Good stuff- location, friendly staff. Our room in need of renovation, as I understand they are working on. The mattress is something out of a cheap Motel 6, back killing me after 6 hours. NO air conditioning as advertised on the website due to the time of year, it’s just shut off. The hotel plays dumb like they don’t know. To get cool fresh air, you must open the door to the extremely loud street below, so terrible night sleep if you like somewhat quiet. This is an old hotel, so not much in new technologies, like electric outlets near the bed. 4 star hotel?, don’t know how. Hilton Garden Inn in Tanger is fantastic and it’s rated the same. Breakfast is weak, if you like hot food, as I do. But. the weather was beautiful.

The Chicken Tagine at the restaurant was delicious and the local Cavernet Sauvignon was very good, as well. Staff was very nice and attentive.

I had a 1 hour exfoliation. I have never had one. Charifa was amazing. I did a steam bath, then the exfoliation , then a manual a rub. I was able to keep the mitten she used. Then a 5 min body mask. She also scrubbed. Y hair and conditioned it. I highly recommend this!

This is a well-located business hotel with good facilities. Rooms are cookie-cutter type and comfortable. I was first assigned Room 314 which had a strong mold smell and broken faucet in the tub. I moved the next day to Room 305 which was marginally better with a milder mold smell and a fully functional bathtub. Be aware that groups use this hotel and try to time your breakfast arrival earlier or later than them as the breakfast room is not that large. Don’t be hesitant to mention to staff that the buffet needs replenishing - it takes them time to tend to it. Wi-fi was stable and very good.

After checking in, we tried to enter our room but the door was stuck to the flooring & it was impossible to enter the room. Went back to the reception & we were given another room across the hallway but this one had two double beds instead of the King/Queen bed we had booked. We were told that was what was available. The bath tub did not drain after a shower that evening so they sent someone to fix it. The next morning the same problem recurred . The reception had no explanation nor an apology for the inconvenience caused.

There was construction going on I the hotel, which made it very hard sleep. They were very evasive about discomfort. After my stay, I tried so many times to reach them for the invoice, as I was traveling for the work and I needed it for reimbursement. It is been weeks and they didn't answer any of my requests. You can find a better place for a better price.

On nous annonce qu’il y a des travaux dans l’hôtel qu’une fois sur place et après avoir payé. Que ce ne sont que des petits travaux de changement de moquettes sauf que ce n’est pas vrai, ça tape dans tous les sens, c’est infernal. Que les travaux sont de 10h à 18h, FAUX ENCORE, 9h ça tape à coup de marteau. Et la chambre sent mauvais le moisie. Un autre chambre pareil. TOUS L’HÔTEL !!!! Honnêtement j’ai vu des hôtels avec des petits soucis mais LÀ C’EST DU FOUTAGE DE GUEULE !!! Un conseil, ne doutez pas, cherchez ailleurs!!!

I was booked for 8 nights and discovered to my dismay that there were renovations taking place. However, I was never disrupted nor annoyed by the construction and thank the hotel management for their sensitivity of working time. The noise level was minimilist. The desk staff were great and always helped. The breakfasts were great with an excellent spread of food. Yusuf, Noura and Meryem made my stay worth it because of their authentic soft smile and friendly professional demeanour. Their warmth really made my stay in Rabat a reason to come back to the city and the hotel.

Cons: There's construction going on in the hotel from 10 to 6. But the noise started early, around 9:30am. I called the front desk but the noise kept going. At 9:50 I called again. The staff emphasized that the construction starts at 10, as if it could justify the fact that it wasn't even 10 yet! I was neither impressed nor satisfied with the service.

The atmosphere in the restaurant was relaxing. We had dinner several times in the hotel, which we normally don't. The food was nicely prepared and delicious, and very good portions. The staff were lovely and attentive, without being intrusive. Excellent service, people and atmosphere. The cleaning team was also amazing. It was wonderful arriving to the room, nicely cleaned and organized, after a whole day at the conference! Reception was helpful with everything. Good location, close to the tram station, but also walking distance to all the key attractions.

Cons: The hotel was next to a busy road which could be noisy in the evening.

We stayed at Le Diwan as part of a group. The staff was very gracious and accommodating. Every single employee welcomed us and took every step to make our day pleasant. I had booked a 3 day for our anniversary and was looking forward to thia hotel due to the glowing review , so i decided to pay over the odds and opt for this hotel, I was surprised with the noise of the work that's going on the property which caused difficult getting any sleep which I looked passed, then realised the shower was blocked and dirty water up to my ankle which made showering an unpleasant experience. I would say the staff was pleasant and helpful to some degree but it not where I would come again. Think ahead before booking.

The rooms are spacious, but have a lot of wear and tear. There was a musty smell, and I had to leave my window open to air it out. The bathroom sink was slightly sloped and cracked so water would spill onto the counter when I turned on the faucet. The redeeming thing about the room was the shower. The water was hot and the pressure great. I was only here for a night so it was fine for a short stay. It is a quick walk from the train station and popular with tour groups. The staff were friendly.

The Diwan is at least 25 years old and showing its age. My room was comfortable enough and well equipped, but everything was old fashioned and rather worn. It ticked all the boxes though - comfortable bed, shower with good water pressure, safety box, wardrobe with plenty of coat hangers, kettle and Nespresso machine. Breakfast costs 16 euros if not included in your rate and was a small, underwhelming buffet so we went to a local cafe for a fraction of the price. the downstairs bar was smoky but the friendly barman could offer a decent glass of wine. Renovation work on higher floors was underway in April 2025. Despite being told at check-in that the work would only start at 10am, the noisy banging started at 8.30 the next morning, Bring earplugs if you like to lie in! The attractions of Rabat are all a fair walk away, but the area is safe and clean. The hotel will probably be a decent choice once the full refurbishment is complete.

A lovely comfortable hotel in a good location. Comfortable bed decent breakfast and some lovely staff, particularly the housekeeper on our floor.

Cons: Some of our group had west facing rooms that were hot. They were told the air conditioning had been turned off due to the time of year - despite it still being quite hot. Fortunately our room faced east and with the window open it was comfortable. Given incorrect directions when trying to locate a restaurant - sent in entirely the wrong direction. Suggest you rely on Google Maps instead

The breakfast generally is good. However, this time, I did not take breakfast as I had many back to back side meetings. The location of the breakfast dinning area is good as it is on the Mezzanine floor, close to the meeting rooms. That way, people can come out of breakfast and go straight for their meetings.

Cons: I guess it is a gradual process for all the hotel rooms to be completely renovated. I got a good room though. The staff always try to ensure I get a good already renovated room

I called service on 1st day, to give me a small packet of coffee, 'cuz I really was tired and felt like drinking coffee and said she will call reception. No coffee and water for 2 days. But some Gate 1 people told me that they have, even 4 bottles of water. I guess the person in charge of my room isn't fair to everyone.

No golf space, no facilities. the reception manager’s attitude is very poor, the gentleman has no smile at all, very froid. it’s an expensive hotel mainly for French/foreigners, the value is not high. We had read about one menu being shown and another price being charged,so we decided to eat in the hotel restaurant every evening,,except one. (KFC) Excellent. After our meal,on the fourth night,my wife queried the bill and they said that they had made a mistake and reduced it, saying that the menu was changing on Monday. The next night we were overcharged again, despite ordering from the menu they had given to us. We asked for the concierge, who said that there was a QR code of the new pricing. We don't have smart phones. Monday evening, our last night we were given a doctored menu with old prices scribbled out and new prices written in washable pen. The other menus being handed out to customers without. I had to send my meal back as it was lukewarm. The concierge will get his taxi driver. He is also a scam. He takes you to various sites and there was always a guide that he knew,,who had friends selling overpriced jewellery etc. Take a blue cab. The hotel taxi agrees a price and then doubles it.

In general was a really good experience. Staff was helpful and kind, the took the luggage to our room, car was safe parked in a private area. Room was big enough, no noisy even though was in the street side. There's laundry service in case of need. Breakfast was really good: live cooking for crepes and omelettes, many different options... also fruits! Cereals were also different, just some of them a bit wet, like passed. On the other hand, the location was really good also to visit places, move by walking and forget the car!

Cons: The coffee, as in many other hotels is pretty bad. Better to place a Nespresso, o Nescafe machine, and leave it there.

The desk clerk who advised us a number of times was very friendly and professional. The beds were comfortable. The price for the spa experience was very reasonable as they had an afternoon special. We had a pleasant and luxurious spa experience with massage, though the exfoliation was unexpected and rather rough and we would have preferred to skip that part if we had known about it in advance. The restaurant was very good and we ate there a few times, partly because it was difficult to find a restaurant of similar quality anywhere nearby.

Cons: The breakfast was rather limited compared to a more economical hotel that we had just left in another city, which was somewhat surprising, since the cost of the room was about fifty percent higher. The hot food was uncovered, so it was cold and dry, rather hard to cut. There was also a time where we had to ask the lady sitting outside for an omelette since the buffet staff were nowhere to be found for a while. It would have been helpful to have more detailed information about the spa experience before signing up for it. As we were leaving, a second desk clerk was rather forward in pressing us to write a good review, which was a bit of a turnoff.

This hotel is definitely worth every penny you spend. I got the room with half board so had free breakfast and either lunch/dinner every day. The food is good and the deal is unbeatable. What makes this hotel especially great are his staff. They're all super friendly and go out of their way to greet you and make sure you're having a great time, not only in this hotel, but also in Morocco. They are all bilingual or even trilingual and super super nice. Noura was very helpful as she recommended to me a nearby hammam to have a Moroccan experience. I would definitely come again. Well earned, 5 stars!

The Diwan is a fine hotel -- my favorite in Rabat. I was generously upgraded to a suite, which was quiet, roomy and very comfortable Reception and Brasserie staff were friendly and professional. My one suggestion where the hotel could improve service is to offer stronger and faster in-room wifi. Internet access, especially in the evening was patchy and slow.

The room was large and well-furnished and had all you needed to be comfortable, i.e. good toiletries, bathrobes, plenty of towels, comimentary water bottles. We had to argue to get a seat and then after studying the menu and making our selections, we were told that none of our seafood selections was possible because they had no seafood. A terrible start to our stay. We never ate at the hotel again. The hotel was quite nice otherwise. A nice touch was putting a fresh rose in the bathroom, and then the second day when they changed it, we found the petals nicely arranged on the bed. Surprisingly gracious touch. So, the hotel is fine but we recommend against its restaurant.

Hotel is nice and comfortable and staff helpful. I had one problem with noise one night and this was dealt with. Otherwise room is nice, bathrooms commodious, balconey and good TV. Bed is very comfortable. Prices reasonable except the breakfast didn't give good value but other wise good.

Great location. Staff we helpful and nice. Good food at restaurant. Free wifi. The room could use more hangers, wash cloths, and a tv remotes that works. Tall people will bump their knees on the bidet which is only inches across from the toilet.

This was an absolutely wonderful experience. Stayed at Le Diwan for 8 nights. Every day we had rose petals placed somewhere in the room. The staff was just wonderful, helpful and accomodating. The restaurant had excellent "real" Moroccan food. The bar was great and when we had "trouble" with other patrons thinking we needed company, the staff set the expectation that we did not need more friends. Two women travelling in Rabat...we were never led astray and all the advice was worth listening to. When I go back to Rabat (and I will) I will definitely stay at Le Diwan again. Thank you to everyone there for making our stay memorable and amazing!

The rooms are quite nice, with a comfortable bed, and double windows that block out the street noise amazingly well. Room service was very good, tasty, and not too expensive, and the staff were very helpful.

We travel a great deal and are frequent gusts at Accor hotels, Hilton, SPG, and etc.. We speak French fluently, and have visited Morocco several times, but the staff seemed oblivious when we spoke to them, even in casual conversation. The service at breakfast was some of the worst we've experienced, even thought the manager tried to make up for if, she couldn't pull up the slack. The service in the Bar on the ground floor was also poor. Parking is bad on this VERY congested corner. Overall, we wouldn't return or recommend it to others unless we have no other option. I think the poor management starts at the top, based on my observations of his efforts.

We liked this hotel quite a bit, a good business and tourist option. The location is very convenient, we actually walked from the station with our luggage after the taxi driver quoted a ridiculous price (it is a 20 minute walk though, so plan accordingly if you have a lot of luggage). You can walk to the Hassan Tour, which we could see from our window, in 15 - 20 minutes. The breakfast was very nice if a bit pricey; the restaurant in the hotel didn't impress, but maybe it was because it was New Year's Eve, and quite possibly the French fare wasn't really what we should've attempted after 2 weeks of eating delicious food all over Morocco.

I spent much time at the Sofitel: the rooms are modern, clean and well-maintained, the staff courteous and helpful. There are not many hotels in Rabat that compare if you're looking for somewhere reliably clean, modern, and with somewhat of a bar scene. I will go back.
