Great welcome and service. Rooms very well furnished. Traditional style. Breakfast good quality and amounts. Location about 5 mins from start of the souk. Cashpoints local. Pick-up for trips 5 mins walk. Inside the Medina and the full experience of local life. Quiet at night in the riad. Felt safe. Local restaurants.

Really beautifully presented breakfast on the roof terrace. Very friendly and kind staff, Renaud and team looked after us so well and made us feel very welcome throughout our stay. From a detailed warm welcome complete with map of all the things to check out in Marrakech, to the daily friendly greeting when entering Riad, to the beautiful refreshing pool and candle lit evenings, to the complimentary mint tea, biscuits, water and more. Room was wonderful and we absolutely loved it.

Travelled here solo. Requested airport transfer via the riad, which has been very prompt both ways. Once arrived, I have been welcomed warmly with tea, and a scribbled map of directions, restaurants and bars of Marrakech, for an easy introduction to the city. The staff have been welcoming from start to finish, always prompt to help with any request, at any time. The breakfast served each day was rich and offered a lot of varieties. The cleanliness of the bedroom was up to standards, I am usually very fussy about this but the room was impeccable and maintained throughout the stay. The riad is accessible by car and not far off, there is an intersection where you can easily grab a taxi if needed. As a solo female traveller, the area did feel generally safe, of which I went around at different times of day and night. It does have a feel of a more local feel rather than a touristic one of the city and it is easily walkable to many attractions, which was my preference. Fyi for other women, outside the riad, there is of what seems a motorbike type of garage and there are always local men around, some of which may look / start conversations, however once ignored / refused, they have not insisted. For nights out, I did have taxi ride organised by riad with pick up and drop off right in front, which was what gave me a peace of mind and comfort. Overall, it was an amazing stay and I will definitely recommend this accommodation to all types of travellers.

I had a fantastic stay at Riad La Terrasse des Oliviers. It was my first time in Marrakech. Located along the main road and within walking distance of the major sites, I highly recommend the location to anyone traveling through Morocco.

Renaud took the time when we arrived to sit down with a map and run through where to visit, where to eat, have a drink and explore which was so helpful for our short visit. Beds very comfy and everyone was so friendly. A short walk into the soul or out to a gate to the new city too, and they can arrange transport which gets you to the door. Highly recommend and great value

The decor is beautiful, the room was really comfortable, and the staff were really friendly and helpful. Breakfast was also tasty, and the location is great because you're close to the busy part of the Medina but far enough out that it is calm and quiet – plus this location makes it easier to get to Jardin Majorelle and Gueliz. Would definitely stay here again.

We absolutely adored our experience at La Terrasse des Oliviers, and will definitely reserve here again on our next trip to Morocco. We received a very warm welcome from our host, along with wonderfully detailed explanations and recommendations for Marrakech. We ate at 4 of the 5 recommended restaurants, and all were lovely. The entire staff was very available and warm, always ready with a smile and an offer of tea. Our only regret was not taking advantage of the opportunity to order a tailored breakfast (we would get back too late), but the one provided was very generous. Thank you to the entire team at La terrasse des Oliviers.

Amazing Stay. Felt like home away from home . Renaud and his team were fantastic right from the initial check in where Renaud took time to explain the area, how to navigate the Medina together with excellent tips on where to eat and drink, what to see and do. There was no request which they couldn’t fulfil nor any fixed time to have breakfast or a cup of mint tea or to the endless request for bottles of water. The entire team made our stay as comfortable as possible. Would highly recommend this riad to anyone looking for fantastic value and a traditional experience in the heart of Medina. A gem of a riad. We stayed at La Terrasse Des Oliviers last week and it was a wonderful experience! Renaud and his whole team are very friendly, helpful, and professional. When we got to the Riad, Renaud sat down with us for nearly an hour to explain the city layout using a map. This was incredibly helpful especially when navigating the souk area. Renaud also gave us some fabulous recommendations for restaurants and invaluable local knowledge. If we came back to Marrakech, we would definitely stay here again. We had the most incredible stay here for 5 days. The staff were so kind and incredibly helpful - some of the best service and hospitality I’ve experienced. We were given fresh Moroccan tea whenever we wanted as well as lord of tips and recommendations for exploring Marrakech. The riad itself is stunning. It has detailed Moroccan traditional architecture and furnishings. Breakfast is flexibly served in the main hall of the riad. The breakfast was an amazing, fresh spread. Our room was so beautiful and had everything we needed - a coffee machine, water, comfy bed. The riad really did think of everything. Can’t recommend this place enough!

We cannot fault our stay at this beautiful Riad. Renaud and the staff were exceptional and so friendly and attentive. Renaud sat down with us to explain the best way to get around the medina and recommend many places to see and eat at. We went to 5 of his recommended restaurants and they did not disappoint. The riad was super safe and a sanctuary of peace nestled within the bustling city. My wife and I stayed in this beautiful Riad for a few nights during our trip to Marrakech, and it exceeded all expectations! Located in the northern part of the bustling medina, it’s the perfect base for exploring the Medina with its souks, the new city, and attractions like Jardin Majorelle. The owner, Renaud, is warm, attentive, and wonderfully humorous, while the staff—especially Youssef and Ibrahim—went above and beyond to pamper us. The rooftop terrace is a dream; we enjoyed relaxing with mint tea after busy days and had a romantic, delicious dinner there on our first evening. Breakfasts were fantastic, and the ambiance is both peaceful and charming. We can’t recommend this place enough and will definitely stay here again on our next visit to Marrakech! It’s a percect oasis in Marrakech!

What a great little hotel! Renaud, the owner/manager was amazing from first contact and helped us immensely both before arriving as well as while we were there. The staff are all incredible and will look after you to the best of their ability, always smiling and helpful. The hotel has a quirky vibe and is located at the edgy-but-safe side of the Medina on the busy Bab Doukkalla neighbourhood. Inside the hotel it is mostly peaceful and quiet however you are in Marrakesh and will hear various calls to prayer from the neighbouring mosques. There is a plunging pool but we were so busy doing other things we didn't use it. The breakfast is delicious and plentiful. Bottled water, Moroccan mint tea and coffee pods available on demand. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was "Moroccan-shabby-chic" for lack of better description. I loved it, particularly the shower. There is A/C and a fridge in the room but they can be a little bit noisy during the night so we decided not to use them. There is a lovely rooftop area open to all guests where we had a few breakfasts and evening mint-teas. In fact the whole building is rather lovely, beautifully decorated, a true hidden gem.

Renaud and his team were wonderful, thoughtful and always helpful. The room, the ambience, the food and the whole Riad made our stay feel like home. Such a warm and wonderful experience.
Cons: Very little, if there was one thing then perhaps the location in relation to the main square Jemaa el-Fnaa, it is a good 25-30 min walk away and in 30C+ heat it can be challenging for aching feet. However, we found so many lovely little ships, eateries, souks and more along the way.

Amazing people - everyone from the owner to all staff we met were warm, welcoming, accommodating and made us feel at home. They made us feel very safe and walked us through why can be done and seen in town and what to look out for. The food is fantastic, so we recommend reserving dinners there. The terrace is magical. A unique experience in the heart of the city.

The staff and their services are exceptional! Very accomodating and responds efficiently to reasonable requests. Special thanks to Yusuf and Renaud, who were very helpful and friendly. Walking distance to the main attractions in the city. Facilities were clean and satisfactory. We had dinner on the evening we arrived. It was a 3-course meal with very generous portions and extremely delicious! We loved everything, especially the beef tagine! 100% would recommend to book here if you're staying in Marrakech.

beautiful riad. Reynaud the owner gave a thorough introduction to the area and this helped us a lot. Beautiful refreshing little pool area. staff immensely warm and welcoming and it was never a problem when we asked for anything. good breakfast and nice roof terrace. Authentic Moroccan place with air con. we loved staying here and being made to feel so safe and welcome.
Cons: it was fabulous. just be careful with google maps as doesn’t always line up with the maze of streets. just turn at the bright green inix phone shop sign and it is literally two doors down.

The Riad is stunning. Everywhere we looked, we would find something new and beautiful to look at and admire. We loved the plunge pool after the heat of the streets and adored the roof terrance. Renaud and the team cannot do enough for you, they are all kind and welcoming and helpful and we felt at home there. It feels personal but private also at the same time. We had dinner in there one of the nights and it was stunning. It’s located minutes from the souks, walking distance to Jardine Majorelle, Medressa Ben Youseff and Jemaa el-Fnaa square. It’s also just off a street with car access which is great if you’re going to the airport during the night. It’s also so incredible peaceful, it’s amazing to step inside after walking around the streets of Medina, with its loudness, chaos and energy, to just rest - you cannot hear a sound inside the Riad even though it’s right in the middle of it all. I really can’t say enough lovely things about this place. We will be back!

This place exceeded my expectations. It was a sanctuary I needed after a very busy workshop. The location, the vibes, the staff, every little things in the room and in the pool and surrounding area. It was very relaxing.
Cons: The only one thing I did not like is the shower drainage. The water is not draining fast enough, so while showering, the water stays on the floor, which is also a potential problem to slip.

Excellent Riad run by the most welcoming Renaud and his team. On arrival Renaud greeted us with tea, pastries and an invaluable map with local landmarks which helped us not get (too) lost in the souks and meant we could find all the main attractions easily on foot. Breakfast was lovely and more than ample and we enjoyed having it on the terrace every morning. Tea, coffee and water were available whenever we wanted and the whole team was very welcoming. The area felt safe and the Riad itself was a peaceful haven from the bustle of the medina. We couldn't have asked for more.
Cons: Couldn't fault it!

Renaud welcomed us with tea, biscuits/cookies , went over the Riad rooms locations, guidelines and tip while touring Marrakech and the map in details. He and his staff were very helpful, cordial, available and accommodating. The Riad is beautiful, each room had its own attached bath/toilet, hot water. The arrangement for key drop and pickup was awesome. The AC was fully functional - but the best of all is the service that stands because of Renaud's personal investment in time with his customers. I would consider staying here during my next visit to Marrakech

It felt comfortable and safe. Everything that I needed was there (good WiFi, perfectly running hot and cold water and aircon). The room was rather big and decorated in a traditional way.
Cons: I didn‘t like the surrounding area very much and it was a rather long walk to the main square through the small streets and souks full of tourists and motorbikes. It stressed me a little and in the end I always took a taxi to get there. Unfortunately no outside visitors were allowed, apparently that is generally ordered by the administration. To be honest all in all I expected more for the price.

We absolutely loved our stay here- it felt like paradise! We kept saying that it felt as if we were staying in a minature palace it was so beautiful! So much attention to detail in the decor and it felt authentically morrocan. We felt calm as soon as we stepped inside, there is just the loveliest relaxing atmosphere and the staff are so kind, helpful and welcoming. We stayed in the junior suite (room 5) with our son (aged 7) and it was super comfortable and had everything we could need. The breakfasts were fabulous and we ate twice at the riad in the evening and both meals were incredible. We highly recommend this beautiful place to stay and we would most definitely return.

We highly recommend this Riad. Renauld was fantastic and patiently answered all our many questions before we even arrived. The suite on the terrace at the top of the building was beautiful, comfortable and perfect for traveling with a teenager as the bathroom was between living room and bedroom allowing complete privacy as both rooms could be closed. The terrace is beautiful. The staff Ibrahim, Yusuf and the two ladies working here are so friendly and kind and always smiling and helpful. Free morrocan mint tea and biscuits and water were much appreciated. The breakfast was fantastic and beautifully presented and we could have it anytime between 8 and 12. We booked a private driver and car last minute to go to Ourika valley for 80€ through them which was cheaper than anywhere online and great excursion. Will definitely stay here again if in Marrakech. Thanks to Renauld and all the team!

Great location. Very busy but also more local families around, rather than street toughs on motorcycles that you encounter in other parts of the Medina (in my limited personal experience). Felt safer. Room and bathroom were clean and comfortable. Staff were fantastic. Breakfast was excellent including presentation. Ibrahim was super kind and helpful. Arranged to have some laundry done for us overnight - a lifesaver. He helped us source some excellent quality saffron from a local store instead of buying from touristy shops in the Souk. All in all, I will happily stay here if I'm ever in RAK again.

We were made to feel like truly welcome guests at this riad, whose staff went above and beyond at every turn, including before arriving and after checking out - and not just with us, but with everyone staying there. Breakfasts were fresh, generous and provided wherever we wanted to take it. Requests were always quickly, helpfully and efficiently handled. Our spacious room (no. 2) was kept clean throughout our week-long stay. The free tea/coffee + cookies and bottled water (any time day or night, on demand!) were much appreciated, and we made good use of the in-room facilities in this regard, too. Nice pillows and bedding. Nice large bathroom as well. The terrace is a lovely place to relax. The air conditioning was much needed (and worked well) during our winter stay. And there were zero issues with us being a gay couple.
Cons: Very few downsides. The most obvious one was that the age of the building meant our room felt quite damp most of the time - you could feel it in the bedding and in your clothes. Our room opening directly onto the courtyard also meant some unwanted noise at times, but not often - and in general the riad is wonderfully quiet considering it is only a few steps from a busy road leading into and out of the medina. The water in the shower took a while to warm up each time we used it, and as cool as the shower recess is in terms of its traditional design, it's impractical in terms of the amount of water that sprays everywhere. The lack of powerpoints, especially by the bed, meant having to sacrifice some lamps and rearrange furniture for e.g. convenient recharging of devices at night.

This stay was perfect in any respect. The property is a traditional very charming Moroccan Riad, perfectly located in the medina quite close to the walls, so that is far enough from the busier parts to provide a quiet respite after a busy day, and to be within walking distance to the new city as well. The owner, Renoud, is a Swiss transplanted to Morocco, and he will go out of his way to make you feel at home at his place. He literally spends over an hour with you at your arrival to give you recommendations and insider tips which proved to be invaluable. Each morning breakfast is served at the time of your choosing in any location of the Riad you prefer, so you can stay on the balcony in the first floor, downstairs by the pool, or in your own room. Mint tea with cookies and water are free, and will be provided to you any time you ask. And last but not least, If you stay a week they will offer you a free home cooked local dinner which proved to be one of the best of our entire trip. Thanks Renaud and all the staff, we really hope to be back !

The whole experience of being in a well-run, beautifully decorated riad with incredibly friendly and helpful staff (thanks again Renaud and team). So many nice little touches such as complimentary mint tea and biscuits on the terrace on arrival and the option to have breakfast wherever you want! Renaud took time to orientate us on arrival with a map he illustrated and this helped enormously. The roof terrace is lovely. Superb spread for breakfast. Really safe and tranquil - in the Medina but near the edge - so easy to get out if you need a bit more space and only 15 mins walk from the Majorelle gardens.

I absolutely love this place and to make it even more special the people are unbelievable lovely . Me and my friend where two women travelling and couldn’t of felt safer . These people are diamonds with a heart of gold . The rooms are beautiful, you feel like a Arabian princess . The food is delicious, very much recommend too . The garden upstairs to have your breakfast is like your in a tranquil dream , birds , flowers and beautiful gardens decor . It was my 30th birthday when I was staying and I couldn’t believe my eyes when I opened my door to the court yard decorated with balloons , cake and banners . It really was the most thoughtless thing that made my day so special and remarkable.

wonderful experience. We landed in Marrakech from USA and it felt very comfortable spending 2 nights at the Riad. The Riad is beautifully decorated and every room has a fine touch. The people are the best. The owner Renault is always at the Riad ensuring things run smoothly and the guests are well taken care. He gave us the map of the city and some great tips on the best way to navigate, including suggestions to visit and food. We had the traditional Tagine dinner at the Riad and it was the best Tagine we had during our 8 day stay in Morocco. The breakfast was great and ready for us as we needed it early on both days. Thanks to Ibrahim and Yosuaf for taking such good care of us. Highly recommend a stay in this Riad.

Bed was large and comfortable. The Riad was beautifully decorated. Staff were very friendly. Welcome sweets, flowers and nuts / olives with in-house wine a nice touch.
Cons: Roof terrace lovely but unfortunately no sunset view. No sound proofing between rooms or central courtyard. Problems getting hot shower for 4 days as limited hot water capacity when Riad fully occupied. This was resolved during our last day so should be better for future guests but there was little compensation for our discomfort. Sometimes an apology and a smile is just not enough.

The host was super helpful and friendly. Only complement to the host himself. He offered us map and travel guide.
Cons: The room on the first floor is just not for living, we could not really breath because of bad air flow and small room size. Air conditioner doesn't work well and it is cold temperature after all. In front of room there are 20 candles that decrease the air quality and their bad smell is all over the room. Due to noise, had to wake up very early in the morning. Unfortunately bad experience and did not relax well. One staff was not professional. He didn't have any changes for cashes and expected the customers to have exactly the amount of cash to pay him. Otherwise has to go to street to change by ourselves.

If I come back to visit Marrakech I would definitely stay here again. Renaud greeted us when we first arrived and explained to us everything we needed to know about the city. He even laid out a map for us to explain all the key points that would be nice to visit. He really made me and my family feel at home as did the rest of the staff. Rashida was amazing and would always provide hot chocolate for my kids whenever they asked. Ibrahim was so kind as well. My wife asked him for a glass of juice but he had none in the fridge at the time, so my wife said it was okay no problem. However he went out of his way to go out and get some juice and poured my whole family glasses of juice. Both Ibrahim and Yusuf provided a delicious breakfast during the two days we stayed there. Finally, the Riad was beautiful and in a perfect location.

A wonderful stay in a beautiful riad. There are many options for riads in Marrakech, many of which look stunning but feel more like hotels. Riad La Terrasse Des Oliviers felt like a home away from home. We loved the traditional decor, the cosy feel and the relaxing atmosphere. You wouldn't know that the streets outside are buzzing! Great location, an easy 15 minute walk from most of the main areas. We were able to come and go as we pleased, dipping into the lovely little plunge pool with a fresh pot of mint tea, before heading out into the heat again. Breakfast was tasty, the meal we booked on the first night the best we had while in Marrakech! Thanks to owner Renaud for spending time helping us to understand the maze of streets that is the Medina - his guidance was greatly appreciated. Also thanks to Youssef and Brahim for taking care of us in the mornings/evenings and Rashida for keeping our room spotless and putting up with our requests for regular mint tea! We also had access to coffee in our room and big bottles of water on request, which were needed in the 42 degree heat in August! I would highly recommend this riad to anyone looking for fantastic value and a traditional experience in the heart of Marrakech. Magical. Francesca and Barry

We loved our time spent here. Renauld and his team looked after us so well and the Riad is clean and furnished to a high standard. Lovely decor with a luxury feel. Ideally located for the souks. Renauld gave us a great introduction to where everything was located and took the time to mark points of interest and give directions on a map. Breakfast on the terrace each morning was lovely, fresh fruit, a variety of breads, various spreads, cereals, yogurts and boiled eggs. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and they were all very friendly. Special mention to Brahim and Youssef, the night team, for putting up with us!

We immensely enjoyed our 2 day stay in the Riad La Terrasse Des Oliviers. From our swift check in with the host, to the beautiful decoration of the rooms, the quietness of the terrasse, the amazing breakfast we got served, all the recommendations, etc everything was 10/10. Location is a perfect 15 minutos the Jemaa el-Fna square but easy enough to get to the airport, etc. All the services provided were excellent and so is the value for money. Excellent!!

We had a really great time in this Riad! Renaud and his team are the best. We got very good tips from Renaud about excursions, places to visit in Marrakech, restaurants etc. The tajine we had in the riad was the best of Marrakech. The rooms are in Marrocan style and big, the roof terrace has different cosy places to chill/eat.

From the moment we arrived we were impressed with this place, so authentic just what if you want something other than a commercial hotel. Transported back into history with all the modern conveniences you'll need. Breakfast taken on the roof garden had great ambiance and was like a million miles away from the streets below. All staff were extremely helpful, my daughter and I also had a great meal on the rooftop. Renault was the star host, nothing was too much trouble for him, he'll know what you need before you do!
Cons: Apart from the motorbike fumes in the narrow passageways which can be an issue, otherwise I can't think of a thing, even finding your way around the back streets was fun, though our map finally disintegrated, so maybe pay for your data and use your phone instead (if your that worried)

Renaud and his team ( Yousef and all) go above and beyond to provide an exceptional stay. This was the most beautiful Riad. We were most delighted with room 5. Spacious and full of character. Breakfast en terrace (or room or lounge) is very good. The staff provide water or tea or coffee on request, which is a lovely provision others could do well to offer. This riad feels really safe (and has a good safe provision too). Thanks Renaud we'd love to come back sometime.
Cons: Occasional smell of smoke within riad, but that's it and perhaps that's a bit picky.

I recently had an amazing stay at this fantastic hotel in Marrakesh, Morocco. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted in a warm and welcome home, a hotel with style and excellent service. The staff were incredibly kind and attentive, and always made sure that we had plenty of water and Moroccan tea and cookies. The breakfast was superb, with a great selection of options. We were also pleasantly surprised to find a delightful Moroccan dinner option that was a real treat. The hotel was in a great location, and we were able to walk to all the main spots in the city. Our host was absolutely fantastic and had a wealth of knowledge about the city, giving us some brilliant advice and recommendations (incl. some day trips). We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Marrakesh. It was simply perfect, and we will definitely be back!

Our welcome was memorable and we were made to feel at home. In particular, the breakfasts were a delight, and the 3 Dinners we booked were delicious. The cook at this Riad is excellent, and the food was some of the best we ate during our visit. The staff were some of the most kind and helpful we have met. This Riad was well placed to be able to walk to The Square, and The Majorelle Gardens. On the walk to the Square you take a route which passes many of the souk and bazaar ‘shops’. We really enjoyed the walks around, and never felt the need to go in a taxi, even at night! There was no noise in the area to disturb our sleep.

Fantastic hosts who helped make our 5-night Marrakech stay exceptional! It's a beautiful riad with just the right amount of attention and care from staff. Terrific location: within the walls of the Medina with easy access to many important sites, and still a little separation from the hustle and bustle of the majority of the Medina action. The proximity to Riad Larouss, Bab Doukkala, and Bab Moussoufa makes for convenient access to taxis, shops, and food vendors (& motorbike repair!). And, once we stepped off busy Rue el Gza, the riad was an gorgeous, peaceful oasis of quiet and calm. In addition to the sleeping rooms, there are several different shared spaces throughout the riad, from the main courtyard to the second floor balcony to the rooftop. We wish we could have stayed longer. (Photos are from both the riad and the city.)

Lovely place to stay for our first night in the city. Upon arrival we were greeted with delicious mint tea and snacks. Ibrahim was friendly and helpful in helping us map out notable locations to visit. Our room was clean and was just what we needed. Location-wise, not too far (~10-15min) from the Médina. Since we had to be picked up early in the morning for our desert tour, check-out was quick and we were able to try some fresh oj!

Riad La Terrasse des Oliviers was a wonderful choice for our stay in Morocco! Renaud the owner was the most wonderful host! He made us feel so welcome upon arrival. He sat with us and gave us maps and showed us where we needed to go and see and highlighted the map we needed to get there. This was greatly appreciated! After we were shown our room we enjoyed Moroccan Mint Tea on the roof with lovely pastries and cookies. It was such a beautiful sight and even more stunning was our room. Our bedroom greatly exceeded our expectations! So lovely words cannot describe it. Every morning we enjoyed the complementary breakfast and was always a great start to our day. The staff were all so friendly and helpful especially when it came to taking taxi's and getting around. We always felt very safe in this Riad. It was about 15 minute walk to Jemaa el-Fnaa Square and many cool sites along the way. You will do alot of walking so have a comfortable pair of shoes. We also made use of the airport transfers to and from the Riad and were very easy to book. I would most definitely stay here again! Thank you so much for your hospitality.

This is a lovely Riad, beautifully decorated. We had the upstairs terrace room with two beds, a lovely bathroom suite. Beautiful charming Riad hotel. The owner gave us great recommendations for food and things to visit. As far as the location, it's good but not the best, not close enough to the main attractions (museums-palaces), and especially since it's not confortable to walk at night, Marrakech kids are asking for money continually. A delicious breakfast is included, but they forgot to serve it to us on our last morning before going to the airport, even if they said they would.

My group and friends and I visited the Riad for two nights at the beginning of our trip to Morocco and we were blown away by this stunning, cozy Riad! The location was perfect and easy to find. Our taxi dropped us off right at the door and the owner met us to help with our luggage. We were also greeted with mint tea and tons of information about the city. Renaud is the most helpful person you will ever meet and he and the other Riad staff made our stay absolutely amazing. Our experience wouldn’t have been the same without their kindness. We couldn’t wait to come back to the Riad at the end of our Morocco visit as it was our favourite accommodations of the entire trip. If you’re travelling to Marrakesh you must stay here!! It is by far our favourite place we have stayed during our travels abroad and would highly recommend it!

Renaud (owner of the Riad) contacted me soon after booking just to clarify details, etc. We were literally in contact for 5-6 weeks with him answering any question or concern I had promptly. It was so easy to communicate the desires of my partner and I and Renaud saw to it that everything was perfect. His staff is so responsive and quick to complete a request. They look happy to be there and happy to meet the guests. Renaud's Riad had the comfort of my home but luxurious. The decorations are all intentionally chosen and match beautifully. And SPOTLESS. I've been to franchised hotels (marriott, etc) that did not meet the standards of this Riad and the quality of service. Renaud has such a positive character. I felt like I was meeting up with a friend. All in all, service 11/10. Value 15/10. Comfortability 11/10. Morocco was amazing. Riad La Terrasse des Oliviers will ABSOLUTELY see me again some day. What a phenomenal experience. Background info: - College (undergrad) Student - Springbreak - Boyfriend/Girlfriend vacation - Birthday Celebration

We stayed at this riad for 3 nights and it was the highlight of our trip. It is truly a spectacular home which has been designed to create a very comfortable and tranquil experience for the traveller. Throughout the riad there are several peaceful sitting areas off the courtyard and a great roof top terrace. We really enjoyed having breakfast on the terrace and using this for lounging after a long day of walking in the Medina. Our suite provided everything we needed and included a small sitting area and a very comfortable bed. The Nespresso machine was a nice touch as well. Several iPads are available for use by guests and wifi access is good. Breakfasts included fruit, yoghurt, a selection of breads/cake and preserves, eggs, fresh squeezed orange juice and coffee or tea. Delicious! The owner Renaud has a great team of staff who appear to always be happy to help in anyway to ensure a good stay. On our first day, Renaud took quite a bit of time to orient us to Marrakesh by providing information on key sites to visit. Most importantly, he helped us to identify landmarks that would help us find our way out of the Medina and back to the riad. This was invaluable on the first day as the Medina can be a little overwhelming. We found the location to be convenient and were able to walk everywhere. There are several very nice restaurants close by for dinners. In summary, great place. Nice people. Can't wait to go back. --a big thank you for a great experience!

Renaud and his staff were wonderful and truly made us feel at home in this charming riad. We travelled with a toddler, and they were very accommodating. The central location of this riad allowed us to see plenty of Marrakech while still being able to relax and let our child take a break whenever he needed it. Another highlight was the food, I definitely recommend having diiner at the riad, especially on the day they serve tangia! Breakfast was also excellent, with plenty of delicious freshly squeezed orange juice. La Terrasse des Oliviers was really the perfect choice for us, and made our visit much more relaxed and enjoyable. Highly recommended.

I had a great stay at Riad la Terassee des Oliviers. The Riad is gorgeous with a spacious terrace where you can eat breakfast and the staff are all extremely helpful and friendly. One of the greatest aspects of this Riad is its location--it is close to a great hammam (spa), the souks, Jemaa el-Fnaa, Jardin Majorelle, and many, many restaurants (all within easy walking distance). We stayed in Riads in Marrakech, Rabat and Chefchauen, and this was by far the nicest we stayed at - both in terms of comfort and helpfulness! Renault was fantastic with his tips about where to eat, where to walk, and what to watch out for. Thank you so much Renault, Marika and everyone else at the Riad for making our stay so pleasant. A tip for anyone staying there: take Renault's offer to arrange a taxi from the airport - having a driver who knows where the Riad is will save a lot of hassle.

Top little Riad. Renauld the owner was very welcoming, made sure he caught up with each guest every day and was full of useful tips. The dinner we ordered was the best we had in 11 nights in Morocco and the breakfast was huge. We stayed in the smallest (but cheapest) room which was compact but clean and nice. The rooftop terrace was great to breakfast on and sit in the evenings with lots of comfy sofas. Only a 20 min walk to centre but quite quiet and not too difficult to find.

.. this Riad (although at first difficult to find) is a haven, in comparison to the general cacophony and craziness in the Medina. The hotel owner is lovely, and the staff can't do enough for you - although having some french certainly helps. There's a nice terrace where you can enjoy the sun, the rooms are great (although i personally wouldn't go for the cheapest, smallest option - it's on the ground floor and would lack the privacy of the others). It is not the quietest riad - you do hear the staff during the day, evening and sometimes night, and of course there is also the call to prayer five times a day. I would absolutely stay here again, and if you go, make sure you order dinner - in my opinion, the food was far better than i found in marrakech restaurants. The riad is also only 20 minutes' walk from the main square.

Arrived late at night to a prearranged, 3 course dinner. There was a choice of vegetarian or chicken tagine and wine and beer if desired. The owner of the riad, Renaud, was very helpful and answered all of the many questions that we posed the following morning. He gave us lots of tips and useful guidelines to help us during our stay in Marrakech. We enjoyed breakfast on the terrace every morning, served by Yousef, who was more than obliging. The facilities at this riad are very good for such a reasonable price. There are ipads available for guest's use and as much water or mint tea as you can drink! Our room (suite) was spacious and traditionally decorated with beautiful furniture and lovely lamps. The bathroom, although not luxurious, was large and had shampoo, soap, shower gel and body lotion. (no conditioner) Our only problem with the riad, and it's a very minor point, is that the 'swimming pool' was more like a plunge pool! We didn't use it and it didn't affect our stay, but don't build your hopes of of having a nice swim - it's small and situated in the reception area. It is lovely and looks very pretty at night with the floating candles. The riad is 5 minutes walk from the souks and some nice restaurants, 20-25 minutes from the square and taxis from most places within the medina to the riad cost about 20 DAM (£1.50 - 2.00). A taxi to/from the airport is approx £8 - 12 and Le Jardin Majorelle is approx 20 mins walk away. Highly recommended.

Definitely try Malika's cooking! This is a cozy riad- only 5 rooms, so you feel private. Room sizes are quite generous. (We had friends in another "larger" riad; their room was 1/2 the size and it felt more like a hotel.). Do also try to chat with the owner if you and he have the opportunity; Renault (sp?) Is an interesting man! He gave a really great "introduction " and welcome --marking our maps with landmarks. We didn't get lost- unlike our friends in the other riad! He also gave us great info and suggestions on what to visit.

Just got back from a wonderful stay in Marrakech. I would recommend this riad to anyone! The service is fab and the building is traditional mortician style. Rooms are large and decorated wonderfully, with a very comfortable bed as well! A particular highlight is the stunning roof terrace. Everyone working at this place is friendly and super helpful. Will be staying there again!

We booked late the night before online, but apparently the owner had not updated the system and had already booked all of the rooms without reflecting this on the booking websites. HOWEVER, when we arrived at the train station, the owner still had a car waiting for us to take us to the Riad. He explained what happened and had already worked out a solution upon our arrival. Even though we had to move between this and another riad during our stay, it never was a burden because the owner took care of all bookings and even transferred our bags between the two hotels (they were only about 2 minutes away on foot, and the other riad was equally nice). The owner took great care of us every step of the way, including a very informative orientation to the city. The rest of the staff were equally warm and helpful. The rooms themselves are very nice, clean, and comfortable. Breakfast was the best that we had in Morocco, and on our last day the overnight staff member even prepared it for us before our insanely early departure. The riad is very beautiful, but it was the help and genuine care of the owner and staff that makes us recommend this riad unequivocally. Stay here, you won't be disappointed.

The wonderful people at this Riad made all the difference to us. This was our first trip to Morocco so we were so very confused with the experience. The staff changed our confusion into delight. Our suggestion to anyone who follows us would be to change your outlook before you arrive. This is not a Hilton and does not claim to be, so please do not try to compare. We arrived timid and on guard and left humble and as friends. If you could possibly put yourself into this frame of mind this experience could change your life. Stay at this place you will not regret it.
