Sempre prontos a ajudar.

Location, breakfast, the stylish design of the hotel, and the hospitality were all outstanding. We had several irregular situations — a late check-in due to flight delays and very early departures to join tours — but the hotel handled everything perfectly and accommodated us with exceptional care. If you stay here, your trip will definitely be unforgettable. Thank you to all the hotel staff! A special thanks to Mr. Dinar — I truly appreciate your kindness and support!

The location was excellent. Close without being too close to the Jemaa el Fna. The breakfast was very good. The room was large.
Cons: The courtyard was tiny, as was the pool, which was also cold. It would be too small for summer though. The rooms are bare bones and not very attractive or well lit. There was limited hot water for showers. If you tried to shower past 9:30, there was no hot water left. They said they had a new hot water system, and it is clearly not enough for everyone. When we complained, they gave us a ton of excuses, including ridiculous things like the rain (it wasn’t raining and cold and it was raining and hot, so that does not make any sense). They offered to move us to a different Riad, but we would have to spend our last day packing and moving. It was very frustrating to get straight answers out of them. They did give us a refund, which was fair, but we had to fight for it. The alley you walk through is also the litter box of all the local cats. It is smelly and difficult to find a clean place to walk. It can also be noisy in the room we were in from the neighbors.

Very Kind and helpful personnel, you could chat with them all day 😁 Contact from them was few days before our stay to make sure that everything is clear and prepared for us. Great design od the riad and terrace with bar on the roof. Delicious breakfast. They had no problem with keeping our luggage for few hours after check out and printing out our boarding passes. Highly recommend!

The location is in the suk’s and yet easily accessible. Parking is a 5min walk and cot 100mad per day. The roof terrace is lovely with rustic lounging chars and plants. No view but the ambiance more than makes up for it.
Cons: The spa pool in the middle of the riad garden is lovely to look at but is cold water. Too cold to use in November although may be welcome in summer!

Servizio navetta eccellente e veloce .

The Riad was a guest house that was located close to the souk, it was in a quiet area but you were not far from the hustle and bustle. The building and rooms were cleaned, lovely breakfast served daily, and exceptional staff. A particular mention has to be given to Ayub, he was so attentive and ensured we were ok each day. The hosts were also great at organising transfers and excursions throughout our trip.
Cons: The building did have a steep flight of stairs, which my father found difficult due to his reduce mobility. However, the staff were amazing at accommodating his needs by bringing breakfast downstairs to us daily

The property was extremely clean and spacious. Our room was lovely and very comfortable. The staff were very accommodating considering we had early starts for trips they made us take out breakfasts to take with us. Visit the room top bar which is stunning. Good locations close to souks and not far from the main Jemma El Fna.
Cons: If I had to pick one downside is the location, it is down two alley ways and under and arch way which can seem dark and was a little difficult to find. However don’t let this put you off as when you are in the Riad it is like another world, still a lovely place to stay and would recommend!

The building and rooms are very nice, but the manager was quite unkind and rude. While the women employees were very sweet and service-oriented, the male manager had very poor manners. He was dismissive and short. Rather than explaining what is needed or giving context, he simply says things like “you haven’t paid.” We asked him to schedule a taxi for us and he set the hour incorrectly despite multiple confirmations on our end. When we arrived at our agreed upon time, he was very angry and rude, expressing that we had left the taxi driver waiting for an hour. When we expressed that this was the time we had asked for a taxi, he said nothing and brought us to the car angrily.

Great location right in the Medina, our room was spacious, clean and very functional, and most importantly the bed and pillows were comfortable. The water pressure was perfect and there were no hot water issues. Our room was at the ground floor next to the pool and reception, but the other guests were respectful so the riad was not noisy at all (this was my initial concern when booking the room as I did stay in other roads in the past where sleeping was a challenge!). All the staff was lovely, polite, friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome. They genuinely did their best to make us feel comfortable. The food was fresh and very good, which I didn’t expect despite reading previous reviews. We truly enjoyed both our diner and breakfast there and appreciated that snacks were also available to purchase throughout the day. The rooftop terrace, although small, is very pleasant and we did enjoy some time there. Definitely a riad we’ll go back to if we’re ever in Marrakech again.

Great location - walking distance to all major attractions as well as providing a peaceful retreat (I loved the serene background music played in the riad) and delicious traditional Moroccan food. Very central position, cozy hall/reception area with a decorative pool.
Cons: Despite using Google Maps, we had troubles finding the correct entrance. All the other riads on that street had signs - except for Riad Argan. A local boy who was "randomly" sitting along the street took us to the entrance and then asked for money, which we politely declined. It felt like a set-up, as the boy clearly knew the people who opened the door for us. The young man who checked us in, unfortunately, was not welcoming at all - he looked annoyed the entire time. That said, he did walk us outside at 4 a.m. to show us where the airport taxi was waiting, which we appreciated. However, communication the day before had not been easy, and we had to be very proactive to get the information we needed. We had higher expectations for the junior suite we booked. The room is located on the ground floor, right next to the building's entrance and the main hall. The windows of both the bedroom and the bathroom faced directly onto the reception area, and other guests could easily hear everything happening inside the room. It didn’t feel private at all. If you wanted to sleep with the window open for fresh air, guests walking through the main hall could literally see you lying on the bed. On top of that, the room became quite warm at night, despite cooler temperatures outside. There was an old air conditioner in the room, but we didn’t feel comfortable using it.

Wow! We had the best stay at Riad Argan, firstly the position is perfect, book your taxi through the Riad then when the taxi drops you someone will be there waiting for you to walk you the short distance through the medina to the riad. It is a five minute walk and yes part of it is down a dark alley way, but there is a light and other residents would always speak. I suggest when you go out, you take a couple of photos so you can get back with ease! The riad is so lovely, very traditional in looks and feel. Spacious room, there is no tea/coffee making facilities but the staff offer you mint tea at every opportunity. Breakfast was served each morning in the roof terrace, every breakfast was different and plentiful, we really enjoyed all the different offerings. Every member of staff were so very friendly particularly the manager Abty and the other young lad who we apologise for not knowing his name. There is a tv on the ground floor and my husband was able to watch football on it one evening. We went off for 3 days on a mini trip and the riad stored our bags for us then when we returned the bags were in our room waiting for us. When we left a taxi was arranged for us and we were assisted to the carpark (5 minutes walk away) with our bags. Highly recommend staying in this riad

Riad Argan is a little gem in the heart of the Medina. When we arrived at RAK, a driver was already waiting outside to pick us up. He helped with our luggage as well, and the host met us where the road ends to guide us to the Riad as vehicles cannot enter the alleyways. We got to check-in early for free, were welcomed with moroccan tea which was available on demand multiple times throughout our visit. Breakfast was included which was mainly crepes, jams, butter, bread etc…all of the items that our group gladly would eat. The room was beautiful, hot showers were available, terrace was really nice with beds, pillows and blankets provided to gaze at the stars. The location was amazing as it was walking distance from all the attractions and food. The host did an amazing job to always be accommodating to us and we loved having conversations with him. We would definitely return again if we are ever in Marrakech.

Probably the rudest service I ever encountered in Morocco or in any of the 86 countries I have been to. Incredibly patronising and dismissive. A really nasty attitude to have to guests. Also the place is dark and pokey and down dangerous back streets with sketchy characters. Avoid Riad Argan!

The staff was exceptional, they have been taking such good care of us. They made sure our stay was pleasant and amazing. They always asked us how our day was, Ayoub has been the most lovely host during our stay. Everyone went above and beyond to make sure we have a wonderful stay at the hotel. If you have the chance, just book at their website. We loved their tea, the hospitality, and attention. The breakfast had plenty of variation, every day something new to explore. If you request and book the airport transfer, the staff will meet you at the taxi to guide you through souks to bring you to the hotel. That was the best peace of mind we arranged, just knowing someone will get you, and you don’t have to worry to navigate the small and busy alleys to find your stay. We have arranged a tour with them, the price was fair and honest, no markup or whatsoever, and the staff brought us to the van of the tour guide (as there are no cars allowed in the Medina), all free of charge and from the bottom of their heart. Beautiful rooms, with a place to sit, pretty windows that colour your room in soft light. We had the three people suite and it gave us the opportunity to have plenty of benches to relax and enjoy our room. Love it all
Cons: Nothing, everything is exceptional

Staff, especially Ayoub, were very helpful. He was so attentive and helping us out with excursions. Even though the riad is so near the centre, it's quiet and peaceful and a nice escape from the busy streets! Very nice breakfast to start the day.
Cons: When you arrive, call the riad as somebody will meet you to walk you there as not accessible by car. I didn't know to do this and there are young men there with wheel barrows who will grab your case and wheel it to the riab (a 2 minute walk!) Then insist on charging you 100 mad. People on the streets can be very forceful when it comes to getting money out of you....even for pointing you in the right direction!

I cannot recommend this wonderful gem highly enough! I’d rather it was kept a secret, but if you’re looking for a well priced, comfortable, friendly and beautiful Riad then this is your place! Fantastic value but the people make it. Ayoub, the manager, is nothing short of superb! Professional, welcoming, accommodating and super friendly, he made our trip! Nothing was too much trouble! Fatima, the owner, really knows her market! She was also friendly, knowledgeable and very welcoming. We were welcomed with mint tea and local information. The rooms are so comfortable and so very pretty! Everything you need is right there……beds (obviously) air conditioning, fantastic hot and powerful shower, good towels, a good bathroom with mirror and hanging space for your clothing and it is so clean! Full length mirror in the room. Breakfast…….absolutely perfect! We never had the same breakfast twice! The home cooking is excellent. Pastries, cake, breads, eggs, fruit, fabulous coffee and local mint tea all served in the gorgeous little dining area. There is a fantastic roof terrace to enjoy a drink in the late afternoon, soft furnishings, sun beds, tables and chairs…..but intimate enough for some privacy. The other staff were also fantastic! It’s quiet too as it’s just off the main thoroughfare. Once you leave the quiet of the Riad, a couple of left turns and you’re in the thick of the souk…..a short walk to the square and the full Marrakesh experience awaits! Excellent all round! Thank you for such a memorable and enjoyable stay!

Brilliant location. Communication from the moment of booking was outstanding. I’ve been to Marrakech many times before but if it had been my first visit it would have been extremely reassuring.
Cons: There was quite a lot of noise from the surrounding tiny streets (shouting etc). That’s not the riad’s fault though! They were brilliant.

Tagine are the "cheeseburger " of morocco; Nayimas are the best in the land. You can get to know everyone that you're staying with. Ayub is awesome and caters to all of his guests. He explained tea and made it cool for everyone there. I don't know how the temp could be so high but the pool was freezing it saved the day.

1/10** Our experience with this riad was unfortunately anything but positive. The photos on the website give a completely wrong impression of the actual situation. Beware!!!! Very unsafe location. After 9:00 PM it is not possible to walk here as a woman. Location is located between many alleys where you are chased by people who are under the influence. We often had to run to the riad. A roof terrace was promised that was not there, and the rooms looked completely different in reality than in the photos. In addition, the atmosphere was very uncomfortable. The landlord constantly walked past our rooms at night, which made us feel completely uncomfortable. We were also addressed about what time we would return, while we were really on vacation. This felt like an invasion of our privacy. To make matters worse, they even suggested we cancel our booking so we couldn't leave a review. When we complained to them, we were completely ignored and given no service whatsoever. They didn't even say goodbye when we left. All in all, this was a very unpleasant experience and I strongly advise against staying here. I will never come back.

I stayed with my daughter in 3 riad and a resort for our adventure holiday but Argan riad was the best of them all. A very nice different and chic riad,, the cleanliness the coziness and the style, I love it. My room was very spacious and stylish, so is the rooftop. Good location, few meters from the Jemaa-el-Fnac but still very quiet place. Thank you to the host Ayoub, very nice and welcoming, always ready to help, Nahima's food was delicious, tagine, marocan salad...I don't see nothing bad to say about the place, will definitely stay again on my next trip and would recommend it to anybody. Thank you guys!

The roof top terrace was nice and cool in the evening. The female maid was very nice and helpful.
Cons: The rooms smelled of the drains, cracks on walls and broken safe boxes. No kettles, bathrobes, water bottles as stated. Hard bed and dirt on floor. Mohammed and Ayoube mocked us for being Pakistani on the first night when we asked for room change or if it was possible to cancel as we could not stand the smell and the state of the room (10 minutes in to entering the property). Both were saying they are the managers but then said Abdul Noor is the manager and he is in France, he does not allow room changes or refunds. We were threatened if we tried to leave they would take the money from us. On the second day we were offered if they were to remove our reservation from booking.com and act like we did not book the room, they can give us 10% off if we pay the full amount in £. We disagreed. They then demanded we give them cash only and on the receipt instead of the 4088 Moroccan currency we paid, they wrote 4222. We said why they have done this and why cannot we get a real receipt. They said this is all we will be given. A lady called Fatima came later and apologised for the racist comments that were made against us. We told her that we were hurt by these and did not feel like staying here because of the staff. She again said that we would not get any refund for the remaining nights. This has been our worst experience using a hotel abroad. From the moment we stood inside to leaving we felt very uncomfortable. The staff seem to show more respect to the white customers. We will be logging a complaint on booking.com

It was centrally located and the staff was very nice.
Cons: It doesn’t seem like the owners are investing too much $$ in the property. No fresh-squeezed juice in a country known for its citrus and a lot of the furnishings looked shabby. They also required that payment to them needed to be in cash. This is not mentioned on the Bookings site.

We spent 4 nights in this wonderful Riad. A typical Moroccan designed building with a small indoor pool. Ayoub , Mohamed & Naima who was running the Riad during our stay were absolutely fabulous in their service , attention , patient, courteous and affection toward us in dealing with our queries or request. Nothing was a problem for them and always greeted and done with a big smile. I could not praise any higher than say it was the best service we have received in our life. The location was ideal for traveling to the Souks and Médina , the famous Jemaa el-Fnaa was 4 mins away. On behalf of all of us I wish to say to all the staff and management Shukran Habibi and waha waha

The Riad Argan is a charming, clean, and quiet place with just five rooms. The location is truly spectacular and central, allowing us to easily walk to all the main points of interest. We felt completely safe throughout our stay; the place was secure and cozy. Ayoub proved to be an exceptional host, warm, friendly, and always ready to help. His hospitality made us feel like part of the family. On one of the days, we went to the mountains and had to leave before breakfast time, Ayoub provided us with a coffee and a cake before we left so that we wouldn't leave without eating, as everything was closed by that time... On our last day, Ayoub went one step further, taking the initiative to contact the taxi driver, who only spoke Arabic and was having trouble locating the agreed meeting point for our journey to the airport. Thanks to Ayoub's efforts, we arrived at the airport on time, ending our stay with gratitude for his exceptional care.

excellent location, clean and pretty riad. the best thing though is the staff. Nhourin (I apologise if i got this wrong) the manager was amazing. He made us feel incredibly welcomed and comfortable. the Riad is under new management so there was no WiFi, he hotspot us during our entire stay. As two girls travelling alone, our location didn’t feel the most safe, He organised a taxi for us and walked us to the taxi and then organised the return taxi and met us at the taxi to walk us back to the Riad every time. they made home cooked food at the most reasonable price and it was delicious! the Riad had a cosy and clean feel.

Same for Habiba & Wafa with freshly made messemen & baghir in the morning 🙂 This room is on the first floor.

Lovely. Not the location they had on Google which is a sham as that’s how I found them initially. They also said their card machine “wasn’t working” when we went to pay at the end which was annoying as we were told we could pay by card. They were good about vegan food for my partner. Our room was on the ground floor so didn’t feel like we had much privacy. The pool is lovely and the rooftop is nice. They organised an airport pick up for us which was nice. €18 though when our return cost half that.

Cons: We greeted and shown our room, left to our own devices. No towels provided. No locks on the doors at all - when asked they simply said just close the door behind you. Didn't sit well with me. The Riad Argan was perfect for my daughter and I on our first visit to Morocco! Very safe, clean and comfortable. The staff couldn’t been more helpful and welcoming. We felt vey much a part of the local scene.. Marrakech what an amazing, exotic place. We were helped to arrange a walking tour of the city, find great places to eat and a fabulous day trip to the Atlas Mountains area where we hiked to waterfalls, rode camels and ate lunch with locals. I heartily recommend visiting Marrakech and most certainly staying at the Riad Argan.

The manager and the rest of the staff were very pleasant and helpful, the room and common areas were beautifully decorated and comfortable, and the daily breakfast was delicious. The Riad is well located near the souk and the main square, and a quick walk to the parking lot where you can find a taxi. I would highly recommend it.

What an amazing experience! The Riad was beautiful and in a great location. Although it's definitely a maze it's really easy to find the main palaces and the big square which made navigating much simpler than I thought it would be. The staff is wonderful, big thanks to Soufiane who was a very helpful host. Breakfast was lovely and overall it was a very peaceful, secure setting.

We loved our stay in the Riad! Soufiane was so hospitable and the staff was a delight to work with. The mint tea on arrival was delicious. The location is perfectly located between Bahia Palace and Jemaa El-Fna. The room was sparkling clean and the breakfast was delicious! Soufiane printed our boarding passes and handled transportation to and from the Riad. Highly recommend!

We can highly recommend this beautiful Riad. We were a group of 6 with a 1 year old and the staff coud not have done more for us. Amazing attention to detail and nothing too much trouble. This really made our stay in Marrakech and we will most definately come back here. Be sure to have the tangier lamb slow cooked for 7 hours in the Riad it is to die for.

My review is based from the perspective of a 28 year old male that has lived in New York City for his entire life. This Riad is located in a inner street, still very close to the Medina and action. Upon entry I was greeted by a young lady that immediately got me the keys to my room. Prior to arrival the owner Sufian emailed me to verify my arrival time. When I entered my room i was amazed at how clean it was, ranging from the floors to bathroom and beds. Also the AC worked very well. After getting settled in Sufian introduced himself to me. He provided his WhatsApp contact info if i needed him at anytime which i loved. Sufian than provided a map to me of places within walking distance that I should visit. I asked about our included breakfast the following day. Sufian indicated that there was no specific time and it would be ready when I am. The following day, I woke up and was expecting a mass produced continental breakfast as we are use to in the United States. I was so wrong, all of my breakfast items were cooked to order when i was ready to eat. You can tell that everything was fresh and made with love. This breakfast was a filling one. A safe cab ride was arranged back to the airport by the owner. I cannot thank Riad Argan enjoy for making my stay a pleasant one and also exposing me to the warm hospitality of the Moroccan people.

This was a great Riad in old Marrakesh. The staff was super friendly and was willing to help in any way possible. It was like staying in a private home. The location was in the middle of all the activity yet tucked away far enough where it was very quiet. The only negative thing I could say was the bed was very hard...but I guess that's on par for a riad. It would be nice if they placed a foam mat on the top of the bed.

This property was beautiful and what made it incredible was the staff. Soufiane and the other folks who worked here were so kind and hospitable. Highly recommmend this place - perfect location in the Medina that is also somehow incredibly soundproof from the hustle and bustle of the souks. Breakfast is simple and lovely, and there is a wonderful terrasse!

Everything was fantastic. The only minor complaint was when we ask what the price for the laundry they wouldn’t tell us the price, but said it was not expensive ... it was about $22 for both of us. It was done well and neatly folded so thank you! But just more then we were expecting. They were very kind and even printed our boarding passes (as Ryanair charges 15€ for each boarding pass if not printed) Everything else was perfect and couldn’t ask for more.

Great service and very nice host and staff. Very central location that is within a 10 minute walk of most of the tourist attractions in Marrakech. Only negatives were the wifi and cell phone sigbal from within our room was on and off because the walls are very thick, as well as the bed was not the most comfortable. Besides that, everything else was perfect!

The rooms were fantastic--beauifully decorated with painted cedar ceilings and high-quality bedding. Terrific bathroom. It was difficult to find as one has to go through a dark tunnel to find it. I'm usually a good navigator but found a kid to help me locate it since I did not have a sim card for my phone and couldn't call as the manager suggested I do. However tthe location is very close to the square and yet far enough away to be quiet. As it is riad-style, any noise in the courtyard travels and there was a group there when I stayed so they were in courtyard together socializing a lot which was sort of annoying at times. Oddly, there are no locks on the doors. One can't get in without a key to the riad, but after that, the room can only be locked from inside (not when one is away).

Ideally located if you want to experience the Medina and its surroundings. Everything is literally a 10 min walk from Riad Argan. It doesn't feel like a hotel and the staff were helpful and accommodating. Beds comfortable and general facilities were clean and well maintained. Rooms were excellent, staff super friendly & we were shown around the area and given all instructions about how to get around. Any trips, spas, meals etc were booked and overall they could not have gone out of their way to make us feel more at home and comfortable. We did eat in the Riad one night and it was the best meal of the trip - highly recommended!

From the moment that we booked, Francoise and Bernard went out of their way to make us feel welcomed. They arranged for a pickup from the airport and a fantastic meal for our first night. The gave a thorough orientation to the city and a pocket map with lots of tips of what to see and where to go. They walked with us to the market for the first day. They have that wonderful balance between being attentive yet not overbearing. We felt very safe and welcomed in this beautiful Riad which is very centrally located, but also quiet. I have travelled extensively and very rarely met such wonderful hosts. I cannot recommend this Riad and its charming staff highly enough!

Had a wonderful time in Marrakech at Riad Argan. Francois, the owner, really took good care of us, showed us around and helped us arrange things we needed. Would highly recommended staying here if you want to be near to the square and the market.

Fantastic small guest house. Great location just off the busy shopping streets. Very quiet at night. There were no locks on the outside of the guest rooms but because the house was small and secure we did not think this was a problem, room safe was provided for valuables. Françoise and Bernard were amazing hosts, and went out of their way to accommodate my needs. The Riad is in a quiet corner just steps from a main artery in the Medina. It's a great place to stay if you would like to be able to walk everywhere. I was greeted with a lovely meal and a glass of red wine, due to my late arrival. Françoise organized airport transport, so I didn't have to worry about one thing during my short trip. My room was comfortable, stylish, and clean. I would definitely recommend staying here!

Very nice stay at this very comfortable Riad in the heart of the Médina. What was particularly special and very helpful was the personal experience given by Françoise and her team. After booking we had an email from Francoise asking if we wanted picking up from the airport, we booked transfer with BA, so wasnt needed but nice touch. Instead she met us at the parking area near the Riad and walked us to the location. On arrival we had mint tea and she gave us a map and then walked us to the main square which was only a 10 minute walk away. This personal service made us very happy and set us up for our 3 days in Marrakech, which is a very stressful place to go. The rooms were very well decorated in morrocan style, breakfast was adequate and served at what ever time we wanted. Free WiFi, safe, water and toiletries. The location is down a small back alley, which appears to be very safe despite its look. Overall a great stay and would highly recommend. Thanks to Françoise and her team.

Our host was very accommodating in all respects. On the first night, we had arrived from Casablanca with food poisoning and wanted to have something light and clean. Our host made us some flavoursome vegetable soup and fresh bread...which she did free of charge. The riad is situated conveniently in the medina, within walking distance of many sites. Take advantage of the transfer offers provided by the riad so you don't have to deal with the taxi drivers. It is a nice riad, freshly renovated with a lovely terrace. We were also allowed to have a delicious breakfast at anytime. On the last of our 5 night stay, we had breakfast at 6.30am and it wasn't a problem. Highly recommended.

Our hostess was amazing. Her staff was incredible. Most definitely the highlight of our visit to Marrakech was knowing we had this amazing place to retire to at the end of a busy day, or anytime during the day to just rest, retreat from the sun and heat, or get away from the constant madness that is the main square. The Riad Argan is only a short 2 minute walk to the square, but seems a million miles away when you're back at the riad resting and getting away from the business of the Souq. It's doubtful we will ever return to Marrakech, but if we do, we will only go if we can stay here. The rooms are a good size, with a private bathroom for each. Breakfast was excellent every morning, and the main room on the ground level is wonderfully decorated, and another great location to sit and relax. If you are going to be staying in Marrakech, near the square, don't miss the chance to stay here.

What a wonderful riad. The owners are friendly, very welcoming and very knowledgeable. Would really recommend you stay here, and take up their offer of a taxi from the airport with a guide to take you straight to the riad. Wonderful food - breakfast a delight and the evening meal we had there was very tasty. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, and the room was very clean and well equipped. To get the best and full experience of Marrakech, you can do no better than to spend time at the riad Argan. We will return, and are recommending our son to stay here when he visits Morocco in June.

This riad is perfect getaway yet being in the center of everything. Our host Francois was amazing. Greeted with mint tea and told us where and what we need to see. Also helped is booking desert tour and hammam massage. We had a great time in marrakesh. I would definitely recommend this hotel . Francois offered us a ride from train station to the riad which we didn't take. I would suggest have someone from riad pick you up since its a little difficult to find the first time. And when people see you are lost they will ask money to give you directions.

We stayed 3 nights at this boutique riad in November, 2014 and this was one of the best experiences of our 3-week trip in Spain and Morocco. The 7 room riad has an intimate feel and was beautifully designed and built in traditional style by the wonderful owner-manager Franco-Moroccan couple Francoise and Bernard. They have decades of international experience in the hospitality industry and it shows in the detailed attention to service - you really feel personalized service. Definitely recommend the airport pickup/dropoff service offered through the Riad as the location can be hard to find. The staff are delightful and attentive. Mahasin is an amazing cook - be sure to have at least one meal at the riad to appreciate this! She showed us the proper way to make mint tea. We were given an orientation walk to the nearby main square Djemma Al-Fna (5 min walk) and orientation to a massage appointment and to local shops to find a souvenir coffee pot. Rooms are very well appointed and you will not be wanting for comfort! Wonderful breakfasts on the rooftop terrace. Contrast between this tranquil, comfortable riad and the surrounding chaotic old city is amazing. Happy to recommend this marvellous Riad in old Marrakech!

The hotel is situated in the heart of the medina, a few winding alleys from the busiest and most spectacular street. We arrived late and were met from our taxi by sofienne (this is probably spelt terribly.. Apologies). He showed us the way to the Riad and up to the roof terrace where a gorgeous and simple 3 course meal awaited.. Yum! The next morning the lovely French couple, Francois and Bernard, who run the Riad met us. Francois took us on a guided trip around the Medina which was very comforting as it's pretty mental! She recommended restaurants and gave us tips about what to do and what not to worry about.. Exactly what was needed! The Riad is superb.. Beautifly decorated and so secluded. Only 5 rooms meant that one day we had the whole place to ourselves! Stunning roof terrace where breakfast is served (delicious!) and lots of relaxed sunbathing and chilling to be done. The pool on the ground floor was totally serene. Sofienne and the girls who work at the Riad were so wonderful and made constant delicious snacks! We really couldn't recommend it more and will be coming back.. We have already convinced my parents to book this year!! Thank you xxx

The sole reason why I say that this has been the best place I have ever booked comes purely down to the Francoise and her amazing staff that really go that extra mile to make sure you have the best stay in Marrakech. After organising for a taxi to pick us up, she personally greeted us at the drop off point and walked us to our hotel. She sat and drank mint tea with us while explaining what there was to do in the city and where everything was (a must because it is absolute nightmare to navigate!). She then showed us to our vary spacious room that really had an Arabian feel. It was fantastic! After us freshening up, she then walked us to the main square, making sure to point out certain landmarks that would guide us back home. She also gave some suggestions to some great places to eat at very cheap prices. Furthermore, she queued up outside the bus stop to make sure we got tickets to Essaouria early in the morning (it took an hr to pick them up), while we just relaxed in the hotel. A special shout out to Sufjan who was the most polite and caring waiter I have ever met! He was so friendly and made sure our very generous breakfasts were enjoyed on the rooftop terrace. He even came and delivered mint tea to us to our room every night just in case we felt like something to drink - all complimentary). This is a truly great riad and you would be hard to find another Riad of equal comfort and SERVICE in the area.

Francoise and her team are just so helpful and kind. Marrakesh takes a little bit of orientating so her arranging taxis straight from the airport is a brilliant service. She's a fountain of knowledge and kindness. Food is superb - lovely authentic Morrocan breakfasts on the roof terrace are a fab start to the day. Do arrange an evening meal at the Riad, our beef and prune tagine was easily the best if our whole trip. Riad location is brilliant - less than 5 mins to the main square. The rooms are lovely - spotless and serene. Riad Argan is the oasis and base you need to counteract the wonderful frenzy of Marrakesh. Francoise, her husband Bernard, and the Riad team are some of the warmest people we have ever met. Enjoy!

Even before getting to the Riad the service we recieved was exceptional, we were contacted by mail within minutes of booking, offering a taxi from the airport and thanking us for booking. We were met & welcomed from the taxi by Francois, who led us back to the Riad and over a complimentary mint tea (amazing) talked us through the must-see's and marked everything on a map for us. We were then given a guided tour through the streets into the main square, with great advice on restaurants, sights and tipping. The Riad itself is amazing. You can not envisage what awaits you from the outside, but the second you go through the huge wooden doors, its simply breath taking. Its immaculately maintained, absolutely spotless and everything you could want for a couples retreat in a traditional Riad. Breakfast is by far the best I've ever had, and eating in the morning sun on the roof terrace is a must. If you decide to have an evening meal, you wont be disappointed, simple, fresh, traditional and comes with a beer/wine. The service from the staff is also exceptional, polite, curteous and they cant do enough for you. In the chaotic craziness that Marrakesh could be for a first timer, Francoise the owner of this Riad was the perfect guide and created a sense of calm and relaxation. Her Riad felt like a home away from home. There was always someone at hand to help or provide guidance. I woudln't have had such a great vacation without her. The Riad is within perfect walking distance of all the main attractions. It is tucked away in a quiet area, and at first seems hard to find, but Francoise walked us around after we checked in to ensure we knew hwo to easily find her place. She also had someone pick us up and meet us from the airport to ensure we found our way. The Riad is a beautiful newly renovated space with five rooms. She has a wonderful Terrace with lounges to enjoy the sunshine, or seats to enjoy breakfast in the morning. The breakfast is freshly made for when you get up, and was delicious each morning. I don't think I would have had such a good time without Francoise.

The whole experience was lovely. I got a lovely welcome, and Francoise took me for a quick walk to the square - which I never would have found on my own! This place is so beautiful, the pictures don't do it justice! I felt very secure with this riad, and the service was excellent from all staff.. I had a wonderful stay thanks!!

A wonderful stay made special by the hospitality of host Francoise and her staff. The breakfast on the terrace was also very nice with traditional Moroccan pastries. The rooms open onto the central courtyard and as this is a small Riad it does result in some noise but a minor issue when compared with opportunity to experience life in the Medina.

The staff spoke excellent English and did all possible to be sure that we enjoyed our stay in Marrakesh. We were a bit apprehensive about finding our way in the Medina and how to "bargain" . Our hosts walked us into the Medina, pointing out landmarks for our return, and gave us tips on bargaining and restaurants. This was a great start for us to experience this wonderful culture. Our room was clean, classy and very Moroccan. The traditional breakfast was served on the roof top patio and the evening wine was accompanied with a dish of olives. All very enjoyable.

Its all been said before, this is a great RIad with the friendliest owners and staff. We had a great 4 night honeymoon and everything was spot on. Can't rate it highly enough.

Excellent experience...easily the best place we've ever stayed. Francoise, Bernard and their staff have created an incredible little bubble of tranquility and luxury in the centre of Marrakech. The rooms and communal spaces are absolutely beautiful, with a plunge pool perfect for hot afternoons and a terrace on the roof that is excellent for breakfast or a few quiet evening drinks. We had a Moroccan breakfast every morning, with fresh orange juice, coffee, pancakes, yoghurt, jams, cake and bread. We also had a three course meal one night (which we highly recommend to everyone staying) cooked by one of the girls. Would definitely return.

Riad Argan is wonderful. Perfectly located, the staff is wonderful, the rooms are great, and the feel of the place is wonderful. It's very close to the Djemma el-fna, so you'll probably want to schedule the airport transfer so you can actually find the place. Marrakech, at least the medina, is a bit overwhelming to the first time visitor. But, the Hotel owner will meet you where the taxi drops you and guide you to the riad. If you are looking to be close to the old town/medina section of Marrakech, this is a wonderful home base.

Very enjoyable. Francoise and her staff do everything possible to make the stay the best which even includes giving sound advice about buying goods in the souks. The food is plentiful and delicious. Riad Argan is an oasis in a city of humdrum.

My girlfriend and I stayed at Riad Argan on a long weekend trip to Marrakech in early April, 2012, and I can easily say it was the best place I've ever stayed at. The hosts Bernard and Francoise along with staff member Sala were incredibly friendly and helpful, arranging our transfers and also helping us to book tours and giving us tips for haggling. The other staff members (the girls) made our room look immaculate each day that we went out. And the rooms are amazing and traditional as you can see in photos. The staff offered us mint tea each day (which we chose to have on the roof terrace under the stars) and Sala prepared an amazing Moroccan breakfast for us each morning, with juice, mint tea, fresh yogurt and different types of Moroccan breads, muffins and jams. We also chose to pay the 20 Euro each for the dinner at the riad, and it was one of the best decisions we made on our holiday. After we expected it to consist of a main meal and perhaps a starter, Sala prepared an amazing FIVE course meal consisting entirely of traditional Moroccan cuisine which was better and cheaper than anything we could find in the restaurants in the city. The location is also perfect, with the riad being nestled discretely in a side alley in the medina five minutes walk from the famous main square Djemaa el Fna. If you're planning a trip to Marrakech and want the real Moroccan experience, you must stay at Riad Argan - and you MUST try the riad dinner one night.
