The riad was beautiful, clean, large, comfortable, in a great location, and staffed by very friendly, helpful people. Our room was really big as was the bathroom (make sure you get a room with a toilet if that's a necessity for you). It was probably the size of a NYC studio apartment. The interior was well decorated and architecturally beautiful. We enjoyed drinks on the terrace in the evening. It was cool and pleasant. Breakfast was delicious. The Medina in Rabat is a delightful location.
Cons: Nothing. Be mindful that you must walk from the main roads through the Medina with your luggage to get to the riad. It was about a 400m (1/4 mile) walk.

Cons: On nous à déplacé à Riad Kalaa 2 alors que nous avions réservé au Riad 1, le principal. Cela fut sans conséquence fâcheuse mais néanmoins surprenant. La salle de bain aurait pu être d’un niveau supérieur considérant le prix payé pour la chambre.

Full of charm. Plenty of space for a large family. The suites were beautifully decorated, like something out of One Thousand and One Nights. The pool was wonderful and the view from the rooftop terrace breathtaking.
Cons: A bit too expensive. We had cancelled a room but still had to pay for it. The top floor room was swarming with ants. There were eight of us, and one place setting for breakfast was missing. No one came to the table to ask if I want to eat or drink coffee I didn't. I had to chase after them to get anything at all for breakfast. I stayed a lot of Riads but this was a bit strange.

Das Riad liegt gut und unser Appartement ist zwar schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen und es gab eine Ameisenstrasse in der Toilette, aber es ließ sich gut drin verweilen.

The location was really good, close walk to most of the attractions and spacious room. Pretty internal courtyard.
Cons: After staying in Riad's throughout Morocco while beautiful there was just something lacking. My room was really dark and the hot water also ran out when I wanted to wash my hair which wasn't ideal. Couldn't swim in the pool as the water was dirty, lots of pigeons bathing and poo'ing in the water. There was a lack of female FOH staff which has really seemed to make a difference in the other Riad's we stayed at. Being the capital of Morocco we had expected the English to be on par if not better however in Rabat as a whole English is not spoken as well as it is in other parts of the country, I think the lack of being able to communicate also played a part in the experience of our stay.

The rooftop pool and terrace is beautiful, a fabulous little oasis from the heat. It's mainly a very peaceful place (unless loud guests arrive, in which case there's no escape from them in such a small space). The decor is traditional and really striking when you first arrive, very impressive.. The staff were very kind and helpful, the breakfast was lovely and beautifully presented. The riad is only a short walk from the medina wall (which is helpful as taxis cannot access the tiny medina streets/drop you to the door).
Cons: If the riad is full then you will be up close and personal with other guests, as is the case with all riads - you will hear when they turn on the shower, you will hear them talking, it's just the design of these guesthouses. If you know that in advance and are ok with that, then I would happily recommend a stay here

Very nice riad in good location in the medina. Room was good size and comfortable. Food in restaurant was delicious. Rooftop dipping pool was really nice.
Cons: There was a problem with the plumbing that woke us up in the middle of the night with a very loud noise. They fixed it the next day when we told them about it. They compensated us with a complimentary bottle of wine with dinner.

Cons: Le seul défaut est que les chambres du rez de chaussée sont vraiment mal isolées du séjour où tout le monde dîne et parle le soir, et prend le petit déjeuner le matin, seules les portes en bois séparent la chambre et la salle de bain de cet espace collectif, sans isolation phonique, ce qui gêne l'intimité et la tranquillité. A part ça un séjour parfait, un accueil formidable

Tres bon emplacement au mileu de la medina, cela permet de faire le souk, la visite de la vielle ville et du bord de mer à pied. Riad tres jolie, chambre bien aménager avec petit frigo, coffre grande beignoire et netflix (du jamais vue). Il y a aussi de l'eau filtré à disposition ceux qui est très appréciable. Piscine tres sympa (pourrais être un peu plus propre) et manque de reactivité de la part du personnel pour les serviettes sur les transats. Petit déjeuner complet et tres copieux.
Cons: Par contre les chambres dans le patio n'ont pas de fenêtre sur l'extérieur, uniquement sur le patio (donc du vis à vis constant). L'hôtel propose un repas mais au prix européen (entrée, plat, dessert) pour 290.00 drh donc 30.00 euro. Dommage qu'il y ait que ça comme choix car trop cher. Attention prévoir les taxes de séjour à payer en arrivant. Petit bémol à part le serveur du matin, le personnel parlent peu le français alors que la majorité des tourist sont français.

Cons: The stay had potential, but unfortunately the A/C in our room wasn’t working properly. It was extremely noisy, making it impossible to use. We opened the window for some air, but that let in mosquitoes and led to a very uncomfortable, sleepless night. Our friend’s A/C was working fine, so it may have just been an isolated issue, but it’s something the staff should catch beforehand. We reported the problem in the morning, but since it was just a one-night stay, no effort was made to follow up or offer any gesture to address the inconvenience. That was a bit disappointing, especially since the previous days we had a much better experience at a nearby riad for half the price

Beautiful Riad in an excellent location, we loved our room. All the staff were very kind and helpful, they arranged transfers from the airport before we arrived and were also happy to help during our stay. All areas of the Riad were spotlessly clean. We enjoyed relaxing on the rooftop and by the small pool after a day sightseeing.
Cons: On more than one occasion the water wasn’t hot and the pressure in the shower was non-existent, it completely stopped working or was a slight trickle once you were in the shower which got a bit annoying trying to rinse off shampoo.

Nous avons séjourné trois nuits au Riad Kalaa, idéalement situé en plein centre de la médina de Rabat. L’emplacement est parfait pour découvrir la ville à pied, et l’ensemble du personnel a été attentionné, accueillant et professionnel. La chambre était propre, confortable, et le petit déjeuner, servi chaque matin, était copieux et très bon. Nous avons également testé le restaurant du Riad : une belle surprise, à condition de penser à réserver avant 16h.
Cons: Un point noir a malheureusement impacté notre expérience : la terrasse et la piscine sont envahies en permanence par les pigeons. Leurs allers-retours incessants, parfois très proches, rendent l’espace beaucoup moins agréable qu’il ne pourrait l’être. De plus, nous avons profité de la piscine les deux premiers jours, mais à la fin du deuxième jour, elle a été vidée. C’est à ce moment que nous avons découvert que l’eau, que nous pensions simplement trouble, était en réalité très sale : elle était noire et on ne voyait pas le fond. Elle a été de nouveau remplie le troisième matin, et nous avons alors compris que les mosaïques rendaient normalement l’eau claire et belle ce qui n’était pas le cas les deux jours précédents… Ce souci de propreté de la piscine, certainement accentué par la présence des pigeons qui y boivent et s’y posent, est selon nous un point à corriger rapidement. Cela nous a déçus, d’autant plus que nous envisagions de revenir l’année prochaine. Nous réfléchirons à cette option en fonction d’éventuelles améliorations.

The Riad Kaala 1 and Kaala 2 are equally fabulous! We had a fantastic stay in Kaala 2 where we had an executive suite with terrace, airco and one floor up a shared wonderful rooftop with a tiny swimming pool and panoramic view. The staff is extremely kind and they do more than their best to satisfy the clients. The restaurant that is located in Kaala 1 is excellent.
Cons: Originally they gave us an executive room in Kaala 1, that actually is a big apartment with separate entrance. For us it was not really convenient having steep steps up and down to the bathroom, not easy during the night. And no airco in the bedrooms. We were then relocated in Kaala 2 that it was perfect.

Really lovely small Riad in the centre of town. It was a public holiday the time we were there and we ate in two nights in their little courtyard, food was lovely, breakfasts where the best we had in Morrocco.
Cons: We were on the upper level but some of the bedrooms were straight on the courtyard which meant for those visitors they would have people dining right outside their door. We ordered a taxi from the reception to take us to the airport at 3.00 am on a public holiday Rome2rio had estimated this to be 100dh. They charged 400dh, but what can you do given the holiday and early start but ……

We dined at this riad (we stayed at the sister riad — Kalaa 2). The food and service were excellent, prices were reasonable, and — for those who wish — they have wine (Moroccan) and spirits. The salmon with saffron-lemon sauce was perfectly cooked. The selection of b’stillas was also very enjoyable.

Een super mooie riad, gelegen middenin de medina, en toch heel rustig. Bij binnenkomst is het middenplein indrukwekkend, super mooi! Onthaal met fruitsapje, vriendelijk personeel. We hadden een hele ruime kamer en badkamer. Een heel lekker ontbijt, inclusief yoghurt, fruit, verse gebakjes... In de riad was er een algemeen rustige sfeer. Het zwembadje zorgde voor de nodige afkoeling.

Just got back from here. We got a 2 room apartment across from the main building. It had a fully equipped kitchen (that we didn't use) too. The staff were friendly and efficient. The apartment was quiet, quaint and quirky and suited us fine but don't expect the same type of rooms as new build 4 star. Think this was built in 1815 and the apartment reflects this in style. Breakfast was basic but good. Generally we felt very safe in Rabat, the street vendors didn't harass us and the people were extremely friendly. A little bit of French language helps. We would return

Check in was fantastic, we had peppermint tea and biscuits with a great explanation of where to go on the local area and a map. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great, fresh bread and orange juice with fruit, yoghurt, cheese, pastries and eggs.
Cons: A room not on the ground floor might be more private because it would be away from the breakfast area but I will not complain because our room was beautiful.

Le personnel est adorable et serviable. Ils n’ont pas hésité à venir me chercher après minuit à l’entrée de la médina pour me ramener à l’hôtel et cela malgré l’heure tardive. La literie est très confortable. Le petit déjeuner est également copieux et très bon. Riad très bien placé au cœur de la médina. Je garderai un bon souvenir ce séjour.
Cons: Il y a des petits bêtes volantes dans la patio liée la verdure mais pas très gênant en soit dans les chambres. À noter que les chargeurs ne fonctionnaient que si les lumières étaient allumées. Et nous avons expérimenté des petites coupures d’électricité dans la nuit ou tôt le matin mais ça ne durait généralement pas longtemps.

Sehr freundliche Betreuung durch Idahmed Ayoub, der perfektes Englisch spricht. Wir hatten eine Suite im Obergeschoss und das war super. Ganz ruhig und mit zwei Fenstern nach aussen und einem Fenster zur Dachterrasse. Unten im Erdgeschoss wäre es uns zu laut gewesen, da dort die Gäste essen. Die Dachterrasse ist toll und das Erdgeschoss umwerfend schön; hier wird auch das leckere Frühstück und das Abendessen serviert. Das 3 Gänge Abendessen ist mit 290 Dirham für Marokko hochpreisig, insbesondere der Hauptgang (Lamm Tajine) war aber sehr lecker. Eine Flasche Wein zum Abend kostet zwischen 150 und 240 Dirham. Wenn etwas fehlt einfach Bescheid sagen, die Angestellten sind sehr bemüht, Wünsche zu erfüllen.

Die vielen verspielten marokkanischen Details im Zimmer und auch im Innenhof sind faszinierend. Sie sorgen sofort für das Gefühl einer authentischen Umgebung. Nicht gekünstelt für den Touristen. Sondern echt. Das Frühstück ist sehr typisch und der Service echt herausragend. Wir haben das Angebot eines hammam Besuches angenommen, das in einem Partnerhotel ca. 5 min Fußweg entfernt durchgeführt würde. Wir waren begeistert. Knapp zwei Stunden für uns zu zweit. Pure Erholung Die Dachterrasse ist sehr schön, aber natürlich auch windig. Das Pool dort oben ist klein, aber zur Abkühlung sicher gut geeignet. Wir haben es allerdings nicht selbst genutzt. Wir hatten eine Suite mit Ausgang auf den Innenhof im Erdgeschoss. Auch wenn wir zunächst bedenken hatten, weil ja dort abends auch essen serviert wird (haben wir nicht genutzt), war immer spätestens um 23 Uhr Ruhe. Auf unsere Fragen würde uns immer kompetent geantwortet
Cons: Wenn man etwas suchen will, dann ist es grundsätzlich die hellhorigkeit der Zimmer. Aber das kann die Gesamtwertung eines hervorragenden Riad nicht negativ beeinflussen.

We stayed in Riad Kalaa on our first night in Morocco and it was brilliant. Our room was beautiful, every detail was perfect. Lovely bedding and huge fluffy towels. They arranged a taxi from the airport for us and he walked us to the Riad which was great. The staff were friendly and helpful and gave us advice on where to walk to get the best out of the medina. Breakfast was lovely, fruit, yoghurt, cheese, bread, cake and eggs cooked to order.

This property is amazing!!! A truly unique Moroccan experience with modern touches. The room was beautifully appointed and was breathtaking with tall ceilings and a private bathroom with the softest towels, towel warmer and high end toiletries. Luxury linens added to the comfort. Wonderful staff ensures your stay is perfect. Lovely breakfast where everything is made from scratch. Dinner reservations are recommended, as they had no availability during our stay. We did sneak a peek in the kitchen and the food looked glorious. Meticulously clean, and the rooftop deck and pool are stunning. Parking can be a challenge, and you do have to walk a bit through a maze of tiny streets, but absolutely worth it!

Perfect Riad! Beautiful rooms, very very kind staff. They tried to make our stay really comfortable. My girlfriend was a bit sick during our stay and EVERYONE in the staff helped us to feel at home still. My favorite sentence ‚no worries!‘ - that‘s what we heard the most. Overall great stay and great place! And the food in the restaurant is delicious, we ate there every evening of our stay, because Rabat doesn‘t have that much restaurants in the Medina to offer. From breakfast to dinner really really good. If there is something I have to critisize: WiFi doens‘t work perfect in all rooms and sometimes the service forgot about 1-2 minor things like bread on the table and such things - but as I said: 9,5/10 for me and my partner!

We arrived with an expectation of a lovely, comfortable place. We were placed in the sister facility, #2, there was no sign or other indication that a riad was there. The courtyard is open to the sky, lovely during warmer months. In December it was cold. A covering was pulled over, so no sun and no heaters. Breakfast was in your coat. Our room was 3 flights up, again not was expected. Most room descriptions talk about ground level. The furniture was old and extremely firm, no, it was hard. The room was cold and the only source of heat was at the end of the long room. It was noisy as it cycled on and off all night. It takes hours to warm up the room. I did not take a shower the first night because I was cold, the second night the hot water heater was broken. Internet in our room was very poor, it is better in the courtyard, but again, chilly. The room had few, very small windows, so it was dark. The entire room ran along the alley, so you heard every motorbike, person and cart in the alley. It did quiet down around midnight. Not sure about the value for the price since it was booked for us by Kensington Travel as part of a package. Don’t book based on photos. All the photos and descriptions are of their primary riad, not #2.

I have been to Riad Kalaa many times for dinner as the food is great and the atmosphere, beautiful. But on this visit to Rabat my usual place couldn’t take us so I decided to stay at Kalaa. What a fabulous place it is. Beautiful rooms and really comfortable beds. A fabulous dinner and an even better breakfast. A special shout out to Zakaria & Hamza. Exceptional young guys who took tremendous care of us. I don’t think I’ll ever return to my usual riad now I’ve stayed at Kalaa. I stayed in Kalaa 2 in October as Kalaa 1 couldn’t take us and that is just as good although slightly further into the medina. Highly recommend both.

The breakfast was first rate! If breakfast was the only thing served at this hotel, I'd return just for that. Did not like the damp odor from the bathroom. There needs to be some device that keeps all the moisture within the shower area. Its a humid climate so water from the shower gets on the floor of the bathroom and never dries properly hence the odor of mildew.

Cons: Le riad est dans la medina, donc pas possible d y acceder en voiture, mais parking juste à 3min à pieds. Les chambres du rez de chaussée entour le patio où le petit déjeuner est servie ce qui veut dire que vous entendez tout ce qui s y passe. C est un peu dérangeant, mais c est ce qui fait aussi le charme des riads.

Le Riad est situé au cœur de la Médina, ce qui permet de profiter de l'ambiance locale. Plein de charme, avec un très beau patio et une terrasse à l'étage agréable pour se détendre. Les chambres sont propres, la literie très confortable et les serviettes de toilette sont épaisses. Le petit-déjeuner est délicieux, offrant une belle variété de saveurs locales. Le Riad est typique, avec les fenêtres des chambres qui donnent sur le patio central où se trouvent les tables pour le restaurant et le petit déjeuner ; cela peut surprendre, surtout quand on donne au rez-de-chaussée, mais cela ne nous a pas dérangé. Nous étions avec un groupe d'amis, et chacun avait des chambres avec des configurations différentes, certaines disposant d'un étage. Le personnel est charmant. Nous avons passé un excellent séjour. Il est également possible de profiter (en supplément) d’un hammam situé dans un autre Riad pas loin dans la Médina, l'expérience en vaut vraiment la peine !

Terrible review because the Dar Dar Riad staff moved our luggage to Riad Kaala without our permission and when we went for check out the luggage was gone. They thought we were with tour group and we were not. And we were not ready for checkout. They lost some our luggage and now I am getting a run around to find the luggage

Riads are tough to review. Parking is always horrendous - don’t believe them when they say “offsite parking available.” This is a cop out - you will be finding street parking and making a deal with a total stranger who could care less about the Riad. And they will try to scam you for a higher rate. This is well decorated and the staff is excellent. But the rooms are weirdly laid out. See some pictures. This includes floor level windows that open to the center courtyard etc. and uneven floors. Just know what you are getting into

Sehr schönes Riad. Es liegt in der Innenstadt, ist aber zu Fuß gut erreichbar. Parken kann man auf einem öffentlichen Parkplatz in der Nähe. Das Riad ist sehr hübsch und die Betten sind sehr bequem. Das Personal war sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich. Das Frühstück war eines der besten, welches ich in Marokko bekommen habe. Es ist sehr zu empfehlen. Wenn man etwas Zeit hat, kann man auch sich auch eine Massage in dem Riad eigenen Hamam gönnen.
Cons: Es war zunächst mit dem Parkplatz etwas verwirrend. Aber das Personal hat super schnell auf meine Anfrage reagiert und geholfen.

A really lovely riad in a good location, close to the Kasbah and Andalusian Gardens. Great pool with comfortable loungers and pleasant garden surrounds. The rooms were a good size, clean and airy (or air conditioned if preferred). Quality linen and very comfortable beds with a range of pillows, according to taste. Bathroom towels were large and soft and gorgeous complimentary products provided. Complimentary fruit (incl amazing peaches!) was a very nicectouch, as was complimentary water. The staff were all friendly and welcoming, with mint tea offered at check-in. We did not eat dinner at the Riad, but its restaurant was full each night of our visit. Breakfasts were delicious and plentiful. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would certainly return. Highly recommended.
Cons: We liked everything. However, our taxi driver had a little difficulty find the Riad as it is inside the medina. The staff kindly sent someone to guide us. I recommend asking taxi drivers to deliver you to the medina entrance opposite the Bab Oudayas/Andalusian Gardens ad it is a simple walk in from there.

The riad was a welcoming, romantic peaceful sanctuary. It's also in a perfect location. Close to the sights but apart from the noise.

Wunderschön! Personal war ausgesprochen nett. Waren immer bemüht es dem Gast recht zu machen. Besonders Hamza fiel mit seiner sympathischen und herzlichen Ausstrahlung besonders auf. Wir hatten die Zimmer im Erdgeschoss. Den morgendlichen Lärm kann ich somit nicht bestätigen. Die Dachterasse war wunderschön und dort konnte man sich Sonnen und entspannen. Der Pool war ausreichend und sauber. Ich empfehle euch ein Insektenspray mitzunehmen. Das Frühstück war sensationell! Alles frisch und köstlich. Am ersten Tag aßen wir zu Abend auswärts. Am zweiten entschieden wir uns im Riad zu essen .der unterschied ist enorm! Im Riad hat es uns besser gefallen und preislich lagen wir bei beiden gleich.

Wir hatten zwei verschiedene Zimmer, da wir noch eine Nacht dazugebucht haben. Die Oriental Suite war auf zwei Stockwerken. Uns hat jedoch das Zimmer Jasmin direkt unter dem Dach besser gefallen. Das Frühstück war gut. Wir haben eine Hammam-Behandlung mit Massage gebucht. Es war super.

It was a convenient place as it was walking distance to the beach area, castle and the souk (shopping areas). Different experience as it was in the old city (medina). Staff was very nice. Food was good. The breakfast was excellent. It was clean. Room was good. Parking was not very convenient. Had to wait a while to find parking in the public parking area where we had to pay daily parking. The shower area in the bathroom is a little aged, could do with an upgrade. Overall we enjoyed our stay there, would recommend to others.

A beautiful Riad located in the Rabat Medina. Staff were really nice. The included breakfast in the gorgeous central courtyard was excellent. The facility was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. We would definitely recommend Riad Kalaa.

This is a hidden gem Iwe stayed a night then went to Casablance. It was so good that we went back for another two nights. The staff could not have been more friendly or helpful. If you are travelling to Rabat I could not recommend it highly enough :-)

Cons: Nous n’avons pas pu regarder la télévision qui ne fonctionnait pas, le wifi ne fonctionnait pas non plus! La chaudière était en panne et nous n’avons pas pu profiter d’eau chaude. Dommage même les fourmis qui niche dans la salle de bain ne peuvent pas prendre de douche chaude. L’accueil nous a réservé un transfert pour la gare et nous a fait payer à l’avance, une fois arrivé le chauffeur nous a réclamé à nouveau la somme :(

Excellent location with helpful staff. Lovely courtyard and superb breakfast. As a first timer to Morocco this was the first place we stayed at. It was a great experience staying in a Riad. Our 8 year old really enjoyed the breakfast spread of local delicacies and the staff is happy to accommodate requests. The room was very comfortable - we had a split level room for family of 3, which suited our needs perfectly.

The location was very good,easy to arrive both to the center of the medina and to exit the medina. The street of the riad is very nice. Also the quality of the food was great both dinner and breakfast. Staff help a lot with reservations taxi/ dinner/etc.
Cons: Our room was in the ground floor , one door separated us from the dinner/breakfast room, we literally heart everything, couldnt sleep until all guests finished dinner and woke up with guests having breakfast at 7am. Also we couldnt open windows since there was no privacy and everyone could look from the dinner/ breakfast room, so no natural light. Furthermore I booked a suite which pictures show a bathtub but there was just a shower in the room. We asked for a change of room and they say that was not possible. Dinner was very expensive -50€/person (with wine) but we didnt want to walk in the medina during the night.

Cons: Tuvimos una experiencia horrible en este Riad. Pedimos un taxi el día anterior porque nuestro avión salía a las 6:40 de la mañana. Nos aseguraron dos veces que el taxi iba a estar esperando a las 4:30 de la madrugada. Cuando bajamos, para nuestra sorpresa no había nadie y la puerta del Riad estaba cerrada por lo que no pudimos ni salir. Después de un tiempo conseguimos ponernos en contacto con un miembro del personal que ni siquiera hablaba Inglés. Llamó al taxi y nos dijo que no estaba. Tuvimos que deambular por Rabat a las 5 de la mañana para conseguir un taxi que nos llevara a un taxi más grande porque esos taxis sólo circulaban por la ciudad. Finalmente llegamos tarde al aeropuerto y gracias a que el avión había tenido un retraso de 2h pudimos cogerlo, si no lo hubiéramos perdido. Nos pusimos en contacto con el hotel para informarles lo ocurrido y no hemos recibido contestación alguna. A día de hoy no hemos recibido ninguna disculpa.

Cons: Bathroom fawcett only ran cold water. Had to use the bath tub to get hot water: likely a minor plumbing malfunction that we were too tired, after a long day, to report to the staff.

Cons: We booked this specific room because of the bath. Once we got there we found out that we couldnt use it because the plug was missing. We reported this. But they didnt came with a solution. This riad is truly lovely. The parking is not great if you arrive in the evening, but they sent a porter to meet our driver to carry our suitcases and show the way. It’s very nicely located and the staff were super friendly and helpful. We did not eat dinner here, opting instead for Le Dhow, which is also lovely and very nearby. Breakfast was delicious and the service was attentive, but not fast by American standards, so leave plenty of time if you have a morning departure. The beds were super comfortable and the bathroom is huge. It was a great stay and I highly recommend it!

The Riad is situated in the old médina of Rabat, and there’s a parking spot close by. The riad itself is absolutely beautiful, with tall walls and many plants. The pool area on the roof top is also gorgeous with some possibilities to lounge and enjoy the sun. Last but not least the staff was great. Very helpful and competent.
Cons: The riad does have a bit of a problem with ants. This might be due to the old masonry, I don’t know. But we stayed in other riads in Rabat and it was never a problem. Here on the other hand we had a lot of ants in our room and even in our bed. On the first night this was surely our fault, since we left some food in the room and didn’t read the instructions by the riad pertaining to this issue, but then the cleaning lady was nice enough to properly clean the room the second day. Sadly, there were still a number of ants in our bed, which downgraded our stay a little. Lastly, the hot water was not reliable.

pour une première dans un Riad, nous avons été totalement conquis par la beauté du lieu. je le suis découvert un amour pour les Riad et l’ambiance très intimiste qui y règne. mobilier moderne mais qui se marie parfaitement avec la beauté du lieu. la petite piscine est au calme, un bonheur pour les couple qui vienne en quête d’intimité et de repos. petit déjeuner top!

Il Riad è luogo tranquillo, pulito e accogliente. Le camere sono ben curate così come il dehor e la piscina sul roof top. Arredato con molto gusto e il cibo offerto a colazione era molto buono. Unico consigliamo che ci sentiamo di dare: l’attesa per l’assegnazione della stanza è stata un po’ lunga (avevamo avvertito che saremmo arrivati prima) e ci aspettavano un’offerta di servizi come escursioni, visite guidate o accessi ai musei della città. We loved our stay at Riad Kalaa. The staff are so welcoming and the room was large and so was the bathroom. The Riad itself is beautiful, a welcoming downstairs garden where a delicious breakfast is served and a rooftop with a pool and communal areas both in and out of sunlight. We enjoyed relaxing up on the rooftop. Highly recommend eating dinner the Riad aswell- high class food and service. Can’t recommend this place enough :)

Cons: Les boissons alcooliques qu'on servait devant des enfants sur la terasse ou bien devant la piscine et les cigarrettes car les gens pouvaient fumer où bon leur semblait. Vaut mieux mettre un emplacement fumeurs et boissons alcooliques loin des espaces partagés et dans un endroit bien précis comme ça les intéressés sauront se rendre à l'espace Bar.

Le calme et la localisation. C’est un très mignon petit Riad joliment décoré. Les chambres au rez-de-chaussée autour de la cours sont spacieuses et celles sur le toit autour de la piscine sont plus petites mais très bien pensées avec même une baignoire dans la salle de bain. Prendre un apéritif le soir sur la terrasse est divin. Personnel charmant un vrai plaisir !

Cons: le riad se donne un air un peu chic du coup les tarifs y sont très élevés (chambre, repas....) et le personnel y est plus commercial que chaleureux et surtout en 3 semaines de riads au Maroc c'est le petit déjeuner le moins bien que nous ayons eu (pas de vrai jus d'orange, pas d'oeuf....) et que nous n'avons pas pu prendre en terrasse : bien dommage Il serait bien d'annoncer dès la présentation du riad sur Booking (ou au moins après la réservation) où stationner et le nom exact d'un parking à entrer dans un GPS (MAPS.ME) (pour ce riad il était judicieux de se garer au PARKING LAALOU mais nous ne le savions pas d'avance et avons dû déménager notre voiture d'un bout à l'autre autour de la médina) et ensuite de communiquer un plan pour aller à pied du parking au riad car c'est souvent très compliqué de s'y retrouver dans les petites ruelles des médinas

Sehr schönes Riad mit wunderschöner Dachterrasse (auch der Pool war sehr schön). Es war sehr sauber und das Frühstück war auch sehr gut. Unseren Aufenthalt haben wir sehr genossen! Gerne kommen wir nochmal wieder. Auch die Lage war perfekt, das Riad liegt in in der Medina - viele Sehenswürdigkeiten sind zu Fuß gut erreichbar!

Clean, well designed, nice rooms and rooftop area with pool. Good food, and they offer drinks. Staff was friendly and helpful. Airport shuttle at 3:30 AM worked out perfectly fine. Location is easy to be found in the old Town but it's easy to access other parts of the city.

Le riad est vraiment magnifique. Très bien décoré dans le style marocain , une terrasse très jolie et reposante avec une petite piscine , des transats, parasols, de la verdure . La chambre est très jolie aussi et très confortable. Le petit déjeuner est délicieux et copieux, que des bons produits . Le riad est très bien placé dans la medina proche de la kasbah oudayas , dans une petite rue très calme il n'y a pas de passage . On cherchais le calme étant habituellement à Casablanca donc nous avons pu nous reposer dans ce petit Havre de paix . Nous allons sûrement revenir prochainement car ayant fait beaucoup de riads au Maroc c'est vraiment le plus jolie que j'ai vu pour l'instant.
Cons: Le seul point négatif est le fait que nous ne pouvons pas prendre le petit déjeuner sur la terrasse qui est magnifique, c'est le premier riad que je fait où l'on nous dit qu'il n'es pas possible de manger en haut à l'extérieur sur la terrasse, d'habitude c'est ce que nous faisons . C'est vraiment dommage mais ce n'es pas très grave . Aussi le prix du thé ( 40dh ).. pour quelqu'un qui vient juste prendre un the sans passer la nuit je peux comprendre mais c'est vraiment beaucoup étant déjà client et connaissant bien les prix au Maroc . Des petits détails sinon tout étais parfait .

Cons: In den normalen Zimmern kaum Sitzgelegenheiten aufgrund der knappen.Grösse. Die Zimmer zum Innenhof hin können laut sein wegen der Gespräche der dort speisenden Gäste. Und der schöne Dachpool sollte beheizt sein. Dafür hätte ich auch gern etwas mehr bezahlt

The riad was absolutely stunning. Really beautiful spaces and our room was excellent. Breakfast was really good too. We had drinks there but not dinner, which is a shame because they looked phenomenal. No faults other than trying to find it on our first day...
Cons: ...and on to the location. This wasn't an easy Riad to find. We actually found their sister property a short walk away and followed similarly lost guests back to the Riad. I would suggest they consider some helpful signage. This is really the only downside but easily fixable.

The staff at this Riyad are very friendly and helpful, especially Rania. Alas, the room, itself was not so great, both in design/location, and in the level of upkeep. We stayed in an "oriental suite", of which there are 4 in the property. Each one is just off the main courtyard and the shortcomings were (i) There are no windows in the bedroom which makes it very dark and stuffy, (ii) the bathroom could do with a good renovation -- there is mold/damp on the walls and (iii) while there are small windows in the bathroom these open directly onto the courtyard which is not great for privacy and (iv) the furnishings are of lower quality than a Riad of this rating/price should have. On the positive side the courtyard is beautiful and the breakfast was substantial and tasty. And the staff was friendly as mentioned.

Cons: The shower to our room had no hot water and the WiFi connection was terrible. Also the television didn't work (just testing it out). The dinner at the Riad was very expensive for what it was and the breakfast (included) although nice was not as good as others at cheaper places. All in all I would not go back

Sehr schönes und komfortables Riad an guter Lage. Sehr schöner Pool auf dem Dach. Unser Zimmer war auf Pool-Ebene, daher ruhig gelegen, weg von Rezeption und Restaurant. Im Restaurant gab es auch Bier und Wein. Das WiFi war ebenfalls prima. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit (speziell Rania). Die Parkplätze in der Nähe sind öffentlich und stark besucht. Weiter weg am Meer gibt es zahlreiche Parkplätze (12-15 Gehminuten).

The staff are very friendly, the Riad is cozy and feels home. Great service that they provided a private driver to pick me up from Casablanca Airport directly to Rabat (with extra fees). The streets around are not clean and smells bad, some rooms are noisy depends on where the bed is located. Some rooms don't have شطاف in the toilet. Overall it was a good experience.

Cons: If you are a jogger or just prefer a quiet morning walk, you have no chance to leave Riad earlier than 7 am. The exit will be locked and staff unavailable. Once I have even received a promise (a "guarantee" as they said) that they will unlock the door at 6 am, but still the door was locked. It was a disappointment. Food in Riad was overpriced, but you can find options in the neighborhood.

Central location, very safe (door closed all the time), clean and quiet
Cons: Breakfast service is quite slow (only 1 man to take care of all the guests - he’s doing a great job but needs help). Swimming pool is tiny.

Advantages: The room contains beautiful designs and huge. The ceiling is high and fancy. The cleaning products are in good conditions. The people who worked at Jan 2nd - great. Disadvantages: We waited over 10 minutes to check in - we had to make self check in, because workers were busy with their business, such as cleaning wine cups and hosting some else. Our room located in the first floor, which means people who had lunch or dinner were able to see us easily to walk in ( feel like we are living at a Zoo). Moreover, many sensitive holes next to the windows and doors at room, you were able to see someone who was drinking and laughing outside throughout those lines and holes. One of hole was not fully covered in our shower room’ window when we checked in, which obviously ruined the privacy. We requested a worker to fix the opened line in our shower window, a lady who wore glasses frame acted unhappy and unwilling attitude, then she managed another worker to fix our room with a poor tape... yes, TAPE.... covered the window.... otherwise, musics displayed until 11pm, please do not book if you like to sleep early or you plan to wake up early at morning. Finally , No enough hot water to take shower for two people........ Overall, the worse living experience ever .......

Incredibly beautiful, welcoming and friendly staff, we were met with tea and after our long travel day this was amazing. The Riad was clean, and we booked a last minute dinner which was one of the best meals we had. Incredible breakfast as well.

Centrally located in the medina. Walking distance to the landmarks. The property is sparkling clean. Staff was friendly. The rooftop terrasse is nice with a swimming pool. I recommend this place.

Great people and service made up for a lot but can’t make up for everything! Whoever said this was the best riad in Morocco have not been to the riads in Marrakech or Fes. Property was just ok. Location was just ok. Room was also just ok. Price was a bit high given all that.

Stayed here for 4 nights in Rabat as a relaxing getaway with a bit of a cultural aspect. This hotel is a gem! They looked after our every need from helping book a tour to Fez and food and wine during our stay. Bottled water was always available. They went above and beyond in everyway. They had a staff member meet us at the parking lot and guide us to the location in the medina which meant we had no trouble finding it. Only thing to note is that being close to many mosques, you will be awoken @ 6-7 for the call to prayer. So bring earplugs!

The hotel is beautiful and elegant. Our room had a large, comfortable bathroom and the room itself was nicely decorated and welcoming, although we didn't always have heat and WiFi was sometimes spotty in the rooms. We were welcomed upon arrival by a traditional tea and had Moroccan breakfast, included with the room rate, each morning in the lovely courtyard. The location is excellent, right in Rabat's exotic medina and we could hear the muezzin's call to prayer every morning.

The property and staff were very good. The only negative was that diners were in the courtyard (having dinner) until 23:30 and our room was right off the court yard so it was difficult to go to sleep until midnight.

Public areas are beautiful. Location is nice in the Médina but near the entrance. Great food had both dinner and breakfast both were great. Roof top view was nice.

Nice hotel, but in a place not too easy to get there. The staff is very good, but the access to the bathroom it was not good. there was an arch that was to low so you can easily hit your head every time you use de bathroom.

Reserved a room at Riad Kalaa. Check in was nice, but when we entered the room and turned on the TV, the top of the TV was wet. Upon further inspection, it turned out that the air conditioning unit was dripping in 5 places. It was dripping all over the tile stairs, creating a hazard. Management quickly and professionally attempted to solve the problem, but as it was 8:45 p.m., it was necessary to change rooms. The plop-plop-plopping of the water would negate any type of restful sleep. Thus, we were moved to Riad Kalaa 2, a sister property. Riad Kalaa 2 had less amenities (i.e., no restaurant) but still did have breakfast service. Disappointing, as we purposely selected Riad Kalaa for that reason

It was such a beautiful riad! Very authentic looking with the open roof in the centre courtyard. I loved my beautiful room! Breakfast each morning was included, though it could have used some protein. But when I asked for eggs, they made them for me. They don't have an a la carte menu, but I did enjoy their evening 3-course menu. They did their best to guide us to other places to eat, but these are lacking in Rabat and one must be very careful what one eats there, definitely not street food. But the Riad Kalaa is so charming with wonderful employees who even spoke English to us!

Very nice Riad. Wi fi worked very well in our room. The entrance to the riad is a little alarming but once you are inside it is beautiful. I would stay here again.

Not sure how much was related to Ramadan-timing, but service was very slow and female-staff relatively dis-engaged...pool area was uninviting with lots of bird-poo, and in hindsight I would recommend accommodation closer to RabatVille train station
