Il y a juste la situation de positif dans cet établissement

Cons: Je vous déconseilles cet établissement. Les photos sont fausses. L’établissement tombe en ruine. Séjours de 8 nuits changement 4 fois de chambre. Fuites, inondations, hôtel délabré. Aucun me indemnisation ou proposition de dédommagement de l’hôtel. Même quand nous avons annoncé le stipulé sur booking la réponse a été : ça ne changera rien on sera tjrs sur booking . Réveillé en pleine nuit pas une fuite au plafond, fenêtre dont la poignée reste dans les mains, portes qui ferme pas à clés … j’en passe. Aujourd’hui nous avons demandé un remboursement mais attendons tjrs un retour de booking qui traite la demande depuis 1 mois… je crois que cela va durer l’attente. C’est inadmissible de proposer un établissement comme celui la et pas assumé les réclamations .

The location was very good, and the rooms a really good size, although quite basic. The heating in the rooms worked well, apart from in one of the rooms.

Cons: One room was really cold, and had a lot of pigeon noise on the flat roof above. The breakfast was poor, and on the terrace, which was very cold. The corridors were not very clean, and there was mould in one room (the cold room).

The staff at reception were really kind and helpful, they helped me book many activities even last minute and book a taxi as well. Overall, they had a very positive attitude and kind.

Cons: The staff at the restaurant were mean to me, My order has been ignored on multiple occasions, and one of the staff was passive aggressive to me for no reason. The breakfast was not good as it didn't have any source of protein and mainly just pastries and jam. It's hard to take a nap as the cleaning goes on for the entire morning and afternoon and the people were so loud and I couldn't sleep. On new year's eve I couldn't sleep as some people were having an argument in the hallway and woke me up at 4 in the morning. Overall the hotel is not really professional, you can't really say whether you want your room cleaned or not, on the second day I was surprised by a cleaner unlocking the door when I was taking a nap. On another day, I requested for my room to be cleaned but this never happened.

Apparemment un problème de canalisations. Lavabo décollé du mur. Matelas en cuvette. La télévision en panne pendant tout le séjour. Petit déjeuner dans un endroit non chauffé ouvert au vent. Pas de thé proposé au petit déjeuner (il a fallu le réclamer tous les matins).

Super happy with staying at Hotel Islane! Perfect location, we booked it for our first night in Marrakesh. It was easy to find and really close to centrum. Also the staff was super helpful, helped us get a taxi and ask with taxi driver about the price. Breakfast view amazing! Also just by the door there is currency exchange. The room was beautiful and just perfect for short stay. Hope to come back!

Tuvimos una gran experiencia en el Hotel Islane. Nos atendió Fatima y fue un encanto, como todo el personal del hotel. Las habitaciones son amplias y cumplen con lo básico. El desayuno es poco variado pero todo está rico, y las vistas desde la terraza son muy bonitas

The location of this hotel is excellent - close to the Djemaa El Fna square and within minutes of the airport bus-stop. It is a good budget hotel. OK, the TV control didn't work and a hot shower wasn't always a given, but my room was very nicely decorated, clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was served on the terrace from which there was a very good view of the Koutoubia mosque. The breakfast was excellent and filling. The supervisor remembered my name, which was nice. Don't expect 5 star comfort because this is not a 5 star hotel, but it does well what it purports to do. The staff were very helpful and polite at all times. My air conditioning broke down at one point, but was fixed immediately.

Cons: Pity the TV didn't work. Why is there no plug for the bathroom sink? Just a little concerned about the security of the hotel at night.

The best thing about this hotel is the location and the beautiful view of the mosque from the breakfast terrace. The bed and bed linen were good and comfortable. Breakfast was basic — you can find something to eat, but nothing special. They do bake fresh bread, but oddly enough, they serve old, dried-out bread first thing in the morning.

Cons: There were quite a few issues, though. One side of the wardrobe couldn’t be opened because the bed was in the way, and the other side was useless since there were no hangers. The room had no table, no chairs, no mirror, no hairdryer. Water from the shower would spill into the room, and the bathroom door was practically useless — broken lock, large gap, and no real privacy. The front door lock was broken — even the cleaning staff struggled with it, but no one ever came to fix it. Staff were shouting loudly in the hallways during the day and even at night, which was really unacceptable! We also saw a cockroach in the corridor as we were leaving... On top of that, the TV didn’t work and there was no Wi-Fi signal in the room. Cleanliness was a serious issue. The bed was made, but no towels were left in the room — we had to go ask for them. When we checked in, the floor was dirty, and there were glass marks left on the sink.

Solo traveler in Room #236. I booked 5 nites total, on 3 separate reservations. Room was comfortable, bed quite large, hot water shower with very good pressure. Balcony to sit outside when weather allows. there’s evening outside noise & cacophony but that doesn’t bother me at all (as I’ve learned to tune it out). Breakfast is offered on the outdoor terrace & appears adequate but it could offer some fruit instead of so many bread choices. Room lighting is good. Staff excellent, friendly & accommodating. Very safe. Great location just outside The Medina. Room has a TV (which I didn’t watch at all).

Cons: There’s no functioning safe deposit box or mini-fridge in the room. Air con didn’t work at all. WiFi in bedroom is atrocious, best on terrace, in main lobby or anywhere else but in the bedroom. Also, beware of the wet tiled bathroom floor after showering: it’s slippery, so be extremely careful. The shampoo dispenser in the shower was ALWAYS empty, never filled. There is nowhere to place your luggage or bag to open it up, except on the bed or the floor. Needs a “DO NOT DISTURB” sign to hang outside the door. Also, on my last day at breakfast, I was hounded by one of the breakfast servers for a ”tip” (after he found out it was my check-out day: NOT COOL.

Cons: We visited in early February and Marrakech gets quite cold in winter. Breakfast was served on the main open terrace and everything was freezing. There was a toaster were you could heat up toast but you had to put each items in 3 to 4 times before it became edible. The variety was limited and poor and orange juice came straight out of a powder mixture. When I complained to the staff they told me that they know the experience is bad but management just will not change anything. When I complained to the manager he said he will look into improving things but nothing changed during our stay. The room was very small and uncomfortable. The traffic noise was terrible. In hindsight I should have just changed hotels as this experience ruined my visit to Marrakech.

It was convenient to have a simple breakfast included, sitting on their restaurant's terrace staring at the palm trees, the mountains and the big mosque. Very nice. The room was spacious. The staff was attentive and friendly. I thought the location was great. Very close to one of the doors to the old town. So when you get exhausted from walking around the markets you can always go back to the hotel for a rest without needing a taxi. I stayed in the very last room at the end of a lengthy walk through several corridors. The walk included going up several flights of stairs and then later back down a flight of stairs. I thought that was humorous. I would say everything in the room was pretty well worn but functional. Nice bright light in the bathroom and a good hot shower. I stayed for four nights in January and was pretty happy with it.

Cons: I was greeted by a couple of tiny cockroaches running around my room. And then a more normal size cockroach a day later. I wasn't too bothered by it. I checked under the mattress and under the bed for signs of bed bugs and couldn't find anything. But under the bed was filthy with dust and debris. I left the bed pulled out from the wall and when I came back later in the day everything was back in its place and they had cleaned under the bed. The cleaning staff really seemed to be hardworking. The place was a little noisy in the evening. The long hard corridors really echo people talking and shutting doors in the hallway. And I think there's a nightclub behind the hotel that will lull you to sleep with a good house music rhythm. The lighting in the room was odd. You might describe it as romantic. It was pretty bright in the daylight but if you drop a coin on the floor in the evening, you're probably going to need a flashlight to find it.

The Location of this hotel is the main reason for staying as it is 2 minute walk to the main square Jemaa el-Fnaa. The restaurant was perfect and had a wonderful view of the mosque opposite. breakfast is also provided with the room and set us up for the day, staff were very attentive and friendly. I would defiantly recommend this hotel for its location and value for money. The Food in the restaurant was very tasty, we ordered a tagine on our first night and I can say it was very good, when compared to the all of the tagines consumed during our two week stay in multiple cities all over morocco.

The only real reason to stay at the Islane is its location - probably the best in Marrakech. Near everything, easy to find, easily reachable by public transport and just a short walk from the Djemma el Fna, whilst being separate from it. There's a lovely roof terrace for breakfast or a lazy pot of tea in the afternoon, although you pay for the view, of course. They try to make the rooms attractive with colourful ceramics and bedspreads but the truth is they're pretty run down.

Cons: It's overpriced for what it is. I know this, yet I still stay here time after time for the location and 'better the devil you know'. It's never been great, but it doesn't get much worse. Except this time my toilet seat was loose, I had only hand towels and the air conditioning wasn't working (there wasn't even a control for it). Usually that wouldn't matter as the windows open. But there was a loud concert on the square until 1am so my choice was to be deafened or roasted. Breakfast is average. Made up for by the view!

Cons: I had made a reservation to the Atlas Mountains through Bokking.com, Viator, online. The excursion was canceled at the last moment. There were no other tours, except for a private tour that cost 700 dirhams. It was my last day in Marrakech. Booked the trip. After a while the driver said it will cost 1000 dirhams. After the tour we came back to the hotel where the tour salesman is, in the hotel lobby, behind a small desk with a computer. He explained that Online booking is not to be trusted. You should book through a local seller, preferably through him. He had never heard of Bokking.com or Viator. I have always booked online, this trip 6 bookings online. The company in the lobby is called Islan Sports and Travels. Cannot be recommended. A suspicious seller.

Cons: The room did not reflect the photos. Very dated. The shower consisted of a curtain that pulled across half the bathroom which meant floor and toilet got wet. No tiles on wall so plaster looked water tired. The electrics were dodgy … light didn’t work in bathroom and socket in bedroom was loose so unable to use. The worst part of the stay was the noise. Loud music playing until the early hours of the morning plus the hotel is all stone (no soft furnishings to deaden noise) so there was a constant noise of people talking in the corridor.

Excellent location. The hotel is just across from Quotibian and is less than 5 minutes walking distance from Jemaa el-Fnaa. Being inside Medina, although a little farther, you can still walk to Bahia Palace, if you are up to that extra stretch. The staff at both dining hall and reception were very friendly and always around. The dining are though the floors, tables etc. could be better was very well situated in an open terrace and very nice view to Qutobian.

Cons: The first room smelt bad like cigarette smoke. They allowed me to switch room. However, that room turned out to be even worse. When I opened the bathroom, the stench was unbearable. It was raining outside and did not have the energy to cancel reservation and move to a different hotel. The beds were clean and they room service cleaned up pretty well everyday. There was a closet kind of structure in the corner. The end of the bed was few inches from the structure corner. The only plug point on the other side. To get to that I had squeeze my way through the few inches of space.

Location very convenient – view of Koutoubia Mosque, short walk to Jemaa El Fna. Entrance not easy to find. Room a bit tired, but serviceable. Busy road outside, but double glazing meant it was quiet inside. Breakfast OK, although nothing inspiring – it is served on the top floor (open, so quite cold in the morning).

I loved the location of the property and the staff. Everyone is super nice and comfort your every need.

Cons: I have stayed at hotels that have better facilities inside for less. For me I find this hotel a tad bit expensive but they do have an excellent location.

The location was absolutely amazing, if you want to be in the centre of old Marrakesh by the infamous day & Night market, this is truly the place to be. The manager Loubna was very friendly and went the further mile to ensure our stay was of our expectations. She truly is a great manager.

Cons: Cleansiness of the room was not of great interest to the hotel staff. Neither was ensuring clean towels are made available, when we requested towels we were given hand towels.

Ideal location, street views, and accessible to all historical locations. Medina square just 5 minutes away on foot.

The staff was so lovely and professional especially at the reception Abderrazak who provided me with all the necessary info to have a wonderful tour in the Medina. I can't thank him enough. Also the Room was very clean and comfortable.

The location was perfect, and a couple of minutes walk from Jemaa el Fna. The bedroom was extremely spacious, comfortable, and clean. Breakfast on the roof terrace was great.

Cons: I was never quite sure if the people on the reception actually had anything to do with the hotel or were part of the travel agency that also used the space.

I often stay here because of the perfect location, close to everything and easy to find/get transport to and from. It's a good basic choice and the terrace is nice for breakfast or a coffee.

Cons: It's overpriced for what it is, and not everything is well maintained: the shower water doesn't drain, the soap dispenser doesn't work properly, the toilet sometimes doesn't flush, that kind of thing. The breakfast staff was pestering for tips, even though he'd done nothing besides laying down some stale bread (the breakfast is unremarkable to say the least) which was pretty annoying.

Brilliant location, excellent and friendly staff. Good breakfast of local food. Restaurant a bit dull, but to be fair, it was the beginning of February. Good wifi, contrary to previous reviews

Cons: Room was a bit dated, no balcony and poor view. Bathroom was functional. Only 2 working powerpoints in whole room. It did have a mini fridge though, which was unexpected.

I went to Sky Venisa with my friend, the waiter khalid was very friendly and Alladin was very friendly and helpful with helping us with where to go in Marrakech. The views from the bar are amazing and it’s so nice to sit up there and watch what’s going on around. Defo go here if you visit Marrakech!

Only good thing is location

Cons: Unhelpful and rude staff. We got a room without window and was very noisy. (We heard everything what was happening in restaurant - it started at 6 in the morning!! and late night washing in the floor above us). We came for vacation and didn’t get enough sleep. Not very pleasant experience does not deserve 3 stars. Hotel doesn’t have parking, but on booking says it does. We asked for directions and they talked to us like we know the town and when we tried to explain he already talked to another guests and ignore us.

The hotel is basic, and desperately needs a bit of TLC. The noise in the corridors is totally excessive, banging doors (have they ever heard of a soft close door) the locks dont always work, keys with massive metal accessories on them meaning they bang against the lock, staff and guests shouting in the corridors, music from the bar underneath blaring till 2am. The floors are marble so any noise echo's all over and staff dont even attempt to keep the noise down, they also leave master keys on the floor and dirty washing in the corridors. The staff in the restaurant are lovely, and the breakfast is great (basic but plentiful). The location is excellent . this hotel could be excellent but frankly right now its terrible.

Cons: In our room, the hot water in the shower was activated when the hot water tap in the sink was turned on. Not a big inconvenience, just something to be aware of. The location etc more than made up for this.

the location. on a busy road but over looking the gardens and mosque so felt safe arriving late at night. lovely views from the roof terrace. very comfortable beds.

Cons: felt like it was fantastic in its hey day but rather tired now. the pictures seem to show it at its best rather than as it is now. we didn’t see the hammam open at all. it was next to our room. the music from the terrace carried down through the internal courtyard into our room and the hard surfaces of the corridors meant a lot of noise could be heard. not so much a problem for me as I have hearing issues but my husband didn’t sleep well with the noises.

Great location near the Koutoubia Mosque and only a short walk to the main square. Very good air conditioning.

Cons: Television was one of the smallest I've ever seen and there was only one station, in Arabic only. Nothing in English. I was locked out or trapped in my room and couldn't get out as there was something wrong with the lock. Shower was very slow to drain.

Location - great. Breakfast - excellent. Room - ok. The hotel has a charming roof terrace overlooking the Koutoubia mosque. Lunch there was fine and it was a nice place to have a glass of wine and watch the world go by. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Easy walk to the centre of the Plaza Jemaa Al Fna - a couple of minutes.

Cons: Would have liked a balcony or at least a nice view, but window opened onto an inner courtyard.

The Hotel Islane entrance has a lobby where you can book excursions - stay away! My friend and I booked the €20 Ourika day tour where we were told we would be able to explore the waterfalls. There were 3 stops along the way where we were just forced to go into tourist shops and pressured to buy goods. At one stop we asked if we could go across the road to take photos of the view and the tour guide said ‘no, the stop here is this shop’ which we found very rude and inflexible as we would literally just be across the road. The ‘exploration of the waterfalls’ was also a medium difficulty hike )which you cannot and should not do unguided), that included climbing ropes. No one on our tour was warned about this, and although the guide (a different person to the driver) was very very helpful with making us feel more comfortable, it was still a very unnerving hike given the steep cliff drops that was a 3 hour round trip. By this point it was 3pm and many in the group had not had any food since the morning. We were then made to eat lunch at a restaurant which was rammed with all the day tourists, and served very average food. On the way back we were told we would arrive back in Marrakesh at 5pm, but the driver decided to inefficiently detour to all the resorts outside of central Marrakesh (even though we were very close to the city) so we didn’t arrive until 6:30pm. The driver didn’t even drop us off at a safe spot and was rushing myself and my friend out of the car saying they police are near’. Overall this was a very disappointing experience and we would definitely not book again.

We stayed here for 4 nights, after seeing some of the reviews on here & taking into account the low price, I wasn’t expecting much, however, we were pleasantly surprised, yes, the room was basic, but it was clean. Cleaners come in daily to change the bedding and towels. We were told that the free WiFi only worked on the “terrasse” however, our room was close enough that we could easily access the WiFi from bed! The location is perfect, just a couple of minutes walk to the main square of Jemaa el-Fnaa and overlooking Koutoubia Mosque. The staff were really friendly and helpful, especially the manager of the Islane Activities & Excursions which is based in the lobby, we had pre-booked our trip with another company before leaving the UK, they were a little late collecting us and the manager from Islane excursions rang them for us to see what was happening, on our final day, our pre-booked transfer to the airport was also late, again, Islane activities saw us waiting and rang our transfer company to find out where they were! I want to go back to Marrakech at some point as there is so much more to see, I’ll definitely stay at Hotel Islane on my return & will be using Islane Activities for any trips I want to take.
