Lovely helpful staff...very accommodating. Lovely decorated riad..gorgeous decorations..very moroccan. Although I dont eat breakfast, my husband really enjoyed the food. Great location.. very central to the main shopping area. Luckily my husband has a great sense of direction...I would've got totally lost as it was hard to find! There's a security guard keeping watch in the local area which was reassuring Owner kindly organised taxis both ways for us. Incredibly peaceful...no noise at all...apart from call to prayer but we've stayed in many riads and you can always hear this..but I love to hear this! Loved the bath in our room..really deep. Shower powerful and constant temperature.

Cons: A fridge in room would've been great, plus an iron and board..although im sure staff would have ironed should we asked. There is a safe in room but this should really be fixed down. Unfortunately the mattress was far too hard for me..hardest ive ever felt.. I had to sleep on the sofa as it really hurt my back..but hubby didn't mind it.

The Riad is lovely, very comfortable and with great facilities. I loved the staff members as they were all super friendly and helpful. The Riad is very central and close to one of the main pick up points which is "College Mohammed 5". The pool is very clean and refreshing (after a long day of tourism, heading to the pool is the best feeling ever). The roof top is gorgeous and the sofa outside is extremely comfortable. The breakfast given at the Riad is delicious and fresh. They also provide other services such as laundry, taxi to the airport, etc... Highly recommend this Riad!!

Cons: However, there are some things to mention... I stayed in the room with two single beds, and I'm not sure if it was only my room but it would have been nice to have a larger mirror, as we only had a small mirror in the toilet and it was very hard to do our makeup by using this mirror, as well as not being able to check out our outfits (due to the hight of the mirror). Also the roof top is amazing but there is no Internet upstairs so you will have to use your data. Lastly, this is not the Riad's fault but I believe is one of the most important points to highlight. The location of the Riad is centrical, but it's within the market, meaning there are no vehicles that can enter to drop you off or pick you up from the Riad. As I mentioned previously, it's very close to the pick up/drop off point named "College Mohammed 5" but you do have to walk all the way to there. In addition the Riad (and most of the riads) are found in hidden alleyways within the market and because not many tourists know this, the locals will try to scam you by providing you their "help" to find the Riad. The alleyway where Riad Darhani is found in is called "Derb Ouayhah", and once you find this alleyway it's easy to find the Riad as you only need to follow the signs. Also, there is always a kind man who works in this alleyway and he ensures the safety of everyone and if you get lost you can as him. I believe this last point mentioned is very important to know as for tourists like us who didn't know this info, the first night in Marrakesh is always scary, after, once you get to explore and know more about the market its very simple and easy to move around!

We only stayed for at Riad Darhani for one night as we were travelling on to Essaouira. The riad was beautiful, the staff were very friendly and accommodating and responded really quickly to my queries before our stay.

We had a twin room, good shower comfortable. The Riad is perfectly situated and quiet. Establish how to get to the door after they drop you off of the taxi and don’t pre book a taxi back to airport. Roaming taxis only charge a £10 . Breakfast was included and substantial. I would have liked a coffee machine or kettle in the room to make it perfect. Would stay here again

The location was amazing, right in the heart of old town, left or right out of the Rhiad colourful little adventures. An oasis where you can chill. So peaceful. Lovely breakfast. Omar's organisation is so good can contact him by wattsup even rearranging our day trip to Atlas Mountains because it clashed with going to the YSL gardens. Airport transfers so smooth, which I would recommend as it is a walk from where cars can go and you will never find it without the Rhiad guide to meet you at the taxi with his trolley to take you and your luggage down the narrow pedestrian streets to the Rhiad. He was happy with 30Dh tip each way.

Cons: There really wasn't anything I disliked. I suppose I was a little disappointed not to be able to see out from the roof top.....but there are plenty in Marrakesh that you can!

The riad was a calm sanctuary amid bustling colourful souks. Our room was a stunning Moroccan haven, comfortable bed, storage and a bathroom with a shower and bath. Riad Darhani is spectacular, the accommodation itself offered a good mix of beauty and character, I enjoyed how central it was but also very peaceful & quiet. Omar and the staff were extremely attentive in every way regarding housekeeping, breakfast and organising our arrival/departure from Riad Darhani. We also requested a number of extras that Omar kindly organised for us (birthday decs and an authentic morrocan chocolate birthday cake).

Cons: Take Omar up on the offer of help regarding arriving to the Riad if you are new to Marrakech, but after your first arrival you will easily navigate your way back (it’s probably a 1 minute walk back off one of the main walk ways).

We didn’t go for a swim but it was nice to relax on the sofas found on each floor. After a very stressful beginning to our trip, with the Riad booked via the tour operator being fully booked and having no record of our booking, we quickly had to find somewhere to stay for the night whilst we figured out the issue! We were so lucky that we took a chance and quickly chose this Riad via Booking.com. Once we found the location amongst the maze of souk alleyways, this Riad was an absolute delight for our senses. The Riad owner was so lovely, immediately bringing us the traditional welcome mint tea, understanding the stressful journey that we had experienced so far. The Riad is breathtakingly beautiful, if they had had availability for the remainder of the holiday then we would have stayed here. The decor is second to none, and provided us with a calm relaxing haven for our first night. The owner recommended some restaurants close by for us to try for our evening meal as he could see that we just needed to eat and then sleep for the night. One of those choices was Cafe Arabe which was only a 5 minute walk and immediately became our favourite restaurant of the trip. I would recommend this Riad to everyone, if they have availability then stay here 😊

Cons: Nothing, everything was perfect

Communication prior to arriving was excellent. Omar messaged me to say someone from the Riad would pick us up from the airport but I had already booked a transfer. However Abdel (hope I spelled his name correctly) met us from the taxi and took us to the Riad which is in the Medina where no cars can go. This was reassuring for our first time visiting Marrakech. Omar was extremely helpful with advice regarding haggling and directions to attractions. He will arrange excursions for you and someone will come to the Riad to pick you up and put you in the right van - there are a lot around so it would be easy to make a mistake! He also booked a taxi for us to the airport. I would recommend booking through your accommodation for this as the locals know more about how long it takes to get through the multiple security checks. There are many! The staff at the Riad were amazing. Very sweet and accommodating. I would stay here again

Cons: Nothing to do with the Riad but I had booked a return to the airport through booking.com and had underestimated how long it takes to get through the airport (we arrived 3hrs ahead and only had around 30 mins in total sitting around!). The company were reluctant to change the time I had originally set hence booking another through Omar. We would not have made the plane if I had stuck to the original time.

Abdou picked us up in the middle of the night which was great. He was always available for questions and the accommodation was beautiful. They have a beautiful roof terrace and a very nice courtyard. we felt very well taken care of.

Overall an amazing and beautiful Riad. The location for us was perfect, in the middle of the souks and all the great streets, and ten minutes walking to the square. It is mad how crazy it is outside the Riad, but how peaceful it is inside. The rooftop is lovely to relax on, and the breakfast also great. The pool is nice to quickly cool off in.

Cons: We had the ground floor room, so it was a little awkward at breakfast time, it’s so silent in the Riad you feel like everyone can hear you, especially in this room.

Omar and his staff went out of their way to make us feel like family. I have never seen or felt hospitality at a higher level. The food was phenomenal and the environment beautiful and relaxing. Everyone at the riad was very friendly and welcoming. We were given pastries and mint tea when we arrived and Omar was very helpful by giving us a map and showing us all the local attractions. He also printed off our boarding passes for us which was appreciated. Breakfast was good and the riad itself is very pretty.

Cons: The pool is quite small - smaller than expected and too cold even though we were in 32+ degree heat. The actual location can also be quite difficult to find but this is not really the fault of the riad.

The design of the place is really nice. We enjoyed swimming pool and the Bathroom is extraordinary. I loved the shower facility since the shower pressure and temperature are amazing. Also the night shift guy was really nice as well. I loved his hospitality. We also had a chat with the guy about difference between Moroccan and Japanese life over the Moroccan tea.

The Riad is beautifully decorated with a lovely traditional Moroccan style. The standard double bedroom was large enough with a good sized en-suite, again in a lovely Moroccan style. The breakfast was European style and more than enough to keep you going for the day. The location was right in the middle of the Medina but deep enough in alleyways that it is very peaceful. The staff were absolutely fantastic - very friendly and helpful.

Cons: The bedroom wasn’t very soundproof and the lock didn’t work on the inside of the bedroom. A safe in the wardrobe would have been ideal to store passports etc.

The whole experience at Riad Darhani was amazing. The location was perfect, it is located more or less next to all the nice places we wished to visit. It was clean, the breakfast was lovely, the terrace was great, but most important for us was the staff. All persons working at this cozy Riad was absolutely amazing. They supported us with practical questions such as, booking taxi, recommend activities to do, book those activities, and was always very friendly and kind. Very luxurious Riad! Both the central garden, the rooftop terrace, as well as the room. Eye for detail.

Cons: The lock for our room's door was hard to close, and even impossible to close from the inside. We didn't mind too much though, we felt safe enough. The Riad was difficult to find - we didn't see any signaling, no clear instructions, no WhatsApp number to call. We were continuously harrassed by locals who wanted us to show the way - for money, of course. That's an extremely stressful situation. Also, as always, the parking place was difficult to find, reach, and 'louche' - the guy even by default wanted us to leave our keys, which of course we didn't allow. It was 75 dirhams / night. It would have been great if someone from the Riad could have met us somewhere easy to find, guided us to a safe parking spot, made the arrangements with the parking guy for a fixed price, and then guided us to the Riad - a service we got at another Riad, in Fes.

The location was amazing. Right in the middle of the Medina. There is a little bit of a walk from the main path, but once you remember it, it is easy. The breakfast was lovely. Only thing is it could have a little fruit. The staff were amazing. Very kid, welcoming and helpful. They went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and help us with getting to our booked ballon ride.

It was amazing. It is a bit difficult to find it at first so I would recommend to get a taxis organised by the owner. The staff is amazing! The night manager went out of his way to make your stay something special.

Staff were super helpful at all times. Everything was super clean, which is highly appreciated in contrast to how the medina is. They can make you lunch and donner on demand, and it was the best meal we had in Marrakech.

Cons: Indications to get to the riad should be explained a bit, since the access is not on the main street but yoy have to go down a small street in which you do not know if you are going somewhere actually, but that is all. Also, they do not change your money as specified in the booking details of the room, but you have plenty of places to do that around.

the property is stunning, a total hidden gem. it is very well decorated and relaxing. The rooms are nice and there are also several areas in common spaces to hang out. the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, and they arranged multiple taxis and luggage service for us.

Cons: There is nothing we didn’t like.

We stayed in Darhani for 4 days. We enjoyed the location of the riad; it was a 10 min walking distance to lots of points of interests. The Manager Omar was very attentive and helped us settle in, the first day, giving us tips and tricks of the area. Through out our stay, staff were really helpful and nice. Every morning - we chose a different place to have breakfast and on request twice they gave us an early breakfast as we had an excursions booked. The room we stayed in was very comfy and very spacious , it had aircon– for reference it was the Mistress room . Cons - a little difficult to find so I would recommend you get the direct transfer from the airport to the hotel when you arrive as there are no signs for the riad and your GPS will not locate it. Once you have seen it for the first time, you should be able to navigate yourselves around the Medina.

This was our 4th stay in this beautiful accommodation in the hearty of the Medina, Omar the Riad manager is extremely helpful and runs a friendly and well managed operation. The Riad is well maintained, spotlessly clean, and the interior design is classic and understated with many beautiful local crafts represented. The breakfast is generous (and we loved the option of breakfasting on the lovely roof terrace of the Riad). The Riad is well located for exploring Marrakech, the souks of the Medina, and the wonderful restaurants. Omar can organise local transfers too.

It's my favorite place in Marrakech, Omar and his crew are perfect, so adorable and they can give you many advises if you need good adresses in Marrakech. You can go without any hesitation. This is a perfect place to spend time with your family or your friends.

Omar was the perfect host during our stay in Marrakech. Omar and his staff could not have been more welcoming and helpful before, during, and after our stay. Omar contacted me beforehand to arrange airport transfer (recommend you do this), and helped with other logistics of our travel elsewhere in Morocco, including looking after our additional luggage as we headed into the desert. The riad is tucked away in the maze of the medina, near the centre and therefore close to (lots of) shopping and restaurants. The riad is amazingly tranquil given the hustle and bustle outside, with nicely presented comfortable and clean rooms. The little pool and roof garden offer opportunities to relax, but the real reason to stay is out the front door. When first arriving, recommend taking Omar up on his offer to arrange an airport transfer. The riad was easy to find once we’d arrived, but wouldn’t have wanted to be dependent on a map the first time.

OK, bad news up front: good luck finding this place on your own. It is down a mysterious alley, just go right, left, right, left (through the dark), right, left, then left. I've submitted a revision to Google Maps to put it in the right place, though it's shown correctly (absent the alleys) in TripAdvisor's map. Do call ahead and the riad will arrange a porter for you to carry your luggage and direct you to the place. Good news? Lots of things. Very well located, once you know where it is. Classic riad experience, with only a few rooms in the place, wonderful hospitality, nice rooftop terrace, good breakfast, and helpful hosts, including Omar, who will arrange tours for you if you'd like. Quiet and low-key. Many little nooks to sit and relax outside your room.

Darhani Marrakech Great Location, friendly staff I spent 4 days at the Darhani with my daughter in May 2018. When we first arrived the taxi driver dropped us at about half a mile from the Riad, we could not find our way, called the RIAD and within minutes a lady, which i cannot remember the name was there to meet us and walk us to the Riad. On our way through the alleyways, which is more like a labyrinth if you are not used to it, i questioned my daughter if once we leave the Riad whether we would ever find our way back. Surprisingly we went out a few hours after arriving and returned late at night with no problems, the alleyways are a bit dark and intimidating for the first time tourists, but we never felt unsafe. Abdul and Omar were lovely people always willing to help. The roof terrace is lovely, and the Riad itself, altought a bit modest, is a very quite place to rest after a long day or night walking through the Souks and the Jemaa el- Fnaa. It is right in the heart of the Souks and a short walk to the Jemaa el- Fnaa square. A faster wi-fi connection would be great as i spent long time doing work and needed a fast and reliable connection which was almost impossible. I would stay here again in a future visit to Marrakesh. First time tourist should be aware that the mobile network signal is very poor, and google maps most of the time wont work, we did manage our way around with google maps, but not actually using the data, simply looking for the destination on the map and then orientating ourselves by our position of the gps on the map. Please be aware that you will be a prey to many people there on the street who will notice if you are not familiar with the area or finding your way, they will try to direct you or offer to walk you to the place for in the end to ask for some money, and in some situations we found it quite uncomfortable even with young kids. Be careful with people asking for highly inflated prices for you to negotiate it, we were tricked a couple of times but learned the hard way, check the currency conversion for you to figure out the approximate value of any item you wish to buy, for me it simply does not work not having fixed prices and i believe this people should realise that they live from the tourism and are doing more harm than good not being honest. Tips: 1-If someone approaches you to help you on your way, keep walking away and say you know where you are and do not want help, they will be

We stayed a total of four nights, coming and going, on three separate occasions. It is a quiet, modestly appointed riad. Breakfast is good, including the best coffee we had in our first two weeks in Morocco. There is a nice rooftop terrace that we discovered only after our third night there. There is a pool that we did not use. Omar is a very friendly and potentially helpful guy, when he is there. They will store luggage for you, though it is not clear that they have a locked space in which to do so. You must follow a narrow winding path to find the riad. A sign would be helpful. Pretty good location inside the medina. It’s a ten minute walk to Dar al Bacha, an access point to the medina, and a place to grab a taxi. About a 15 minute walk to the main square.

Dar Hani is centrally located, less than a ten minute walk to most everything in the center of Marrakech and a very easy walk to father-out sites, such as Jardin Majorelle or the Badii Palace. The staff is exceptionally helpful and welcoming. They will coordinate any excursions you are looking to take and share helpful tips throughout your visit. The breakfast is delicious and the riad is clean and quiet, which is especially important after having been in the city all day.

After searching online for days and days to find a riad which was in a great location and a good price, we found Riad Darhani. We were so pleased with our choice when we immediately checked in. The riad is simply beautiful - an oasis some the busy streets of Marrakech. Omar had arranged for a taxi collection from the airport to take us to the riad. When we arrived at the souk Omar had also arranged for a man to take our luggage and lead us to find the riad. I completely disagree with another users comment (Steve S) that it is in an awful location. Most, if not all, riads are down alleyways and extremely difficult to find on your first, second, third attempt. Please ignore his comments. Omar and his team go out of their way to make you feel at home and are always there to answer any questions, give you advice and make your stay very comfortable. The riad is very quiet, peaceful, clean and you feel spoilt every morning with the breakfast. A fab location, friendly staff and affordable. 10/10.

Just returned from a 3 night stay at the Darhani, which in the end we cut short to two nights because of it's location. Omar and Abdul could not have been more accommodating, pleasant and helpful however the location of this RIAD was terrible. We arrived at 9pm, the nearest taxi drop off was about a quarter of a mile away. We were met and escorted down some very dark dingy alley ways to the RIAD, which was more than slightly unnerving. The RIAD itself was pleasant enough, although a little tired looking and was exceptionally quiet and peaceful which will suit some. We had to be escorted out on the first night to a local restuarant by Abdul as we would never have found our way out of the exceptionally dark, dingy almost threatening alley ways.My wife felt very uneasy and unsafe. I especially would not recommend this RIAD if you have women and children with you as the location is not ideal for them. Once again this is no reflection on the staff as they were lovely and could not have been more helpful and attentive.

Absolutely loved this place! Staff were all so friendly and helpful and the breakfast was great. It also has free WiFi and plenty of areas to chill out including the roof terrace. However what we did notice is that noise travels easily throughout the riad. And unfortunately during our stay, there was a couple with a small child and the child cried throughout the night, which woke us up. Of course this isn’t the fault of the owner, but next trip I’d be conscious to book if babies were also there. Other than that, you cannot fault it. Absolutely stunning and a great stay!

A lovely oasis of calm buried away in the medina down a series of alleyways which you soon get the hand of navigating. We were guided there by prior arrangement by a man with a handcart for our baggage and taken back to meet our taxi to the airport in the same manner. All organised by omar and his team who run the place. This is a unique style of accommodation offering peace, space, relaxation, great comfort and a more than adequate breakfast. A particularly nice touch is the provision of a local cellfone so you can contact omar at any time if you need to. And the map of course, It's literally in the middle of things - only 2 min to the souks, markets, etc. 10 mins to the main square.

Omar and his colleagues are truly amazing. We were a big group visiting and Omar was incredibly responsive and helpful in answering our questions and inquiries in advance of our trip. He was very flexible and went above and beyond to make our stay in Marrakesh as smooth and enjoyable as possible. A great host that I would recommend to anyone.

Girlfriend and I stayed for one night at Darhani before flying back from Marrakesh Menara Airport (20 minute drive). Omar was very welcoming and full of great recommendations. He arranged for someone to meet us from our taxi, a necessity as it's very tricky to find! Ideal for exploring central Marrakech - perfectly located in the Medina, near the souks and a 10/15 minute walk to the main square. There is a small pool in the courtyard (more for show rather than doing lengths...) but the most important feature for us was a sunny roof terrace (which isn't overlooked by surrounding buildings) so we were able to relax and sunbath in the middle of the city, after a tough day's bartering. It's not luxurious, rather "rough and ready" (we had ants in our toilet) but clean sheets and towels, shower gel/shampoo provided. Great value for money, would stay again.

Darhani is was perfect place to escape the madness of Marrakech! Peaceful and beautiful, and the start are wonderful. Special shout out for the incredible breakfasts....We could have spent many hours relaxing here, reading on the daybed or sunbathing on the roof terrace. Will be back for sure! I visited with friends, and we found ourselves frequently returning to Cafe Arabe just down the street for rooftop cocktails, highly recommend.
