Convenient riad with a decent breakfast and friendly staff. Fridges in the good-sized rooms.

Cons: Leaks from rain soaked the lobby during our stay, and the entrance to the road is through a serpentine alley that is not easy to find. Lots of trash and rubble in front of the road.

The property was well located, providing quick access to both local amenities, and transport hubs. It served a good breakfast, and was a great place to crash at the end of a busy day.

Cons: Not a lot TBH. The fridge was a bit noisy and the bed covers are so tightly wedged under the mattress that one ends up restrained but nothing serious

Bij het vroege vertrek kregen we ontbijt to go.

But! I’m giving this hotel the highest rating for other things - a comfortable bed, a pleasant mattress, good pillows, and a warm blanket. The water pressure was also very good, with perfectly hot water. These things are important, and not every place in Morocco has them.

Cons: It’s worth noting that the riad in the photos looks much better and more authentic than it actually is. It’s also worth mentioning that there are many reviews praising the wonderful breakfast, while in reality the breakfast consists of a boiled egg, a lot of (in my opinion) not very tasty pastries with jam, yogurt, and tea. For me, it was an average breakfast, and just around the corner we found a café that was truly good.

The staff couldn't have been more helpful. They organised an arrival transfer and met us where the taxi stopped (the Riad is down a few alleyways and would be difficult to find the first time) they made us a packed breakfast to take on an excursion and they even helped translate for a departure transfer we booked ourselves. Honestly, they were fantastic

Cons: The breakfast overall was a bit meh. It wasn't awful, but it wasn't amazing either. Their mint tea is lovely though!! That's the only reason we marked it a 9 and not a 10

Very pretty riad and rooms are good size

Cons: Bedding was very uncomfortable and I couldn’t really sleep well Upon check in I was not informed what time is the breakfast and that there will be nobody at the desk early in the morning. I couldn’t leave the riad as the doors were locked from the inside and couldn’t find staff member to let me out (all lights switched off) I missed hot air balloon excursion I booked as the tour operator couldn’t wait for me anymore and it cost me 170 eur. I have arrived back to Riad at 22:45 on the last day and wanted to settle the bill, only having to walk with the staff member to another hotel across the square, wasting about 15 mins, to pay by card as their card machine wasn’t working all day. In the morning I was escorted out and staff member just let me carry all my bags myself without even offering to help. Overall really disappointed with the stay and I would definitely not come back to Marrakesh.

Our stay at this riad in Marrakech was really great! The owners are very careful to help with recommendations and reservations throughout our stay. We really appreciated the very rich breakfast. We really recommend this riad!

The Riad is beautifully designed and decorated. Stuff is very attentive. Location is excellent. Recommend in general. But there are two main issue: - Breakfast is very poor. Owner tries to save a few pennies and serves supermarket bought jam tablets, elastic uneatable bread, and boiled egg from the day before. Coffee is also very weak. No salad, no fruits (accept orange juice). Luckily, the kitchen girl accepted making us a omelet. - Rooms are very small. We had to be careful all the time not to stumble of our stuff that we had to keep on the floor.

Nice riad with a traditional feel. The city is full of these places and this was definitely on the better end of what is available. The place was lovely, nice courtyard, good rooftop area. They met us when we arrived and helped us find the place the first time, which was essential and much appreciated. Good breakfast. Any time we needed something that seemed a little bit extra, they were really great. For instance: the host talked to the drivers who were picking us up for the next leg of our tour and arranged all of that. Then they found someone for a private walking tour of the city and arranged all of that. There seemed to be no above and beyond.

Cons: The staff was nice but sometimes hard to find. There was only one person working who dealt with customers. It isn't a huge place, but so that was sufficient, but that did mean that you had to wait sometimes to talk to someone. Not a deal, just setting expectations. If you need to have your needs catered to in an instant, this place -- this sort of place, really -- isn't for you.

I couldn't sleep, so I didn't like anything.

Cons: The noise, being a riad the sounds echo everywhere, and when the room doors close they are heard very loudly everywhere. We are early risers and we try to fall asleep around 10pm, but due to the fact that the doors could be heard every time they closed and opened, we couldn't fall asleep before 1-2am, so very noisy.

We stayed for only 1 night and stayed in a ground floor triple room. The room was clean and a standard size. The amenities included air conditioning, a fridge, TV, hair dryer and complimentary bathrobes and towels. The shower had good water pressure and unlike other riads the bathroom had good lighting also. Breakfast was included and was plentiful. On top of the usual selection of Moroccan breads the Riad also provided croissants and boiled eggs. The Riad is quite close to one of the entry gates into the Medina making it convenient for pick ups and drop offs. The Riad is also quite secure and has CCTV throughout.

The riad was inside the medina at a dead end and was a little bit difficult to find. Google map could not pinpoint the location. You needed to knock on the door so somebody could let you in. It was at a dead end so it was quiet. The riad overall was nice but started to show its age. The bed was comfy and the bathroom was bright. The room itself was a little dark. Breakfast started at 8:00 same Moroccan style breakfast.

The property has an excellent position, halfway through Bab Laksour and Jemaa El Fna square. The riad is amazingly decorated and would deserve the same popularity as similar ‘instagrammable’ riads who catch all the attention on social media. It also has a beautiful terrace to linger in the sun on sunbeds. The staff is very discreet although they are always present 24/7 and very kind. The morning breakfast is excellent and varied. It is also possible to have lunch/dinner in the riad. The riad was very clean, comfortable and well-equipped (with a small fridge and several plugs to recharge your electronic devices, which is not so obvious in many riads). Beds were ultra-comfortable.

Cons: We stayed in the room at ground floor which has a bit of smell of humidity.

Authentic different experience .Breakfast good. Nice roof space to sunbathe and read .

Cons: Getting to a Riad . Marrakesh stn taxi - one hundred dirham - dropped us unexpectedly short at walls to ancient old town. We had to ask directions next as satnav failed on foot . We got FLEECED two hundred dirham by two youths who offered to show us the way down twisting alleyways to the Riad, and then demanded extortionate tips . NOTE : Most Riads are down alleyways ; TOP TIP - If local offers to help show you the way on foot , AGREE A PRICE like you would a taxi driver . Friendly but They Want Something in return for helping lost visitors within the ancient city walls . Morocco apart from this experience and lack of comfort on trains and sometimes mad driving , was pictureque welcoming and great btw .

Riad Sidi Baba was an incredible riad worth staying in. Aimad, Yousef and the team were so welcoming and hospitable. They went above and beyond, making our stay extra special. Aimad even allowed us to print our boarding passes free of charge, as we forgot to do so. They answered any queries quickly and even sorted airport transfers and an excursion too for great value. The room was extremely clean and was cleaned every day and a good size too. Breakfast was great and very fresh. The Riad is close to the main square and the souks. We would recommend this riad and would definitely visit again! Daniel and Mia

The location is convenient and the front desk is staffed 24 hours. Friendly and helpful team during the stay. Nice breakfast every morning.

Cons: Communication upon arrival could have been better. After previously confirming arrival time, we could not get a hold of anyone via Booking.com chat or by phone (called by local driver throughout the day) to coordinate luggage assistance to the riad. Fixing that would earn a 10/10 next time

The Villa is very conveniently located--5 minute walk to entrance to the Medina (old city) and 5 minute walk to the main square, Jemaa al Fnaa. There is currently a construction site next door (or potential?), but no work happening at this moment. The entrance is not imposing, but once you enter, the Villa is beautiful and peaceful. I stayed in two different rooms, a triple and a double; both were lovely. Staff were very helpful--they did our laundry, kept our suitcase while we went trekking, and gave us good advice. Breakfast was served in the main room--bright and cheerful, and food was ample and delicious.

Extremely friendly and reliable people. Transfers from and to the airport were arranged easy and at decent cost. The reception guy welcomed us at taxi stop so we don’t get lost in the souks. The location is perfect - really close to the main square but quiet and easy to find. At the same time it was close to the medina gate so quick access with the luggage to the taxis. Spotless clean and the breakfast was awesome - loved the fresh orange juice and mint tea. The rooftop was nothing special but we had no time to hang there anyway.

Cons: It was amazing. Nothing to list here. Those with high expectations should know that riads are small guest houses so can’t expect hotel type of experience. And that’s the beauty of it!

Beautiful riad, only a few minutes walk from the main square and markets. I mostly enjoyed the quiet and calm on the premises. There were other guests there but we could never hear them because the isolation is very good. The riad is traditional and not as ostentatious as other ones in Marrakech but it surprisingly had more amenities than the more expensive riads such as full size fridge in the room and built in air con. The staff were all lovely and made sure we had a wonderful stay.

Cons: The breakfast was quite basic and could have included moroccan delicacies (msemmen, harcha etc) instead of just bread.

Great location and friendly staff! We really enjoyed our stay here. We felt very welcome, the breakfasts were the perfect way to start the day, the riad is beautifully decorated and a very handy location. Our airport transport was sorted through Riad Villa Sidi Baba and I highly recommend doing this- good communication for the pickup, and a staff member met us at the medina gates to walk us to the riad. Cars are not allowed in to the medina, and it would have been a little confusing trying to find the riad on our own in all the alleys. Once we knew where it was we had no problem finding it.

This is not a hotel or riad, its just small and old 2 floor property overlooking a garbage dump in the dirtiest part of old medina. The only alley that connects the property is extremely small and dirty with people pooping in between. No taxis allowed inside the old medina so you have to walk 1 km carrying your luggage into the dirty and and small alleys in the blazing sun. The breakfast was average, not a rooftop buffet. The wifi was not working when i checked in. Definately avoid this property if you dont wanna ruin marakesh holidays

This riad really has the wow factor! As we approached the front door I felt that we’d found a hidden gem and I was right! This riad is decorated in traditional moorish style; the attention to detail and craftsmanship of the decor is a feast for your eyes. We were grateful to be on the ground floor (we had lots of heavy bags) and overlooked the courtyard where breakfast was served. Our room was extremely spacious, our beds were very comfortable and the shower was powerful and hot. We were provided with lovely towels, thick robes and quality toiletries. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. The Moroccan breakfast is an additional extra but well worth every Dirham only cost equivalent to €4. It included freshly squeezed orange juice, mint tea, coffee, eggs, pancakes, bread and we were asked if we would like omelettes too. The staff were so friendly and helpful, they recommended and booked a Hamman for us (which was amazing). Our flight home was late in the afternoon and after we’d checked out they kept our luggage for us, enabling us to explore more of the city, on our return, they booked a taxi and helped carry our luggage to meet it. We stayed in three riads during this visit to Morocco and this one is by far the best. We will be returning to Marrakesh and when we do we won’t even bother looking at anywhere else to stay.

Aimed gave us ideas for food and places to visit. Our room was a good size and the beds were very comfy. Breakfast was plenty and delicious. Excellent location being just a 5 minute walk through the narrow alley-ways (well lit at night) to the main square.

It was my first time visiting Morocco. I visited 4 cities on this trip and stayed in a few riads but I felt like this one was more sound proof. They were also very clean and it was beautiful. I can see how the location of the riad can be scary at night, especially if you are traveling alone. There is some kind of construction right in front of the riad so there's no light at night. There are 2 ways you can walk to the riad. If you are taking a cab there, I would tell them to drop you off at "bab lakssour". Cars can't drive into the gated area so you'll have to walk no matter what, but I like this route to the riad a little better than the other one.

Cons: Towards the end of my trip, I asked the morning staff guy if he can reserve a taxi for me because I was leaving very early the next day. My flight was at 7:20am. I was going on a tour so I quickly just asked him in passing. I asked him what time he think we should head out. and how much it would cost. He said 180 dirhams. When I came back from my tour in the early evening, it was a different young guy. I asked him if he was aware that I needed a taxi and he said yes. i confirmed the time and price again with him and also asked if I can pay 180 dirhams by credit card. He told me no, it had to be cash. I told him that I would change my clothes and then I will head out to the market to go exchange money. After I changed, I headed back out to the front desk, but it was a another guy (the same one from the morning). I told him that I was going to exchange money for the cab and asked where I should go. He point it out to me on the map by the door and before I left, I ONCE AGAIN confirmed the price with him. I walked jemaa el-fnaa for a long time and came back to the riad a bit late in the night. This time, it was another guy, an elderly gentleman. Since I was leaving so early, he asked me to settle up. However, he asked me to pay the fees and cab fare in Euros. I am not European so I wouldn't have any euros on me. I told him that I went to exchange for dirhams so that's what I am paying him in. So he said the cab is actually 18 euros so the cab fee is 195 MAD!!!! I was livid and told him that I am paying what I was told by the other 2 guys. i even asked him to call the other guys and he refused. I pulled out my money and he saw that I had American dollars on me and he asked "so you don't have extra money to pay?" UNBELIEVABLE.

This Riad is simply gorgeous. Lovely bathrooms, comfortable beds with super linens. Nice little rooftop with sunbeds (if only for 10 minutes) Breakfast was varied every morning. One of our party brought decaf coffee and it was no trouble for the kitchen to make every morning. Hot water was no trouble for decaf tea. Nothing was a problem. We did feel our towels did not need to be replaced everyday and the team were happy to comply. Someone was available 24/7 for help. 2 of our party had visited Marrakesh before 4 had not. This little Riad close to everything was perfect in every way for all of us. .

Beautifully aged Riad that is very well kept. The building itself was like art and it was a pleasure to live there for a whole week. The rooms were comfortable and very clean. They had a good breakfast. Everyone in the staff were friendly and welcoming.

Cons: Something to keep in mind is that when you stay at a Riad that is located in the Medina it will be hidden in a dark and narrow alleyway. It can initially be scary to walk through those streets but you get used to it quickly. There are cameras in every corner and many tourists moving about. Historically, Riads were built this way and if you want to stay at one you’ll have to accept that you have to walk through dark alleyways.

Really good location. The room and facilities were clean. The breakfast was enjoyable and the staff was smiley and friendly.

Cons: Our check in was delayed because they were waiting for a photographer to come and take pictures of our room. Not a big deal, however, it would have been better if that was communicated to us at our arrival. They prefer cash payment, it would have been better if that was communicated to us as we had to search for a cash machine and stand in a long queue on our last day.

Very authentic property that was clean. Staff was very anxious to please and serve. An authentic Moroccan breakfast was prepared w care and kindly served.

Cons: It’s location is in the old Medina of Marrakech. Although this is a UNESCO world heritage site it is hard to find in the maze of skinny streets and tunnels. My first walk to the hotel was anxiety producing. The taxi could not let me off at the door due to this. Stayed 3 nights and I got used to the narrow walk. In fact it gives you a little sense of what the ancient city was like. I would stay there again.

Cons: The person at the reception had a very bad cough that went on for hours and he didn't wear a mask. I think that if someone is sick should at least protect the tourists that come to stay in his riad, instead of shearing the flue.

The gentleman at the desk and the lady who prepared our breakfast were delightful. They were very helpful with our many questions and even arranged a taxi to and from the airport. I would definitely stay here again. Oh, and the riad was authentic and absolutely beautiful.

Riad Sidi Baba was better than we expected! The location was amazing, so close to Jemaa al-Fnaa and the marketplaces, yet it was tucked away and quiet. The breakfasts were great, and we looked forward to them every morning. Our room was spacious and had everything we needed.

Breakfast was great, hotel was beautiful and very central, the staff were kind and helpful!

Cons: The beds were very hard (this might be a Moroccan quality as the other place I stayed was similar), this might be a matter of taste. They prefer cash payment, but made it seem like a requirement until I told them I would miss my bus if I had to go to an ATM. Overall very friendly staff and would recommend!

It was fantastic from beginning to end! Amid and staff are very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast is a great start to the day and our meals at night were a great treat after walking around the Medina. The location is ideal with many shops and a rooftop restaurant nearby. I highly recommend!

Quaint. Immaculately clean. Excellent hosts. Delicious breakfast. Perfect location near shops but away from the noisiest areas in the Medina. And incredible beauty in every detail. Highly recommend. Three of us friends stayed just one quick night and wanted longer. We hope to return one day.

This was our favorite place to stay during our entire trip in Morocco. The rooms were beautiful, the staff were extremely helpful and warm, and the location lent to an authentic experience. This was a beautiful sanctuary tucked away from the hustle of the Marrakech Medina. I highly recommend this Riad.

What a surprise! When you open the door to the Riad what you get is so unexpected. Beautiful tiling, courtyard opened to the sky, wonderful rooftop to sit and experience call to prayer. We were able to get laundry completed here and all three of us friends had our own bed! Highly recommend.

Breakfast was OK. However, it is served in the open courtyard, where it is very very cold.

Cons: Our room shouldn't be given to paying customers. It is difficult to open the door. You are cramped by another door and the stairs going downstairs. You have to slip through a narrow opening. The room has very little daylight.

We loved our stay at Riad Villa Sidi Baba. The host was incredibly kind and accommodating. He arranged airport transportation to and from the Riad for a reasonable price and escorted us to/from the driver each time. He also ensured that we had breakfast each morning even on days when we had early tours. Speaking of breakfast, we loved the great assortment of drinks, breads, jams, and entrees on offer each day. Our host also made sure there were gluten free options for one of the members of our group. The Riad itself was beautiful and comfortable. Although we were only a one minute walk away from the busy souks, the only noise we heard in our Riad were the birds chirping in the morning. We loved everything about our stay and would book again without hesitation.

Cons: Nothing. We enjoyed everything about our stay.

The riad is exceptional... The guy from the reception is unbelievable , the breakfast is good, but the dinner is the best option in Marrakech.... Cleaning every day, a big plus is the terace where you can find 4 sunbeds...Again... , the guy from the reception is fantastic 10+....

Cons: It's not a minus...., this is Morocco.... Bring some earplugs to sleep better...

Wow! The riad staff, breakfast, rooms and location was amazing. We had the best time in Marrakech, the riad made it more memorable for my friend and I. I will definitely stay again. The staff was very helpful and respectful. The riad location is just a few min walk from the square, although is in a central location it is very quiet and peaceful place stay.

A feast to the eyes. Ceilings, doors, tiling, lay-out of the breakfast on the table. Ghamad at the desk, ever so helpful and patient. All staff very efficient. In January 2023 everything new and in perfect condition. Very comfortable beds. Good rugs on the floor off the beds. Very good plumbing and hot water. Beds made every day and rooms cleaned. Very good Wifi. Safe for valuables in the room. Location handy for souq, possible to drop off shopping. Location handy for airport bus 19, a few minutes on foot. Location handy for a large choice of excellent cheap restaurants. Very quiet. No traffic noise. No noise at night.

Cons: Very narrow streets, dark at night. Scooters speeding in narrow passages. No close access to the hotel by car.

The perfect place to stay in Marrakech, 300m from the Jemaa el-Fna square, very well located, cars cannot enter the Medina after 12 noon, from where taxis usually leave you it is very close. All the accesses to the Riads are a bit difficult the first time because the streets of the Medina are like labyrinths. The Riad is beautiful, very clean, good breakfast, the staff is very attentive, they are always ready to help you, when I return to Marrakech I will stay at this Riad again.

Very nice typical hôtel. Comfortable and clean room. All decorated in Moroccan style. Very nice staff. The location is great very near main square but still completely calm and silent at night. A bit difficult to find the 1st time but it turned to fun once we realized that's the case of most hotels in the Medina.

We had very good sleep.. -Easy to find location once you know it. -Stone's throw away to everything you need : attractions, restaurants, taxi point, money exchange, SIM card shops etc. -good WiFi -good breakfast in which main dish was different every day we stayed -reasonably priced laundry service -room was much better than the pictures. Liked the idea of bed light that looked like stained glass -we felt safe in the neighborhood

If you are looking for a classic riad in Marrakech in the middle of the medina, this is the right place for you. The raid is beautifully designed and has all the necessary equipment for modern tourism. The real star is the host Aimad, a really absolutely nice and helpful person! Breakfast is also good. The way to the riad is a little narrow and seems slightly strange at first, but it always takes 1-2 days to find your way around the medina. Super Riad!
