The most beautiful Riad with wonderful staff. Calming environment, kind kind humans. We only stayed two nights out of a weeks holiday in Morocco but I could happily of spent every day of the holiday here. The minute you walked through the door you are surrounded with an environment that is nurturing - from the internal courtyard, beautiful upper terrace, great breakfast which was different each day. The recently opened spa was gorgeous too. We felt truly nurtured. Abdou has such a gentle kind positive manner and made our Riad stay perfect. Special mention to Chima, for a brilliant hammam / massage experience and generously shared information about local culture and practice. I would absolutely return to Les Hirrondelles again, thanks team, especially Abdou.

We had the most incredible stay at this Riad, it is even more stunning than in the photos. The location is fabulous, right in the heart of the Medina but a quite peaceful oasis but once you step outside everything you need is close by. The rooms are spacious, gorgeously decorated and super clean. The rooftop was stunning, absolutely beautiful and we loved relaxing there in the sun in the afternoon. The pool is lovely and the view so good! The staff really made our stay so nice and memorable especially Abdul! We also had a Hamam at the onsite spa - would also highly recommend! Would absolutely recommend this Riad, it was 10/10

The location was perfect. It was walking distance to the Medina, but out of frenzy. Inside was a perfect oasis. Also being able to have a taxi drive right to the door and drop you off from a late night flight was so relaxing, no wandering around aimlessly through small little corridors.
Cons: The waiter for breakfast tried to sell us things “made by his family” It was a hard pitch and not appreciated first thing in the morning - before coffee! It was an uncomfortable way to start the day.

We loved our stay at Riad les Hirondelles, it’s a true hidden gem bursting with charm and warmth! Olivier and all the staff made us feel like family, always smiling, attentive, and going above and beyond to make our stay special. The hammam was fantastic, a very authentic experience that left us feeling completely refreshed and pampered. The location is perfect, nestled right in the heart of everything, making it so easy to explore while still offering a peaceful oasis to retreat to. Breakfast was great, fresh bread, eggs, jams and full of local flavors. If you’re looking for a stay full of character, comfort, and unforgettable moments, this riad is truly something magical

Es gibt nichts was man bemängeln könnte.

This Riad was an excellent stay. It is well located in the heart of the medina, next to places of interest to visit. It is close enough to a taxi rank, about 10 minutes walk. The staff and manager are extremely kind, helping us to arrange a private transfer and picked us up from the taxi rank to walk with us back to the Riad. They were also very helpful with instructions on how to get to places. The breakfast was very nice, with different options everyday, so we had the chance to try a bit of everything. The swimming pool and terraces are very quaint and quiet and we had many relaxing mint teas there. I definitely recommend staying here and we will definitely go back. Thank you for having us, we had a lovely time.

If you’re looking for a riad and unsure which one to choose, look no further. We had the most wonderful stay here, this is a riad that is not only perfectly located in the Medina, but, more importantly, a place where you truly feel at home. It’s an oasis of tranquillity in the middle of Marrakech’s beautiful chaos. The rooms are beautifully decorated, spacious, and very comfortable, and the terrace offers a stunning view over the Medina. But the real highlight is the people. Marie, the loveliest host, along with Abdullah and the rest of the team, including an exceptional chef who prepared the most delicious dinner we had in town, go above and beyond to make your stay unforgettable. Their tips and warmth make leaving that much harder

The breakfast was great each morning and the staff were so lovely. The tea and juices were great and they were very accommodating when we asked to have breakfast earlier one of the days than the timings of breakfast they provided. Abdul and Mohammed were so nice and friendly and were helpful with any questions we had. They also sorted out our spa treatments last minute. The owner Oliver was also present and so friendly and accommodating too! The property is so beautiful and the terrace is so lovely if you want to bask in the sun.

Everything was perfect- location was central but tucked away enough that it was dead quiet at night. I had a full day to kill before a midnight flight and they were so accommodating and let me hang out and use the pool during the sweatiest hours. It was such a great experience. I'm already looking at booking again for September.

Good location, near centre. Nice cats in the courtyard. The staff were nice.
Cons: No locks on the bedroom door, so you can't lock your room when you go out for the day. There is a small safe but not attached to the wall so you could pick it up easily and walk out with it. We ended up hiding passports elsewhere in the room. This is very unusual and the staff seemed confused that this was an issue. Hard to find the riad on arrival. The riad is pretty basic inside. It's fine, but I have stayed in much nicer riads in Marrakech before for the same price. I wouldn't recommend it.

Wonderful, quiet Riad in a perfect location, handy for the main square but not too close, and right by all the leatherwork, woodwork, carpet and metalwork souks, and the spice market. Staff were so friendly and helpful throughout my stay, and the food in the Riad was delicious. My room was spacious, comfortable and spotlessly clean. The air conditioning included a heating function which was necessary in December. I will definitely stay here again when I return to Marrakesh.
Cons: The entrance was very difficult to find on arrival in the dark - slightly brighter text on the sign would be useful. (The pin on Google maps isn't quite where the entrance is - see photo of entrance gate.)

The whole trip was appalling due to the dreadful dangerous bathrooms. The floors were like ice rinks with with no warning notices, one inadequate mat. I had a very dangerous slip backwards because of the highly slippery floors and smashed my head on the side of the solid stone shower wall. I had a bad head injury. No ambulance could reach the Riad. I had blood pouring out of my head wound. One of the female staff the cook clearly had no first aid training. She just pressed a towel on my head which hurt and then proceeded to haul me to my feet. I was traumatised told to dress and then à 10 minute walk through the medina to the taxi and 20 minutes to the hospital. The medics were excellent. But this happened on the morning of our first full day the rest of the time I had to rest. I had 7 stitches, à tetanus jab and a ct scan. We had to miss our dinner and dessert trip. The entire visit was a surprise birthday treat for my husband and was a disaster. If this Riad was in the UK it would be closed down by now pending a serious health and safety investigation. The place is a fatal accident waiting to happen. I asked for the accident book to recurs it and then don’t have one. I am amazed anyone would want to stay here. We paid for a first class accommodation and have returned home having to cancel work and another holiday as I need to rest and recover. We will be writing to the owner to claim a considerable sum from their insurers. I would not advise anyone to stay at this place.
Cons: See above.

I could not recommend this Riad more when staying in Marrakech. The location is amazing in the old town with a short walk to most things within it. The staff are the most welcoming and friendly it almost felt like home. They were so helpful when giving tips and advice and even showed us around the area when we were after certain things. Cons: Would have been good to know you have to have cash to pay the porter from the taxi to the hotel ( we came straight from the airport and didn't realise that there was porter and didn't have any cash ) Bed was really comfortable but no space to get in it from the side - so cool if you're the athletic type.

The staff were so friendly and helpful. We felt really well looked after, from collecting & taking us to drop off points, recommending restaurants, arranging transport, giving tips on best times to visit places and even going out and buying more of the wine that we liked. Cons: The staff in night shift didn't pick us because he was busy with other guests. Therefore we need to take our luggage and lost in the town for 1 hour. It shouldn't happen only because we didn't use their transportation survives. Plus we booked twin beds and give us one double bed. They said we didn't told them before. This showed in the booking page. It's not our fault.

I visited with my daughter in October. The riad is beautiful and is a little tranquil oasis in the hustle and bustle of the medina. The staff went out of their way to look after us and made us feel so at home. We had dinner on the terrace the first night and it was honestly the best meal we had during our entire trip! Also book a massage and hamam, it’s amazing and after walking around the city for days a truly refreshing and reviving experience. Chama is a skilled masseuse and I would say among the top 10 I’ve experienced!

Trappenhuizen slecht verlicht. Theeglas en beker naast wastafel met barsten. Bekleding fauteuil versleten, beddelaken met gaatje. Bloemvazen met verlepte rozen op meerdere plekken. Houten deurluiken die niet sluiten. Electriciteit viel urenlang uit. Daarna was mijn telefoon oplader stuk.

Superb location of the hotel, close to the soucs, but calm in same time. Pretty place with nice personal.
Cons: I think that the pool is a bit small (looks at least smaller than on photo), and price is overestimated with its conditions

This riad was an exquisite, hidden oasis. Staff were extremely welcoming, kind, and helpful. Mohssine kindly gave us his WhatsApp contact in case we needed assistance while out in the medina. Riad was spotless and everything about it was beautiful. Excellent breakfast served in the lovely courtyard. Excellent communication in advance of our arrival. Escorted to our car at the end of our stay.

Incredible riad located in the medina. Not only is the location perfect the riad is unbelievable. From the moment you are greeted from Mohssine with a local Moroccan Tea after meeting you at the taxi which the riad arrange for you to make sure you do not get lost. We had a suite on the ground floor that opened into courtyard, traditional but modern and exceptional clean. Breakfast was outstanding as was the rooftop pool and loungers. Nothing is too much trouble. There is no doubt we will book to stay here when we return to Marrakech!

We had the best time staying at Riad Hirondelles. Everything exceeded our expectations - beautiful interiors, great rooftop area, stunning courtyard to have breakfast every morning and a great location in the heart of the medina making it easy to get to everything on foot. But what makes Riad Hirondelles so special is all the people working there - we felt so at home, welcome and looked after. They gave us great recommendations and helped with anything and everything we needed during our stay. We were so sad to leave and we’re already planning our next trip back! Thank you y hasta la próxima Abdou, Mohsine, Marie, Pierre and the rest of the team (plus the cats!). Hala Madrid!! Ella and Borja xx

This is the perfect riad to stay in Marrakech. Recommend it to anyone. The venue itself is beautiful, well laid out and clean. The rooms have a wonderful local character. The courtyard is perfect for breakfast and a late evening relax, and the pool and rooftop are perfect for getting the sun in. You would never know there is a vibrant world outside - the riad blocks out all the noise. The service is 5 star as well. The staff are always on hand to help. Special mention to Mohssine who met us from our drop off, and also us took us back to our taxi on leaving. During our stay he was the perfect host, helping so much and making sure we had the best stay. I cannot praise the staff enough.

Location: The location is great, it's very central and you can get to most sightseeing places by foot within 30 minutes. Nevertheless inside it is super quiet even though it's very lively and loud outside. Hotel/Riad: It is very quiet and it's done nicely. The courtyard is nice and comfy and they have a little pool on the rooftop. Breakfast is fine, same one like in any other riad, nothing special. For the price we paid we expected a better condition of the rooms. Our room was extremely humid (even though we aired after every shower and used AC) and started smelling after few hours. The walls in the room are humid and the paint was peeling and falling off. It is a no go for over 140 Eur per night. Personal: The staff is very helpful and nice, at least the majority of them. Few people didn't speak even a word of English so sometimes you had to wait for the manager or one of the other guys. They helped us with the ideas what to see and how to get there and also organized transportation for us when needed. Parking: Even though it says on Expedia that there is parking, this is not really the truth. There are some private parking lots about 10 minutes from the riad where you can leave the car for 7.50 Eur per night but you'll have to leave the keys with them. We did this as there is no other choice and everything went fine. However, Expedia should correct the information on the availability and price of the parking.

This was really one of our best experiences. Abdul and his team are AMAZING! The Riad is the Medina, very close to everything; it's beautiful, quiet and with an amazing garden and terrace with swimming pool. The breakfast was home made and delicious and last night we also had dinner, It was amazing. But above all the difference is the incredible kindness of Abdul. Thanks again for the amazing stay.
Cons: Lasted too little!

Had the pleasure of staying here for 3/4 nights. Marie who owns the Riad could not be more welcoming and gave us plenty of great suggestions and was lovely to speak to. Breakfast is fairly basic but delicious and freshly made - can’t really go wrong here. Don’t expect options but the menu changes every day and for the price of the stay cannot fault the value at all. The team were mostly very helpful and accommodating. Location perfect
Cons: The entry to the Riad was dependent on a member of staff being present to let you in - which on occasion (in the evening) was not the case and required a bit of orchestrating with staff who were not on shift via WhatsApp to get someone to go back to the Riad. The area felt safe and it was never an issue for anyone so only a minor inconvenience

Tranquility tucked neatly amidst the hustle and bustle of the Medina. Marie and Abdul were extremely kind in giving us advices and recommendations in navigating the Medina (especially for good food) which has highly appreciated. The room we had had a refined homey finish unlike some other riads we stayed that were put together without much thought unlike as advertised. What you see is what you get with this riad, amazing room, good WiFi, hot shower, and a nice breakfast. Would definitely come back!

The property is beautiful, the owner has such an eye for interior design. The interior is stunning, the rooms have real character and the roof terrace is amazing with a lovely pool. The staff were incredibly kind and caring. They met us at the taxi and helped us with our bags and nothing was ever too much trouble. Mohammed was particularly kind and even made my girlfriend a special herb tea when she wasn’t feeling well. Every evening after exploring when we got back to the hotel there was tea offered which was such a nice touch. There are also two very sweet cats who live in the Riad who are worth saying hello to. The property is also in the most central location and everything is really easy to walk to. Also everyday we came back to our room to a spotless room with a perfectly made bed- the housekeeping services were amazing. I can’t recommended this Riad enough and you can even see the Atlas Mountains from the terrace!
Cons: The only thing I can think of and this is if I’m being really picky is that the water in the pool was quite cold and we had to run the shower in our room for a few minutes before it got hot. However, these are so minute and do not warrant any consideration when you book.

This riad is exceptionally well located, right in the heart of the Medina. Unbeatable. Despite its central location, it's quiet and there's a lot of privacy. There are some adorable cats roaming around which will keep you company while reading a book under the beautiful citrus trees or resting in any of the nicely decorated common areas on the ground floor. The staff is resourceful and always smiling, plus they made us feel truly welcome with jokes and much-needed tips about the city. They even helped organise a birthday surprise for my boyfriend, which was really appreciated (and well received!). The tajine with prunes is a must-try! Finally, the rooms are large and beautifully furnished with typical Moroccan garments, rugs and pillows. The beds are super comfortable too!
Cons: Sadly, we didn't feel like this riad fully lived up to the expectations (especially as it's supposed to be a boutique hotel). Some details e.g. replacing plastic bottles at dinner with glass ones, changing/washing the blanket on top of the duvet (they do this in riad with less stars) and perhaps asking workers to take a break when guests are enjoying the roof would have helped improve the overall experience. We were also not entirely pleased with being charged for a 3-course meal while we had only 2 courses (we thought the last meal, a shared plate with cinnamon-flavoured orange slices was on the house or something like that), although this could have easily been a misunderstanding. The bathroom's small window would benefit from being frosted, to make it more private.

Riad Les Hirondelles is a wonderful Riad with a great location and a cozy, homelike atmosphere. The room was lovely, nicely decorated and very clean. The staff was always very helpful and assisted us with everything we needed. Only two things come in mind as improvement points: 1) The room door could not be locked and the safe in the room didn't work, so we had no place to store our valuables and just had to trust that the other guests won't enter our room. Nothing went missing, luckily. 2) During our 3-night stay, our bedsheets weren't changed once. Considering that this is quite a high-end accommodation in a hot country, I would have appreciated fresh bedsheets at least every other night.

I stayed at Riad Les Hirondelles with my mum and sister and we had an excellent stay there. With a special thanks to Abdul, the manager, who went above and beyond, although the service overall from everyone working there was phenomenal. The Riad itself was beautiful, clean and welcoming. I cannot recommend this Riad highly enough and we would definitely come back to stay here. Les Hirondells was an amazing Riad, hidden away next to a hammam and within 2 minutes walk of the Medrasa Ben Yusuf. You are a 5 minute walk from some great restaurants and 15 mins from the main square, jemaa el-fna. The property is beautiful and made really special by the staff. When we got there, they said welcome home and that's how we were treated. Everyone was respectful and friendly and could not have been more helpful. I would go and stay here again.

Beautiful central garden that was peaceful and quiet away from the heat and bustling souks. There were plenty of places to sit either on the roof terrace or courtyard to enjoy the sun or shade. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful and attentive and went out of their way to ensure every need was met. Breakfast was excellent and the resident chef carefully attended to my husband’s gluten free diet. We pre-ordered dinner one night which was also very good.

All the breakfasts were wonderful. The variety each day was great and we were never hungry. The dinner we had there was the best of all our stay in Marrakesh. Felt very much a guest in a house, not hotel, especially the two cats welcoming us each day. The location was fabulously located and we walked to many places. It was out first time to Marrakech. Because we didn't know where would be a good location, we decide to book two nights at Hirondelles (to the north), and four nights at two other hotels in Marrakech. Two nights to the west of the Medina and two nights to the south East. After all our stays we can safely say that Hirondelles was an ideal location. Quiet street, not busy with mopeds, easy access to the souks. We initially thought that we would want to be near the main square market, but actually it's manic there so we're glad to be away from it all, so to the North of it was ideal. The riad is large and very well maintained. Our room was very comfortable. In the morning there was plenty of light that streamed into out room if we opened the shutters. Unlike other places we stayed that were more cave like, relying on electric lights. We stayed on the 1st floor, called the 'Rossignol suite' The room was large, with a small lounge area. Bed was very comfortable. Personisled service and owner was very welcoming and engaging. Roof top was beautiful. Much better than all other we saw. Overall Hirondelles was our top stay in Marrakech.
Cons: In the room there was a bath, but no plug. We were told that it couldn't be used. We chose the room as it had a bath, so was a bit dissapointing. That said we understand now that water is scarce, so it didn't bother us too much, but would have been good to know that prior. Maybe it was mentioned somewhere but we didn't see it. The bathroom was quiet dark due to the Red Tadelakt finish, even with lights on, but it was nice. The lounge area wasnt very comfortable for lounging. The floor cushions weren't big enough, and the traditional table was more like a bowl, so couldn't really be used as a social point. Side table wobbled. If the room had an easily improveable lounge space it would have been superb. There is no lock on the door, but there is a small safe inside the room you can use. But it wasn't bolted down and could easily be carried off. That said the riad is locked behind a thick wooden door, so the whole hotel is fortress anyway.

This riad is a hidden gem! The owner is so nice and staff all very friendly and professional. The decor and room at this riad is extremely beautiful, room was spacious and clean. The shampoo and hand wash smell so lovely. Super comfortable bed. Rooftop has a small pool, staff can bring you mint tea and you can enjoy by the poolside. They helped us to check in early at 10:45, much appreciated. The Riad is not accessible by car, but staff members can help you with your luggage and booking for taxi to airport. You can walk 2 mins to Ben Youssef Madrasa. We will definitely love to stay again for a longer period of time!

The riad is stunning. There is a beautiful courtyard with two handsome cats, and the rooms are wonderful. You could tell that the team had taken their time to choose gorgeous furniture, art and fittings to create an authentic riad atmosphere. There is a lovelty rooftop terrace with views over the medina. The riad serves alcohol. As feedback: breakfast was a little hit and miss. It would have been nice to have ordered from a menu.
Cons: I would urge the owner to introduce some house rules and tell all guests about them. We stayed 5 nights, and on 2 nights guests returned late to the riad, took seats in the courtyard, and spoke and laughed very loudly waking us up. This was well after midnight. Some travellers don't think of others and don't know how to behave, so the riad needs to enforce the right atmosphere. Sound echoes from the courtyard and the rooms have little sound insulation. Each time, we had to get dressed, go downstairs and ask the guests to be quiet. If this issue were fixed, I'd give the riad a 10/10.

Overall the experience was pleasant. The rooms are lovely, the facilities are as expected and the Riad is beautiful. The breakfast was varied and consistently good. Abdul the manager is very helpful and helped us organise tuk-tuks and taxi's etc.
Cons: The main thing that lets the Riad down is the lack of communication. There is no summary of information in the rooms and only 2 staff members speak English/can answer your questions so you have to rely on them, when they are there that is. For instance, we were told that they served dinner, but there was no information about when you could have this, how to organise, what the menu was etc. So you'd have to speak to the manager. I personally think that if this information was written down and in the room more people would eat at the Riad, I never saw anyone eating dinner there.

We booked their airport transfer cab but since the hotel was located at place where car cant go they arranged the location luggage boy. Just during checkin we asked for water on our arrival they didnt inform us its chargable and charged us during our checkout. They didnt inform us that we need to pay him but asked for money once we reached hotel. Our room was at 1st floor so during arrival they helped with luggage but during departure said no one is available to help. The swimming pool was very very bad, it has lot of exposed edges of tiles which caused us lot of cuts and bruises . Wont recommend anyone to use it. The staff was rude they wanted money for everything. We booked massages and was decided that we will pay half money for half time but during checkout they made us pay full amount saying it was a communication gap. We would have used full time or cancelled if we knew that they would charge full only. And massage was pathetic too.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Riad Les Hirondelles with my partner and I must say it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The staff treated us like family, making us feel truly at home throughout our stay. The level of service was impeccable, and I want to extend a special thank you to Abdo, Mouhcine, and Mohammed. These three individuals went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction. Their warmth, professionalism, and genuine care for guests made our stay unforgettable. The boutique hotel itself was stunning, with well-appointed rooms, fantastic amenities, and a beautiful ambiance. Every detail was meticulously taken care of, making our stay both comfortable and luxurious. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a remarkable stay with outstanding service. We can’t wait to return and enjoy this wonderful experience again. Thank you, Abdo, Mouhcine, and Mohammed, for making our visit so special!

A boutique gem offering a taste of exotic Morocco. We loved our room, which featured stunning Moroccan furniture and was both spacious and comfortable. The patio was charming, but our favorite spot was the rooftop terrace. I highly recommend ordering dinner at the Riad—it was delicious. The service was excellent, and we received plenty of helpful advice. The most valuable tip was to ignore people on the streets who claim your Google Maps is wrong, or the street is closed, and offer to guide you another way or show you an exhibition. These individuals will ask for money, and the streets are not actually closed, nor are there exhibitions—just shops. The transfer from the airport was very smooth, and we’re glad we booked it through the Riad. Riad Les Hirondelles is located next to Ben Youssef Medersa, on a quiet street right in the heart of the Medina, surrounded by countless shops and restaurants. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Riad Les Hirondelles!
Cons: The WiFi on the patio and in the surrounding rooms (including ours) was not working. The best WiFi connection we found was on the terrace. This next part isn't related to the Riad but is important to note: When returning to the airport, plan for at least three hours. They stamp boarding passes at the check-in desks, even if you only have carry-on luggage. There are huge queues at both the check-in desks and passport control.

Beautiful little riad in an excellent location. Right next to Ben Youssef madrassa. It was close to get to the souks and Jema Al-Fena square. The staff were wonderful and always on hand to help with anything. They were able to call a tuktuk service if we couldn’t walk far.

In the heart of the Marrakesh medina, behind a nondescript entranceway, lies an oasis of comfort far from the maddening crowds and tumult of the medina. Friendly staff are always available, breakfasts are just the right to start the day's excursions on a happy belly, rooms are comfy, there is a soaking pool on a rooftop terrace, and only minutes to several highlights of the medina.

We had an amazing stay at the Riad Les Hirondelles. Our room and indeed, the entire place, is tastefully decorated in a style sympathetic to Moroccan culture, with a chic modern edge. We stayed in a split level room, with our bed on a mezzanine and it was beautiful. Comfortable and cool all day. Our room was turned down every day and it was lovely to return to a clean and respectfully attended space after the mania of the souks and medina. Breakfast is served in the courtyard each morning (but I’m sure if you request to take it on one of the many terraces, the staff would oblige) and it was delicious and bountiful! Cakes, breads, eggs, yoghurt, coffee, mint tea, freshly squeezed juice! Everyone who worked at the riad we found to be kind and attentive. They couldn’t be more helpful with recommendations and directions, our every request or question was met with a smile and a suggestion. Talking as if it were to a friend visiting their home. A request for mint tea one afternoon was met with an invitation into the kitchen to learn how it is made the Moroccan way. Standing and chatting around the stove was really very lovely. But they weren’t imposing, in fact the Riad is so calm and quiet, you could almost forget where you are, which is in the very heart of the Medina. The last day of our stay was the first day of Eid and the city was quiet, with many places closed. So we made the most of the facilities at the hotel. Soaking up the sun, cooling off in the plunge pool and dining on the terrace in the evening. The Riad has been tastefully and cleverly renovated to create many different spaces for guests to enjoy, little pockets of privacy with the use of different levels, planting and screens. You really do feel like you have the place to yourself! I would really recommend asking the Riad to arrange your airport transfers. As unless you know the medina, having someone guide you to the door is really quite essential. I can’t recommend this boutique hotel highly enough. We would love to return to Marrakesh just to enjoy their hospitality again!

Whether it is the immensely convenient location, the incredibly quiet rooms, the elegant interior design, the stunning terrace views, or the beautiful breakfasts that change daily, there is much to really love about Riad des Hirondelles. But what lifts this delightful boutique hotel from great to exceptional is its extraordinary people. Marie (the owner), Abtou (the manager), Mohsin (the night manager) and all the staff are as warm as they are delightful, all of them going out of their way at to make our trip a truly memorable one. You could decide that it’s the central location that makes this place exceptional. Or maybe its elegant design. Or its quiet and comfortable rooms.. Or the stunning mountain views from its beautiful rooftop terrace. Or the gorgeous breakfasts served each morning in its lush courtyard. And you would be right. But what really makes this an unbeatable home from home is Marie (the owner), Abtou, (the manager), Mohsin (the night manager) and all the staff whose genuine warmth and incredible hospitality take this Riad from really great to truly outstanding.

We spent in the Riad 2 nights of our stay in Marrakech. The Riad is beautiful and the structure is well kept and looked after. The on site staff is welcoming and nice. Breakfast was beautiful and served in a lovely way. Unfortunately the 1st morning we woke up there was no water (not hot nor cold). I appreciate the staff said this was a problem affecting the entire city (which I don't know if it is true as in other places we went to visit there was) however it was extremely disappointing to see the riad had no plan B. For more than £140 per night I would expect to be able to at least brush our teeth and have a shower. I work in the hospitality industry as well, and if your guests cannot sleep or shower you should for the night being this the bare minimum. We managed to have a shower only after 2 nights in Marrakech which was a major inconvenience and yet the water was not clear. Cleanliness was disappointing regarding the table cloth, water glasses and cuttlery during our dinner and the glass bottle in the room could not be used as there were rusty signs on the internal part of the bottle cap. Unfortunately no sort of compensation for the major inconvenience experienced was offered.

The by far best thing about this Riad is the Hosts. We felt comfortable and attended to. The bed was very comfortable and cozy. The heating works well and the rooftop is pretty and comfortable. We also had a nice dinner and communication was uncomplicated, incredibly friendly and helpful.

My family of four stayed at Riad Les Hirondelles Boutique Hotel for two nights. Since the initial booking, communication was excellent. Marie is just wonderful - helpful and responsive. The riad exceeded expectations. We loved the quiet courtyard, with plenty of space to sit and enjoy a cup of tea or just read, listening to the chirping of the birds. The dining area is spacious and we never felt like there was no space. While the riad was fully booked, we didn't feel there were other people. Very nice and quiet. No noise during the day or at night, from other guests or the street. Abdou was very helpful and was always available to answer our questions and help. Breakfast is delicious. Loved the omelet with veggies in the morning. The location is fantastic. Now that I have been to Marrakech, I would not want to stay too close to the main square. The location was safe and the street well lit.
Cons: The only issue we had was that one of the sinks was not draining but we didn't even mention it to the management. We were very happy to use the second sink in the bathroom.

We felt welcomed and well looked after throughout our stay. The staff were helpful and friendly without being pushy and any requests were answered promptly. They were also helpful in making suggestions about how to get to where we needed to go. We had a good breakfast each day which set us up well for a good day's sightseeing! The hotel itself was remarkably quiet, given that we were in the medina, the only disturbance really being the amplified muezzin which you would hear anywhere in town. The location was excellent, very close to the Medersa Ben Youssef. The photos are of the Medersa Ben Youssef, and the view from the terrace of the Atay Cafe, so very similar to the terrace views at the riad.
Cons: A very small point, but better towel rails so our towels dried more quickly. Otherwise everything worked exceptionally well.

Abdou the manager was amazing and on arrival gave us tea and showed us different points of interest on a map where was best to see around marrakech and offered help finding the riad if we were ever lost in the busy streets and souks. The rooftop was lovely to sit at in the evening to soak up the last remaining sun of the day. The free breakfast was lovely and great way to start the day!
Cons: The backstreets heading back to the riad could be confusing the first couple of nights and we had an incident with a local on the way back at night, so just keep your wits about you walking back through the back streets. There was no lock on our door when you leave the room (there is one to lock yourself in) and this felt a bit worrying leaving all of our stuff in the room unlocked (although everything was fine with 24hr staff presence). The pool had a layer of something like dirt and some bugs so we didn’t use it but it would be good if it was kept a bit better as we wanted to go in but didn’t feel great with the water.

Great location right in the centre of the medina but still very calm and quiet. The staff are absolutely wonderful and can’t do enough to help ensure you have a good stay. The food is plentiful (too much for me to get through!) with a different breakfast ever day, and the dinner is well worth staying there for one night; was the best meal I had in Marrakech.

Beautiful, spacious rooms with lovely decor in the heart of the Medina! We only spent one night at the Riad, but the owner and his wife greeted us—they were very very lovely. 🫶🏼
Cons: Rooms are right off of the main lounge / restaurant / kitchen area. It wasn’t loud when we were there, but if there were many guests staying at the same time, that may be a consideration. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and had an amazing time in Marrakech. I was looked after by my two favourite staff Mohssaine and Abdou on arrival, nothing was ever too much, they were both helpful and friendly throughout my stay. The Riad is close enough to all the hustle and bustle of market stalls and places to eat but also quiet once you get inside and want to relax. It's well-decorated with a rooftop pool and terrace where you can have a drink, chill and enjoy the sunshine/sunset. The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The air con was effective and would highly recommend anyone stay here.
Cons: The only negative point was I had arranged a transfer to collect me from the airport and this was confirmed, but seemed there was some confusion on who and how many were being picked up as there was another party also staying and had arrived on a different flight to mine. It was all sorted once the driver had clarified this with the host but did mean I was waiting around for a bit.

To begin with, the Riad (clay homes, as they are called here) is located literally in the centre of the Medina, the old town. The hotel greets you with the magic of changing the ambiance: to reach it you have to walk through a couple of crowded, loud, sometimes filthy streets, turn into a dark corridor and press the doorbell. Then you teleport into the most tranquile place in the whole Marrakesh: a silent beautiful garden with high walls, protecting you from the blazing sun. An unprecedentedly hospitable manager then greets you and offers to taste the local tea — a fantastic herbal mint drink, while checking you in. And then comes the room, made in a genuine Moroccan style, but with absolutely modern materials. The stay becomes even more comfortable and convenient as you start realising that you live in the very centre of the city, in absolute proximity to all market merchants, main square and the well-renowned landmarks, such as the two mosques, Silent garden, palaces and many more. Finally, a fascinating breakfast will end your stay, featuring light-weight morrocan delights and the essential tea.
Cons: If you reject any hotel style other than the modern European, I wouldn’t even come to Morocco. You won’t find what you’re looking for. However, if you really feel something about the local culture, the vividness of the narrow roads, take a room in Riad des Hirondelles, and you will fall in love with the city. There does not exist literally anything weird about the hotel.

We stayed at a few different riads in Morocco but this one definitely stood out. Our room was extremely comfortable and spacious. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was by far the best compared to other places where we stayed.

Beautiful riad with a beautiful patio Very well located Nice and friendly welcome
Cons: It ended up well but we were not told about the fact that the gate would be closed when we would be back from dinner. So when we came back after the dinner, we were basically locked outside. We had to open the data on our phone to try and get the number of the riad to finally speak with someone who came and opened the gate. but as there is a phone network problem in the riad, it created a bit of stress for us as we thought we were locked out at almost midnight. As said, it ended up well, but I would advise to make sure all the guests are informed about this gate to avoid any stress.

Very well located, close to good restaurants and just a minute walk from Ben Youssef Medersa. Nice breakfast and a very cool rooftop. The staff was all very helpfull and we must thank to Marie (the owner) for helping us find an alternative when our flight was canceled.

The location of the riad was fab! We are big foodies and their were so many top rated places to eat nearby! It was really authentic and the breakfast provided each morning was varied and so tasty! Abdul was a fab host and so helpful throughout our stay.
Cons: We were on the ground floor by the courtyard so it was quite noisy! Also lack of extraction for shower/ toilet but we wanted to stay somewhere with character (Riad had loads of this) and that comes hand in hand with this so we weren’t bothered!

Riad is another world once you step in. It is clean and well maintained. Rooms are as pictured. Best part of this place is the staff. Mohsin, Mohammed and Abdou go all out to help you with any request. We had an issue with our driver refusing to drop us off closer to the riad. Abdou sent Mohammed a long way out to come pick us up. It is so kind of them to help us. Breakfast is pretty good and filling. Just to note, it is not a traditional Moroccan breakfast. Overall, will stay here if ever I come back to Marrakech!
Cons: 1. 25 MAD for a 2 liter water bottle that costs 6 MAD right outside the riad? I should have asked for the price (and that is on me). But I was tired and did not think it would be 4x. 2. Easy to miss the entrance of the hotel in the night. Better lighting would have been nice.

We loved this place so much! The staff was amazing and gave us personal care, the room was beautiful and comfortable, the breakfast and dinner was tasty. They also have a lovely playful cat. It was veery close to the main square, aomw attractions and good restaurants, We had such a great time and we really felt at home. Highly recommended!!
Cons: The location in the medina can be tough because there is no car acces, but the riad team make up for it and made sure someone will carry out luggage.

Almost everything! Very friendly and helpful staff, lovely interiors emphasizing simple and elegant design. A white backdrop with subtle details, perhaps Nordic minimalism inspired. Mohammed and Mohsin were both kind and generous in their hospitality and helped us also with dinner reservation at Kui-Zin. This restaurant was one the best we tried in Marrakech.
Cons: nothing to complain about

This hotel offers a truly great escape from the noisy dusty Medina of Marrakech. Marie and Abdou make this riad special with the level of service they offer. Riad yard and rooms were thought through to little details. Breakfast is traditional and has a personal touch. The rooftop is pleasant to be in.
Cons: Rooms can not be locked as they don't have locks, which is an issue for some, including us, however, this was not an issue in the end and added some new emotions to experience of staying here.

Riad's Team was extremely friendly and helpful. Hotel is nicely furnished and the attention to detail is clearly visible. Very beautiful rooftop terrace and lush green patio.
Cons: Breakfast was fresh, but consisted mainly of sweet products, which I personally try to aviod. Nevertheless, it was tasty and staff tried to do everything to make the breakfast nice.

The staff were very friendly and gave some good tips for local things to do and watch out for. The food was great and the location was really good.
Cons: There wasn't much that we didn't like, if we had to try and find something we would say that there were no locks on the doors but this wasn't a problem for us, or there was no privacy to the bathroom, however half way through our stay a curtain appeared for a bathroom door, maybe it was just forgot for the beginning of our stay.

From the moment we got there to the moment we left, nothing but excellent service. They made us feel like family. Any time I wanted mint tea they always delivered it. Helped make our holiday more special!! The staff are both a credit and asset to Les Hirondelles. Massive Shout out to Mehssen and Abdou, the most welcoming and lovely people I've ever come across!!! I know next time I visit this will be the only place I'd prefer to stay at. The facilities were brilliant, the riad was fantastic and not a single fault with anything. I would recommend the junior suite over any of the rooms there. Both hosts were so helpful, they took us to a restaurant and picked us up after just because we got lost. Abdou bought us a present to take back home. HONESTLY this review doesn't do the place justice, just trust me when I say anyone that stays here will have an unforgettable experience.

The rooms are excellent, spacious, very comfortable and clean. The breakfast was also great, on time, well prepared. Special thanks to Mohssine, and as well to the other staff members, who were always available, creative and flexible in finding quick solutions to unexpected situations that arose. They were also very helpful with planning and reliable organisation for leaving and returning to the city. Thank you all, and we hope one day to return. The guests at Riad Les Hirondelles are in good hands!

Very clean, friendly welcome, comfortable beds, pretty house, good location as easy to ask for merdessa Ben Yousef. Copious breakfast. quiet , reasonable prices. Staff were good and wanted to be helpful. Given upgrade after realised our bed would be awkward for our age.
Cons: Their driver dropped us 10 min walk from riad and 15 min walk at end of stay. Carrying my luggage. Other roads had carts. Breakfast could get a bit monotonous. It was January so cold in room though there was heating, .but everywhere was designed for the heat.

We couldn’t fault the Riad at all - we had an excellent stay! The property was spacious & clean with exceptional views from the rooftop. Breakfast was tasty and varied each day. However, by far the best aspect of the property was the staff - they were welcoming, chatty, offered extremely helpful advice/ recommendations, and were focused on ensuring we had a great time in Marrakech

The staff at the riad are amazing and it was really wonderful to get to know them. The breakfast was tasty and plentiful and all the communal areas are relaxing. Also a treat to have electric blankets - great for January weether which can be a bit cool at night.
Cons: The furniture could do with an upgrade in the basic room ( the clothes drawer and chairs break easily). There is also not enough hot water to fill the bath

Very nice people and service.
Cons: We have booked two suites, the one in second floor has very small windows so the room is very dark. And the one in the first floor faces a bit more noises. I think the Riad is very clean, but I don’t feel like sitting on the pillows on the ground because of the carpet. Consider the price, location and breakfast here, and compare to other Riad we have stayed in Medina, I have to say it’s a bit over priced.

Lovely Riad, tastefully furnished. The staff are wonderful and nothing is too much trouble. Special thanks to Mohssine and Abdoul for taking such good care of us, including booking a dessert outing. Keep up the kick-boxing Mohssine and stay off the motorbikes! Also lovely to be greeted by the charming owner, Marie, who took us for a short stroll on our first day through the medina to help with orientation. Fantastic evening meal, the best tagine we had during our whole stay (and we sampled a few!)
Cons: I'm providing a bit of constructive feedback in the hope that it is helpful to Marie and team to fine tune the experience for others. The beds are definitely on the firm side, too firm for our liking. I'm not sure if this is the norm for the Marrakesh, but perhaps it would be helpful to state this in the hotel description, or offer some choice of firm / soft depending on the room? We would have preferred more variation for breakfast, especially fresh fruit which is abundant throughout the medina so I would think this is an easy thing to address. We stayed for only 3 nights so it didn't bother us too much, but had we stayed for longer we'd probably have skipped it and eaten out instead. Finally, our stay was early Jan which is one of the coldest months of the year - 20C during the day but then as low as 5 or 6 late evening and early morning. Rooms have aircon so no problem there, but in communal areas you need to rely on portable heaters which weren't very powerful. Breakfast and dinner is served in the lounge and a nice touch would be for the staff to switch on the heaters a little while before guests sit down or invest in more powerful heaters. Either solution would avoid needing to wear a coat !

Cons: What could have been a great experience turned into a nightmare. A beautiful riad with very helpful and friendly staff. unfortunately the riad accepts children and what was expected of a few days of rest became a heavy one with children screaming and running around the riad all morning since 8 am. Although noise is a theme in all riads, respect from guests is key. the staff was unable to deal with the matter. being the medina confusing and noisy, the riad is expected to be an escape to relax and in this case it was the opposite.

We had an amazing time at Riad Les Hirondelles! The Riad is in a great location to explore the city on foot. Our room and the hotel in general is beautifully furnished. However, it was the staff (Abdou, Mouhssine and the lovely women in the kitchen) that made our stay truly outstanding. They were beyond helpful and attentive, knowing great restaurants and the best places to see. Being from Marrakesh, they gave us helpful insights and a glimpse into Morrocan culture. We would always come back to Riad Les Hirondelles.

We are travelling from Canada and stayed at this riad for 3 night for our honeymoon. We absolutely loved it! Everything from the riad property itself to the staff were incredible. The hospitality was amazing- they were very helpful by giving us advice on where to go and what to watch out for. They even helped us locate good quality products (in our case shoes) so ensure we got good value for our money. The staff went above and beyond our expectations. We arranged a transfer from the airport through them, and we would recommend this as the riad would likely have been hard to find by ourselves the first time. Rooms were very clean and comfortable, and the food was amazing. Every morning we enjoyed a delicious Moroccan style breakfast on the rooftop. We had fresh orange juice, tea, etc at any time we wanted just by asking the riad staff. We did find out they offer delicious meals and cooking classes which we would love to try on our next visit! We would definitely return the next time we’re in Morocco.

Absolutely lovely property, couldn’t ask for more and the photos don’t do it justice. What really makes a difference though are the fabulous people. Everyone goes out of their way to make the stay exceptional, to ensure you have the best possible holiday. The food is wonderful whether breakfast in the courtyard or dinner on the rooftop. Absolutely wonderful hotel - wouldn’t stay anywhere else if we return to Marrakech
Cons: Nothing - it’s a lovely lovely place.

Riad les hirondelles gets inside the art of travelers with amazing design instincts by creating a perfect combination of home and relax. It's a place where everything is reduced to its essentials: bathrooms in tadelaakt walls and ceramic floors, beds are in white fine cotton blankets. Riad les hirondelles is a deep-dive into all the possibilities of crayons colours and beige palette with comfy beds, Berber rugs and stylish seating areas arranged around the courtyard garden. Me and my sister traveled there in early September when the days were a sunny and late summer-like 28 degrees. We had breakfast and a fine dinner on the outdoor large terrace, with an extraordinary view over the medina roofs. We had a mint tea in the openair sitting room in the riad’s internal courtyard warmed by a welcoming team of moroccan employees (thanks again Abdoul Walid et Moussine). The pool corner on the rooftop is the ideal place to retreat to at the end of the evening and listen to the muezzin (call to prayer), have a dinner or simply gaze the stars of the moroccan sky.

The riad was very comfortable and clean! The free breakfast provided everyday was delicious, we also had a meal at the riad which was amazing too! The riad managers were so helpful, accommodating and really made us feel at home, giving us advice on tourist attractions and booking excursions too. The riad is in a great location close enough to the souks and the centre. Definitely highly recommend!

Beautifully restored Riad in a quiet part of the Medina made wonderful by the lovely and very helpful staff Abdou and Mouassine. The interior design is very stylish and there is a useful small plunge pool on the roof for cooling down in the summer as well as efficient aircon. The central courtyard is a haven with a delightful kitten as a bonus! We had a really delicious meal on the roof terrace on our first night too as good as the Medina's best restaurants.

Staff were really attentive and kind. Many thanks to Abdou. The room was spacious and very clean. The Riad itself is quiet and calm and beautifully decorated. Plunge pools are a nice addition. The AC was very welcome in the August heat of 46 degrees celsius.
Cons: - The toilet for my room was outside the actual room. While I had a bathroom with a bath/shower and sink, the actual toilet was across the hall. I feel this needs to be mentioned at the time of booking. This is NOT the same for all rooms/suites but I did get the room with the toilet across the hall so I would have to out a dressing gown on to leave my room to visit the toilet. - The rooms doors don't have locks; while I didn't have an issue with this; some people might. I did ensure to lock away personal items- jewellery etc. - Breakfast consisted of bread, cake, juice and coffee (with jam, honey and butter). An omelette was offered on one day. Some variety could be added through the addition of fruit I believe and more eggs.

The Riad is well situated in the Medina the way you can reach any place of interest in the area within a short time. The whole staff is super friendly and courteous, and they do their best to enable you a nice and relaxing stay at the Riad. The cleanliness is excellent as well as they service. The owner Pierre was very lovely and helpful and provided us with all relevant information about our stay in Marrakech. We were very satisfied with our choice and enjoyed the beautiful room and terrace.
