I booked a 3 night stay for 3 of us and arranged with the Riad to pick us up from the airport. Nobody was there to meet us and when I managed to speak to the manager he admitted he had made a mistake and booked us in for the following night and did not have a room for us. We got a taxi from the airport and he met us and put us up in someone’s house for the night. He fetched us the next morning for breakfast and offered us 2 rooms instead of 1 and a free dinner but we couldn’t get in the rooms till after 12 so we felt we had missed out on a third of our trip. Not great ! He also booked the wrong time for my daughter’s taxi to go to the airport. On the plus side the rooms were clean and comfortable and the riad is attractive

The place was over booked so we couldn’t stay even though hotels.com confirmed the booking in writing (that was after hotels.com had confirmed another booking and promptly took our money when the place then cancelled as it was being renovated). After several emails, Hotels.com eventually negotiated with the first hotel to refund our money. Needless to say it was very stressful for us but the wonderful Riad manager literally saved us which is why he gets 5 stars. His customer service is the best we’ve had in Morocco and more than equal to anything we’ve had worldwide.

The riad was very quaint and cozy. When we walked in we were immediately greeted with biscuits and tea. There was an issue with Expedia and our host choiqui couldn’t see the second room booked via Expedia but he was able to quickly find a solution with another riad for my group to stay for the night. He was very helpful and walked to through the streets for an ATM and gave us brief directions to get to el Jmaan Fna. He even found a bottle of wine for us to enjoy after we got back. Great host! Thanks for the expierence.

Fantastic friendly hosts. Nothing was too much trouble. Mint tea on arrival, excellent advice regarding booking excursions and prices. Highly recommend I would visit again. The hotel is 20 min walk to the square but feels less so with the souks starting 10 mins away.

This was the third Riad on our Trip through Marocco. The Riad and the room itself were OK, the bed was comfortable. The higher roof terasse has a great view to the Atlas mountains! Breakfast was good. It is located in a small road in the quiet northern part of the Medina. You can easily reach all important poits like Souks, Djemaa el Fna by foot. The best of the Riad was the friendly and helpful Manager that made our stay really good.

Had a great stay for 4 nights at this Riad. Booking here means that Chaouqi and his wonderful staff will take care of everything else for your stay in Marrakech. From taxi transfer to and from airport, map for medina and detailed directions for walking about, to money exchange, restaurants, city tours, day trips, hammams - they will help you with everything and we felt very safe. The staff even walked us to and from restaurants and to the souks so that we didnt get lost! The riad is lovely and quiet - we woke up to birds every morning. excellent and large breakfast. The pool was beautiful and clean and very refreshing after a day out in the heat.

Brilliant staff, went out their way to ensure we felt at ease and ensured we didn't get lost in the streets. Gave excellent advice on which restaurants to eat in. We had the whole riad to ourselves which was nice. The plunge pool was fantastic for the children to jump into after wandering around in the heat.

This is a great riad in the chaos of the city. The staff will do anything for you, you just need to ask. They will also give you advice on what to do and where to go. If you have a phone with maps I would recommend you mark the location of the hotel as it is down a small street which can be hard to find (though the staff give you their number and will come and collect you on a moped if you get lost!)

Decent Riad, Marrakech. Interesting location, inside the Medina, not direct i Soukh area, but close to, rather in local nabourhood setting. Friendly and helpful staff. Quite cold inside the Riad in december/ january, though heater-aircon in room.

When we arrived, the manager kindly took over 30 minutes with us to explain how to get around the city and where to go. The staff was very helpful and kind. We booked all our excursions with them, because they always had lower prices than all the travel agencies we found in the city.

We boekten 14 nachten. Is per twee nachten Euro 80,00. Toeristenbelasting 3% en 3,3 % per nacht per twee personen. Uiteindelijk moesten we Euro 176,00 betalen. Onze protesten haalden niets uit.

It was great. The Riad was a calm oasis, yet close to the main Souks of Marrakech. Everyone at the hotel was very friendly and helpful. We loved the pool and the roof terrace. And being in the medina, it means you can do all your exploring on foot.

If you are a service oriented traveler, then this is a great place to stay in Marrakech. Chouki and his staff were wonderful and provided 5 star service. They were great with my kids and extra helpful in arranging trips and recommending places to see. Chouki even offered to lead us to Casablanca just to ensure we made it. The Riad is comfortable but you will find that your GPS won't have the address and parking in the old town is limited. That said, just let Chouki know and he will pick you up at the airport. We had a great time and I would definitely stay here again!

I really enjoyed my three night stay here. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Location is great, just a short walk from the markets and other attractions, and far enough to to give you peace and quiet when you need it. Breakfast is great. Riad experience is really fun. Overall one of my more enjoyable hotel stays in a long time.

If you want an OK room, ok food, for that price, it´s ok. If you like service, that kind of stuff:))) stay away from this place. You have a feeling that they do NOT like customers. This was a prepaid hotel. They refused to accept that the room was paid for, even when I showed them the papers from hotels.com. They just looked at me, and said that they have charged my card anyway..:) And I´m not acutally a difficult customer, and even I was kind of shocked from their way of dealing with customers. I called hotels.com. They tried to fix it, but met the same kind of attitude as I was met with. Hotels.com did their best, but I kind of hope they would just take that hotel out of their web-site. Nobody deserves to be treated like that:) The rooms were ok though, the sofa in the lounge as well:))

I was very pleased with this Riad that I was telling every fellow traveler we've been meeting on the streets of Marrakech about it. The riad is located in a quiet area of Bab Doukala. I was really surprised at how quiet the place is. It's like complete zen inside. We've stayed in a riad in the same area before and have been woken up by howling noise, this part of Bab Doukala was so quiet!!! Rafa and Sioke (sorry if the names were mis spelt) were the most amazing hotel/riad staff I've ever met. Very friendly and very accommodating. We were up very late the night before and they were alright for us to have our breakfast at 3:30pm the next day! I would definitely stay at Plein Sud again whenever I go back to Marrakech.
