking up and down the staircase). Our room was comfortable, though the shared toilet facility did not have a sink, you had to climb a flight of stairs to find a communal sink.

If you can stay closer to the city center it would be a better idea. I was disappointed about how misleading the map and directions are. It's really quite a trek into town. I also did not enjoy how rude the woman manager was, everything I asked about was greeted with an impolite response or a reason for why it was not possible. The hotel even changed our room when we were out moving/touching all of our things and placing 3 of us into a very small room next to the bathroom.

The problem was that even though the local taxi drivers did not know the existence of the riad. Therefore it was too complicated for us to be taken back. In overall, the Riad was extremely comfort (big rooms and private bathrooms), well decorated (according to traditional marocan style), clean enough, quiet. Above all, the service was excellent (breakfast served at 06.00 upon request, welcome drink etc) and all people very friendly and hospitable !!!

It was little bit difficult to find because it is located cross the river in part of Rabat called Sale (Medina de Sale), our GPS bring to the dead end street, so we have to walk to find accommodation. When we got there owner was very helpful with information's about sightseeing. Room was clean, Breakfast was fair. Inside of the house is nice, traditional. The only thing you have to watch out is, when you go to the showers, be very careful, because ceiling on the stairs is so low that you can hit very hard with your head.
