This was a last minute booking for one of my clients who decided to join us a week before departure, I needed a nearby hotel as the hotel I had booked was full and this Riad was 30 seconds walk from our hotel and had good reviews. And this was the best surprise of our trip, everything was absolutely fantastic. As we arrived, we were greated by the loveliest man in the little office on the right, he was very helpful, very smilly and very genuine unlike the people in the hotel I was in. He gave us this welcoming and trustworthy vibe. He spoke both a very good English and a very good French. Check in took less than 5 minutes. He helped us filling the forms and showed my client to her room. The room, actually the suite, was magnifiscent, modern and clean. It was large, it had its own little yard, a modern tv with I think Amazon or something like that and a living room that could accomodate a few people. The street was a minute walk from the main boulevard but as it was in a small side street, had no noise whatoever and my client was delighted. They went above and beyond, we had to leave early one day and they let her have breakfast 30 minutes early. There was also a very lovely young man who seemed to be guarding the entrance who was also the most welcoming every time I would pick my client up. He was sat at the table outside the main door most of the time. Sorry I forgot their names, both of them were an absolute delight, and I am picky... I will definitely go back with my clients on my next visit to Marrakesh. I have to apologise as I wanted to leave a tip on the last day but I did not have time to go back as we had a busy schedule so I will need to leave a larger tip on my next visit. If you do not know where to stay, do not hesitate to book this Riad, I travel for a living and this is one of the greatest hotels I have had on my worldwide trips. My client also mentioned the cleaners and breakfast lady who were an absolute delight! Thank you so much everyone

breakfast was outside. it was windy and raining. the food was acceptable.

Cons: the hotel was not attended when I arrived. It took over 1 hour wait till somebody showed up to open the office. I was under the impression that the taxes were included in the price I paid. He made me pay 25 Dirhams for a room tax. There was no airport shuttle. I had to pay a taxi. There was no elevator. I am 73 years old and I had to walk up the stairs on the 2nd floor. A couple of hours after I settled into the room there was a knock on the door. There were 2 men who told me that I was in the wrong room. They showed me a room thar was another level up with a queen size bed ( I booked a king size bed ). They hustled my luggage out to the new room despite my plea that it was too many steps (counted 50 stairs )

Die Lage in gueliz ist gut, es gibt viele gute Restaurants in der Nähe.

Cons: Badezimmer ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Es roch muffig aus dem Abfluss. Das Sofa war fleckig und nicht sauber. Rezeption war quasi nie besetzt und die Kommunikation via WhatsApp hat zwar funktioniert, allerdings merkte man deutlich, dass die Nachrichten nur über einen Übersetzer gingen und daher Details oft verloren gingen. Auch das Frühstück war okay aber ganz bestimmt nichts besonderes.

It’s roomy as it had a separate bedroom

Cons: Dingy linens and towels. Old couches I’m sitting room. Dirty grout lines. Terrace was not as expected- very dated chairs and tables and no view. No one at front desk most of the time. This is not a nice riad. No greeting with tea and cookies like we’ve had at others. The location is okay but a little off the main road so hard to find. It is a quiet area though. Breakfast lady was very nice and food was typical.

Sehr gute Lage, um die Neustadt zu erkunden. Die Betten waren sehr bequem.

Cons: Wir hatten die Superior Suite für 2 Nächte für 3 Personen gebucht, mussten aber aufgrund eines Buchungsfehlers des Hotels die erste Nacht in 2 Doppelzimmern verbringen. Besonders im Zimmer im Erdgeschoss war die Luft sehr stickig und feucht (kein richtiges Fenster bzw. lies es sich nicht ohne Weiteres öffnen). Beim Umzug in die Suite war unerklärlicherweise das dritte Bett nicht hergerichtet. Auf Nachfrage wurde das Schlafsofa dann zwar sofort mit einem Bettlaken versehen, das Kopfkissen wurde allerdings ohne Bezug übergeben und es gab kein Laken zum Zudecken. Zum Glück konnten wir uns selbst behelfen. Darüber hinaus sind die Zimmer eigentlich nicht schlecht in Größe und Ausstattung und scheinbar noch nicht so alt, jedoch ist der Erhaltungszustand extrem schlecht und schmuddelig, viel Rost und Schimmel in den Duschen, schmutzige Möbel, Bettwäsche zum Teil fleckig (in allen drei Zimmern, die wir genutzt haben). Das marokkanische Frühstück hatte den üblichen Umfang aber hat extrem schlecht geschmeckt. Wir haben am zweiten Tag darauf verzichtet. Insgesamt kann ich die vielen guten Bewertungen hier überhaupt nicht nachvollziehen.

We really enjoyed our stay. The breakfast is a typical Moroccan one lots of pastries, bread, and sweets. But if you ask, they’ll happily make you porridge, eggs, or yogurt. The staff are very friendly and responsive, communication was excellent. The hotel is in a great location close to everything, yet very quiet. Good soundproofing. Wi-Fi was stable, the bed was comfortable, and the air conditioning worked perfectly.

Cons: If your room is on the top floor, keep in mind that the terrace where breakfast is served is right outside your window, and the staff start preparing around 7:30 a.m. Some minor things could use a bit of maintenance like the wardrobe, the shower door, and the towel hook, but it didn’t bother us much. It’s quite typical for Morocco.

Nos deram um upgrade e nosso quarto era absolutamente incrível. Estávamos exaustos, em fim de viagem e foi o melhor presente: muito espaço com uma varadinha muito charmosa pra relaxar e sala de TV. Cama enorme, muito confortável. Ótimas instalações e esta localizado num bairro que você tem muitos restaurantes, cafés e mercados próximos.

Cons: Uma questão na comunicação nos frustrou um pouquinho: nos disseram que o café podia ser servido no quarto ou no terraço, então pedimos no quarto, nos confirmaram que havia sido pedido e depois de muita espera nos informaram que precisava ir ao terraço solicitar no quarto (depois de esperar a manhã inteira e quase perder a hora do café) Acho que servir o café no quarto é uma opção extremamente cômoda e teria sido ótimo comer nossa varanda mas nem pensaríamos nessa opção se não nos oferecessem. Então se isso não é uma opção que você pode fazer na recepção, sugiro que não ofereçam pq não faz sentido ir até o terraço pra descer e esperar, melhor comer por lá.

Unkomplizierte Anreise mitten in der Nacht in dem kleinen süßen Riad mit äußerst freundlichem und hilfsbereitem Personal am Empfang, das Zimmer sauber und komfortabel - man hat alles was man braucht. Das Frühstück auf der Dachterrasse war simpel, typisch marokkanisch, sehr lecker und auch der Service war hervorragend. Nachts hat man in den Straßen neben an noch was leckeres Essen können. La ubicacion en el barrio nuevo de Marrakech es perfecta, muy cerca de la estacion lo que lo convierte en un buen hotel de paso. La limpieza y el alojamiento en si esta genial.

Cons: Nos tocó la habitacion de la ultima planta, al lado de la terraza, el calor era insoportable en agosto y el aire acondicionado no era suficiente para enfriar la habitacion, entiendo que en otra habitacion la estancia hubiera sido mejor. Pedimos un ventilador para poder aligerar el calor pero no nos lo pudieron faciltar. El baño estaba tupido y la ducha se echarcaba.

To our surprise and delight we were given an upgrade and the room was even nicer than the first. The staff were really friendly, and if you’re worried about the heat the air conditioner is great. We loved this property. It was really clean and comfortable, the shower was the best we’d had during our month in Morocco. The property was easy to find and located within walking distance of restaurants, shopping and for us it was an easy walk to the souk. The staff were really friendly and the breakfast was generous and delicious. We loved our stay so much that we rebooked after our desert adventure.

We had an incredible experience at Riad Douirtna. The location is ideal – right in the heart of the New Town, but still just a short ride away from the Old Town. It’s peaceful, safe, and surrounded by great cafés and local spots. The price-quality ratio is excellent. The room was very clean, beautifully decorated in Moroccan style, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Every morning, we enjoyed a delicious traditional breakfast – fresh bread, olives, fruits, eggs, and amazing Moroccan tea. A perfect way to start the day. But what really made our stay special was the amazing service. Everyone was kind and helpful, and we especially want to thank Willy, who went above and beyond to assist us with everything – from local tips to organizing trips and activities. Nous avons pris des arrangements sur place pour un taxi pour l’aéroport tôt le matin. Service ponctuel.

Cons: Il n’y avait pas d’eau chaude pour la douche en soirée ainsi que le matin. Le petit déjeuner était inclus. On nous avait confirmé la veille la possibilité d’avoir un petit déjeuner d’appoint pour apporter, ce que nous avions confirmer vouloir, vu notre départ très tôt. Malheureusement, cette demande a été oubliée sans disponibilité d’un fruit ou d’un autre produit d’appoint avant de quitter.

This Riad was a perfect place in Marrakech of our mini honey moon. The manager/owner was super helpful and his hospitality was top notch. When we arrived he arranged airport pick up and the suite was decorated romantically with flowers and rose leaves everywhere. Love swan towels on the bed, just beautiful. A perfect warm welcome. It’s a nice Riad not far from the airport and near enough to main sightseeing attractions. We were only there for four days, but they made sure we had a comfortable stay. Even organized a roof top dinner on the day we arrived. There on the roof top we had a very nice breakfast everyday. If you wanted something, they made sure to get it for you. The manager arranged trips for us with a private chauffeur to the Agafay desert, with camel ride, quad ride, pool time, dinner and fire show. Very cool. Another day he arranged a trip to the mountains, see a waterfall, lunch at a river and meet Berber craftsmen. The manager and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Nice rooms with airco, which you appreciate when it’s really hot outside. In short we recommend this place. Good price quality balance. Thank you for making us feel welcome and comfortable.

I really enjoyed my stay at this riad . The staff was super friendly throughout our visit, always attentive and willing to help with anything we needed. One thing we truly appreciated was that they picked us up directly from the train station, which made our arrival so much easier. They also kindly gave us a very spacious room, which was a thoughtful gesture. The location is great too, especially being close to the train station, which made getting around very convenient. Overall, a very positive experience. I would definitely recommend this place!

Die Authenzität des Riads sowie die Gastfreundlichlekeits des Besitzers (Willy) und des Personals. Das Zimmer ist sehr modern aber trotzdem noch mit einem traditionellen Touch. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber. Die Lage war perfekt, um am Abend was trinken und essen zu gehen, da es sich im neuerem Viertel befindet. ABER wir empfehlen sehr direkt beim Riad zu essen - sie bereiten die Gerichte mit sehr viel Liebe! Willy hat uns tolle Attraktionen organisiert und witklich zu einem guten Preis-Leistungsverhätlnis. Fazit: Der Name 'Douirtna' =zu Hause, beschreibt genau diesen Aufenthalt - und genau so fühlte es sich an, wie das eigene zu Hause.

The room was stunning and HUGE! and had its own private terrace which was a lovely surprise. The bed was so comfortable, the best sleep we had during our stay. La camera era molto spaziosa, con lounge con divani e TV separati dalla camera da letto, ma purtroppo il condizionatore non funzionava e tutto gli ambienti erano abbastanza freddi. Le Riad est dans une rue calme , très jolie avec une terrasse. La chambre a un très grand lit ! Le gardien est adorable. Le petit déjeune est servi à 8h nous avons demandé d’être servi à 7h car nous prenions l’avion . Le gardien nous l’a servi en chambre c’était super gentil. Le service taxi du Riad est parfait et pas cher.

Posizione ottima per visitare la città nuova, stanza ampia con entrata e salotto totalmente ristrutturata ad esclusione del bagno che meriterebbe della manutenzione. Correttezza della direzione che avendoci promesso una stanza al primo piano ma avendolo poi dimenticato, ci ha dato un upgrade al secondo piano a pari prezzo.

Cons: Ad inizio febbraio fa freddo, i sistemi di riscaldamento a pompa di calore se vecchi, sono estremamente rumorosi, impossibile tenerli attivi. Un ulteriore aspetto da considerare è che le colazioni nei riad , vengono servite all'esterno nelle terrazze. Dura mangiare a 7..10 gradi . Dovrebbero offrire soluzioni magari in strutture prossime ma al chiuso.

We booked at the last minute and found this modest yet clean and comfortable hotel. Located at a tiny alley in the new Medina. We were not expecting a lot since we only need a place to stay after our flight got delayed overnight. Although we were taken by surprise on how modern the room looked compared to the other Riads in the area. The staff of the hotel is very accommodating! He tried his very best to communicate with us even if it’s difficult for him to speak English. The room itself is amazingly comfortable and the water flow in the shower is just amazing! Breakfast is pretty basic and light. Overall, we’re really satisfied with our stay and will be happy to refer to friends and families! :)

I stayed at Riad Douirtna for three nights. It is located on a relatively quiet street away from the Marrakesh Medina, a little more than one kilometer from the Marrakesh Railway Station. I arrived late in the night, however the check-in process was smooth. I got a room on the 3rd floor and had to use the staircase to reach the floor. The room was clean, spacious & the bed was large. The room was equipped with a couch, a couple of bedside tables, a couple of chairs, an air conditioner & a wardrobe. The bathroom was a bit small, especially the shower area. But it was clean and hot water worked without an issue. Towels, soap & amenities were available. Room service was available throughout the stay. Breakfast was also served on the same floor. It was a basic Moroccan breakfast, but adequate to survive the day. Overall, it was a pleasant stay at Riad Douirtna.

Cons: The upper floors were not accessible through an elevator, hence if you bring large luggage, it will be a tiresome activity to carry them upstairs.

The location is very central. You can just go by foot and experience so much! Also, as two young women, we were feeling very safe. There’s 24/7 helpful staff at the Riad, everyone is nice and the property is clean. We had the ground floor suite with the patio, it’s nice and private.

Cons: Номер на верхнем этаже окнами выходит на веранду с завтраком. Завтрак начинается в 8 утра, его слышно. Завтрак накрывается на веранде, но зимой в восемь утра на улице три градуса тепла, не очень комфортно. Завтрак скудный, но так везде. Не Европа)

Located in Gueliz, good location if you want to explore the new town or you want to stay out of the chaos of the Medina. The room was well equipped and clean, and everything looked new and tastefully furnished. We arrived late at night and It wasn't a problem, staff was very polite and welcoming. The location is close to everything that travellers would need, there’s a mini grocery, a food shop that serves tasty meals. Although quite far from the Medina and other tourist spot, you can easily grab taxis which would only cost you 20 Dirhams during the day. The Riad is beautifully decorated, it’s massive especially the living room. The bed is surely comfortable. Special mention to the kind lady who serves different kinds of Morrocan breads which were all tasty, although there is no other food to choose from, you would be definitely be leaving with full stomach ☺️. They also cleaned the room everyday which is a plus on our side. The receptionist upon arrival was welcoming enough, he also attended to our needs. He also stays right in front of the gate or someone else, I think it’s to make sure that no outsiders would enter the premises which made us feel safe. Though overall the location itself is safe, we were able to go back to the Riad at late night, plus you cannot hear the noises from the outside establishments. The staffs are all kind and welcoming, the same goes to the lady receptionist who has a very welcoming smile.

Cons: Although the bathroom looks cleaned, it smells bad (not from the gutter definitely) I just could not figure out where the smell comes from but I think if they would give it a good clean with bleach, this would make a difference I think. The small bin does not have plastic bag inside plus it does not open well so you have to open the lid manually. Both AC looks old and needs cleaning from the inside, both are noisy as well when turned on, although, we still managed to sleep well enough for each day’s activities. Carpets need more cleaning as well.

Cons: O ar do meu quarto quando cheguei nao estava funcionando. O funcionário não estava na portaria. Por sorte após um tempo e ficar subindo e descendo escada eu o encontrei e ele estava de saída. Pedi pra resolver o problema do ar e fiquei bem estressada. Eram quase 2 da manhã e teria que acordar cedo no dia seguinte para ir pro deserto. Meu quarto era no térreo e não tinha janela. Não tinha como dormir daquele jeito. Ele não falava nenhuma outra língua além de àrabe (Como um funcionário de hotel não fala outro idioma ? Eu poderia me comunicar com ele em inglês, francês, espanhol, mas tive que ficar usando o tradutor do google e mesmo assim algumas coisas ele não entendia =/) Mostrei foto de um ventilador e não tinha. Pedi pra trocar de quarto e quando fomos para um quarto 2 andares acima o ar NÃO funcionou também!! Ele tentou ligar pra alguém, acredito que o responsável, e nao teve sucesso. Dpois de quase 40 min que ele por um milgare conseguiu fazer o ar funcionar.

Cons: Avevo organizzato il transfert dall’aereoporto con il Riad, il mio aereo ha subito un ritardo di un ora e al mio arrivo ho aspettato il loro taxi per 30 minuti da sola, nessuno mi ha risposto nonostante avessi scritto e provato a contattare la struttura e nessuno è venuto a prendermi. Dovendo la mattina successiva partire presto ho chiesto se fosse possibile fare la colazione 30 minuti prima (h 7.30) mi è stato detto di no ma la mattina il ragazzo mi ha preparato comunque qualcosa, in qualunque Riad dove sono stata non è mai stato un problema anticipare l’orario della colazione. Colazione comunque al di sotto della media di Marrakech. Camera sporca e mancava addirittura il sapone per la doccia.

Stayed for two weeks. The staff, hotel and location are excellent ! On a side street in a lively part of town, there is plenty to see and do but with the luxury of peace and quiet at the end of the day. Excellent air-conditioning which was a godsend after walking around souks in 37-degree heat :) I would highly recommend staying and would definitely stay again. We stayed in the family room that had a large tv, full size fridge, very large shower and a small private courtyard with sofas- perfect!

The location in Gueliz showed another side of Marrakech vs the Medina area. Good proximity to train and CTM bus (still a taxi ride if luggage with you). Separate bedroom from lounge area gave some privacy for friends. Breakfast was adequate. Aircon great.

Cons: The bathroom needed some repairs. The sofa bed was truly just a couch; we had to ask for the linen and second towel although we’d let the staff know in advance we would need to use sofa bed. Using the sofa as a bed meant the living room was a bedroom- just need to be aware.

The riad is located in the modern part of the city and it's within walking distance from coffee shops, restaurants and a mall. Would definitely book again on the next visit!

Very clean, comfortable, quiet room with private bathroom and super nice to have an enclosed shower for a dry floor in the rest of the bathroom. Not always the case! The staff extremely friendly, Amina and Amene (spelling?). Amene soeaks English perfectly and very thoroughly explained the WiFi, breakfast etc and had my bag up the stairs at my room door before I could blink. I had to change my arrival date twice and they were very understanding and accommodating. I so appreciate the humanity in this and will rerun because it is rare to find! Also because the location is close to the modern city with an easy taxi to the Medina.

Le personnel était extrêmement gentil, et ça a tout heure. Le petit déjeuner était très bon, et adaptable à vos envies. Le ménage était fait quotidiennement, peu importe l’heure à laquelle vous sortez de la chambre, bon rapport qualité prix au vu de l’emplacement du riad qui est extrêmement bien placé.

Cons: La chambre est très simple, il ne faut pas s’attendre au grand luxe, il n’y a pas de volets et les rideaux ne sont pas occultants, donc le jour est présent des 7h du matin. Même chose au niveau bruit, dès le matin on entend tout ce qui se passe dans la rue. Malgré la qualité des prestations, et la gentillesse du personnel, je conseille plutôt d’y aller pour un court séjour qu’un long séjour.

We had a great stay! It's more a hotel than what you may think of a riad, the localisation is perfect, in the new part of the town, next to the train station and not far from the airport (take line 18 in front of Maroc Telecom near McDonald's for a few coins), it's 40 min by walk to the main square and medina. It's a very comfortable and clean room, with breakfast included until 11AM. The staff was very kind and helpful. We highly recommend it!

We got aan upgrade to the mastersuite, that was an amazing room with an amazing bed and big tv. The employée really did his best to make us happy, hé even found a winescrewer for us.

Cons: The shower door of glass broke when i tried to close it, it fell all over me. After that, the people cleaned the room but did not offer any more (health)care. But the showers in the other rooms are not from glass :)

Amazing breakfast prepared exclusively for us. The bedroom was enormous with a living room, a shower room and the bedroom. Staff were very helpful and very friendly. We loved our first time in Marrakesh and we are looking forward to go again but this time , we are taking the family.

La struttura è molto carina, stanze grandi e davvero pulitissime! Al nostro arrivo in aereoporto avevamo già il driver della struttura ad aspettarci agli arrivi! Ci ha dato un caloroso benvenuto e portati al Riad dove ci ha accolto una ragazza gentilissima! Avevamo prenotato una camera standard ma ci hanno dato una suite appena arrivati senza supplemento! Il giorno dopo siamo partiti per il deserto davvero presto e nonostante l’orario della colazione iniziasse decisamente più tardi ci hanno comunque permesso di farla all’orario più comodo per noi direttamente in camera! Gentilezza straordinaria 😍

Cons: Hice reserva para mis padres mayores de edad que estaban de tránsito en Marruecos y no hablan inglés ni francés. Hablando con el hotel les solicite servicio de taxi desde aeropuerto, me han confirmado precio y disponibilidad. Cuando mis padres salieron del aeropuerto (el vuelo llego de noche ya) no había nadie de transfer esperando, a pesar de que hotel me aseguró que una persona les iba a esperar con el cartel. Por suerte ellos han cogido otro taxi y han podido llegar al hotel donde les querían cobrar el taxi que no fue a por ellos. Lo mismo paso con el desayuno: me escribieron desde hotel diciendo que iban a entregar el desayuno la mañana siguiente en la habitación de mis padres, pero nadie ha aparecido. No entiendo para que prometer cosas que no piensas cumplir. Sobre todo cuando tus clientes son personas mayores que necesitaban descansar de un vuelo para coger luego por la mañana el otro.

Personnel très sympa. Emplacement pas loin de la place centrale, beaucoup de commerce et restaurant à proximité. Les petits déjeuner étaient très délicieux. Le personnel de chambre très professionnels, la chambre était faite tout les jours.

Cons: 1 mauvais point très désagréable pour ceux qui sont véhiculé : c'est de constamment payer les gardiens sur la rue, au moment de se garer et quand on prend la voiture. Ça nous à limite motivé parfois à aller à la marche à la place centrale au lieu de prendre la voiture

Les chambres « studio » et « suite » spacieuses et très confortables, belle décoration, propre, personnel très accueillant et disponible, bon petit déjeuner sur la terrasse. Localisation parfaite pour explorer Guéliz et au-delà, quartier vivant mais plus calme que la médina, qui reste à 10mn en taxi.

Cons: It is located far away from the square, taxi drivers had issues to find this place. We did not enjoy breakfasts which were served (no option to choose what we want to eat). Breakfast was reheated in the microwave like bread. For breakfast there was only a small pot of jam, honey and butter, bread, tea/coffee, something like jelly. No option of eg boiled egg/ omelette.

Great riad in the new part of Marrakech, close to the train station, lots of good restaurants and bar, and a shopping mall. We got a studio which was huge, very comfortable and clean. It had a separate room that was all sofa with a big tv with netflix on it. As this was our last night in Morocco before an early flight, we took a food advance of that.

Cons: Everything was great! One thing was that we heard some loud music coming from a club nearby but we stayed there on Saturday and didn't sleep much due to the early flight. For a light sleeper, though, it could be a problem.

The manager was extremely helpful and attentive to our needs. The original room had a tiny window on the ground floor (a dealbreaker for us) and he was happy to upgrade us on the spot. We had to skip breakfast so we cannot comment on quality because our ride next day was very early.

日本で言うビジネスホテルっぽい。必要なものが揃っていて、水、テレビ、ドライヤー、シャンプー設備あり。朝食がおいしかったし、マダムも丁寧だった。早朝の電車を乗る場合にホテルから駅まで徒歩10から15分。

Cons: シャワー室の水捌けが悪く、シャワーに時間がかかった。シャワー室内の清掃がしっかりされてなく、髪の毛が排水口に残っていた。

Tucked away in a little alley, this Riad was very comfortable. It was a very wet day so the breakfast on the terrace was a little chilly. Close to a nice hammam and a mile or so walk into the old town.

Lovely suite with large living area and huge bed that was very comfy. Staff were always very helpful, answered questions, printed boarding passes etc. In a quiet area which meant we slept great! Staff brought Moroccan tea to our room on arrival!

Cons: A local told us this riad is in the new town part of Marrakesh where more local people stay, meaning it was further away from tourist attractions, main square etc. As a younger couple we didnt mind the approx 30min walk or taxi but others may prefer to be closer. Breakfast was ok, seemed to alternate it. Would’ve enjoyed the crepes each day.
