Nothing I liked about this Hôte
Cons: The room is not clean, and it smells horrible, I spoke to the receptionist and ask them to do something about it, they said all the rooms are the same, I told them that I will check out. I need a full refund as this is not a clean Hotel, the bed sheets are not clean, the bathroom towel has stains, and in the cupboard they only provided one hunger and yet it has hair on it. I was so disgusted and disappointed about this hotel. The front desk don’t even have a computer to find my booking, they had to check that on their mobile phone. I have some pictures that I would like to share with you about this.

Die Lage des Hotels ist gut,
Cons: Ich war sehr enttäuscht. Das Zimmer hatte nichts mit den Fotos im Internet zu tun es war ganz anders und deutlich schlechter. Die Klimaanlage war vorhanden, aber funktionierte nicht. Außerdem war es extrem laut, jedes Mal wenn ein LKW vorbeifuhr, vibrierte das Fenster stark, selbst mit Ohrstöpseln war kaum Schlaf möglich. WLAN war angeblich defekt, aber ich habe den Eindruck, dass es überhaupt keines gab. Insgesamt war das Zimmer warm und alt, und der Komfort sehr gering. Für eine Nacht geht es vielleicht, aber ich würde dieses Hotel nicht weiterempfehlen.

I got scammed by the property manager where made me pay for my stay. 300DH per night and refused to accept the proof of payment that I had on my phone and tried to explain to him that I paid online and I’m just here to check in and made me pay again and put it straight in his pocket in front of me.

Cons: The hotel was very dirty. It is located on a very busy main road where traffic noise is unrelenting for 24 hours and sleep is impossible. The reception is dark and dirty as is the rooms. The shower doesn't work properly and the toilet was filthy. The bed was rock hard. I should have stayed in the waiting room in the train or bus station. They were cleaner, warmer and quieter.

El Hamra is a rundown property. The beds are de speakable, very bad hygiene no hygiene practices at all, bedding’s were not Change, no tissues. No no proper running water, no security. The area is good and one can tell the hotel is once a good building. But it’s rundown now and shouldn’t be in operation.

Room was disgusting and dirty, toilet didnt flush, air conditioning didn't work, wifi only worked if you no only went onto the balcony, but you had ti climb over and actually stand on the roof to use the wifi. None of the staff spoke a word of english, they couldnt even understand the words 'check in' and 'taxi'. When i arrived i had fo wait 15 minutes to check in because the receptionist was praying, no apologies just shrugged his shoulders at me. Having been all over the world, i can safely say this was the worst place i have ever stayed. Ever. The photos online are ridiculously misleading. There is no lake as the pictures show, the rooms are NOTHING like the photos show and the hotel exterior in the photos IS TAKEN FROM A DIFFERENT HOTEL. Honestly save your money and dont bother staying here. In fact save the money and don't come to Marrakesh as its one of the most filthy places ive been to. Considering how much money is bought in via tourism it shows really how little these people care about their country. Whatever you do, do not give these people your money.

An extremely jaded and worn out hotel it needs lots of updating and refurbishment. My room looked over the empty swimming pool . I chose the hotel because of its accessibility..it has a lift …as I have certain mobility issues …but to get to reception from the road there were 10 steps up with no luggage ramp . Reception was nearly in darkness when I arrived..in the day time ..a gloomy and depressing impression plus a receptionist who said he could NOT book me a taxi . He eventually later gave me the website details of the TAXI VERT MARRAKECH…with who I booked a taxi . But the taxi did NOT appear so I cannot recommend this hotel or this taxi company

Ma quello che ho visto e vissuto tutto contrario!! hotel e vecchio, ma le camere sono pulite e bagno anche lenzuoli e asciugamani erano veramente puliti come mi piace a me ..Aqua calda aria condizionata tutto funzionante e poi se c’è qualcosa che non va basta chiedere,sono persone disponibili ..la mia esperienza di 22 giorni a hotel El Hamra di quale da li dopo 6 giorni sono andato a Essaouira per due giorni e a Agadir per 12 giorni e poi sono tornato a hotel El Hamra è stata molto Positiva e bella al ponto che mi sono affezionato della mia camera. come fosse là mia casa ..veramente mi sono sentito a l’hotel EL Hamra come fosse mia casa perché le personale erano molto accoglienti..unica pecca era il WI-FI che no arrivava alla camere ,ma una cosa penso e spero che va sistemata in futuro, grazie per tutto e buon lavoro

When I arrived at the hotel the reception was very rude and would not let my fiancé stay in the hotel. I offered to have a 2nd room he refused. He wanted me to stay at the hotel on my own and my fiancé to find another hotel. This was midnight and we both had to leave the hotel and find somewhere else to stay. This was a terrifying experience. I had already booked via [link removed]and I checked the rules and policy for the hotel. I will not be recommending anyone stay here at this hotel ever. The fact that it was midnight and no other booking was available. We had to get a taxi and go to a hotel where we had stayed before but it was 3am by the time we got any rooms. My experience will be memorable but for all the wrong reasons.

First of all let me start my review by saying this hotel could be better. me and my wife we booked 4 night total 1090 MAD and we checked in thinking everything is paid out because our confirmation in agoda saying paid out included taxes and fees, but when we wanted our room's key the staff reception told us to play 220 MAD for tax and fees we told him we did pay everything and he said no i showed him the confirmation email and still said you need to pay, we did anyway. Second thing we parked our car in the hotel space parking and every morning and night someone come and say you need to pay for the parking it's tiring and you stay thinking someone of them gonna hit your car cause you didn't give them money we told the hotel staff cause our booking has parking included and they didn't care, third thing is the booking say wifi included but there is no wifi there, plus there is no shampoo no sandals. The place of the hotel is good, this hotel could be better, they have an empty swimming pool.

Cons: Was intuailly put in incorrect room, we booked with balcony and were shown to one without. Efficiently sorted the next day. New room had toilet not secured onto floor, dripping pipe causing puddle on floor. Unsteady bamboo pallets that were also not anti slip (some near misses with that). Staff were OK. Hallways had light switches with timers, not great when building itself is quite dark. If you do try to chance it, be careful as one worker is sitting at random floors on the bottom stair on a flat pillow and she likes to leave these pillows to return to.. Was booked to use as a pit stop to get to the centre quicker and do excursions from however it seemed to suck the life from us. Quick comment- the first room we were put in face the university, it was very loud all night. The window handles were broken and came apart. Window glazing is a thing of the future.

Do not mix this up with a similar named hotel. The pool is in a state of disrepair and empty, the sheets and pillowcases are stained. I moved rooms and no improvement. The shower wouldn't even attach to the wall.... I asked for a glass or cup to put water in out of the tap and was told, no!! Balcony door would not shut properly. Toilet was badly stained.

Had a 1 month vacation in morocco but spent the worst 2 nights in this hotel which doesn't diserve the rate on expedia. The room was very tinny, and badly maintained wall pint kept coming off. Shower broken, washroom sliding door make noise and hard to open or to close. The small balcony very dirty with birds wastes and more and more....😡😡😡😡😡😡 tis unit was 👎👎👎👎

L’hôtel était horrible, mauvaise odeur dans la chambre, la piscine était vide pas d’eau et très sale, pas de restauration, chambre très très très sale, des poils partout, nous avions l'impression de dormir dehors on entendait tous les bruits de l’extérieur, les voitures et motos. The room was awful. The bed was unstable, the person at the reception refused to speak to me and completely unhelpful. The lift did not work and the hotel itself was very unkempt. Only positive is the location.

The location of the hotel is good
Cons: None of the rooms I checked has all four (wifi, good shower head, quietness, view) You have to compromise other for one service. Room service is below average, just promises and nothing is done.

Balcony was nice
Cons: Stuff there was not nice even didn’t smile when we arrived. It’s the first thing what I like about Morocco — really nice and smiling people. And our first day for this trip I felt just uncomfortable in this hotel. Hotel is really old. Sofas on the reception need to be repaired. Bathroom should be renovated too. The wifi didn’t work in our room only on the balcony.

Absolutely nothing, the whole hotel was very dodgy and eerie. The facilities were very poor. I actually booked the accommodation for 5 days and when visiting the property decided to not stay there. Still disputing with the owners for a full refund. I would definitely not recommend this accommodation to anyone who expects a decent standard.

Large room, nice small balcony, light switch near bed, good location, nice small desk/chair and cupboard. Nice tiled floor.
Cons: The toilet doesn't flush properly, you will need to brush and flush after every use. The wifi wasn't connecting at all, you are lucky if you have connection for about one minute... some nights 0 connection. The balcony door doesn't close air tight, so it gets VERY cold at night, plus you hear the traffic all night long. The hot water runs for about 15 min before it gets cold. Also you must hold the showerhead in your hand because otherwise it sprays the walls.

Book this property before leaving the UK knew it wasn’t going to be great but seemed atleast okay for the trip, walked into the first room and the bathroom was flooded by what could only be described at toilet bowl water, the beds was like a prison and there was barely any other furnishing in the room, told them this they than moved me to a second room, then his room had cracks all over the wall, was completely bare besides from the beds which again was like prison style and indented mattress print which was like a massive hole, the bathroom tap wasn’t running properly instead running back towards the tap head and flooding the floor. I requested a refund within 20-30 minutes and spent an hour on the phone with travel agent and hotel owner to get this sorted and moved to a different hotel instead with a little more than the bare minimum if that, iv stayed at hostels with better facilities

This is a great value hotel that we found perfect for us. It 20 to 30 drm in a taxi to the medina and has some excellent street eating places just up the road. A small Caffè next door does a good breakfast.
Cons: I'd stayed there before during Ramadan. There was nothing I did not like.

Good location within 15min walk from train and coach station, good range of eating places and shops nearly by. A taxi would get you to Jamaa Lafna for around £1. Friendly staff. Everything else was poor, shower didn't work, springs on the mattress were gone and it felt like I was sinking. We did query shower with staff and they said hotel was full and there was nothing they could do for us.

I would not recommend anyone stay at that hotel. It is perhaps the cheapest in the whole of Marrakesh, but that discount comes at a terrible price. I spent a day at that hotel and did not even shower there. When I first got there I turned on the faucet the water was brownish, and smelled of urine. It was an overall despicable experience. It is however not located in a bad area, and the rooms are not necessarily bad for the price. But there are no TVs, no breakfast, hallways are dark (have to use flashlight even during the day). At the end I wish I had paid a little more to get something much better. I will never go back there again.

The location is good
Cons: The bed was really hard and old and noisy. The sheets and all materials are old and need to be changed. The hotel is very old but amazingly preserved with beautiful old Moroccan traditional touches.

The location was good for OUR needs as it was a short walk away from the British consulate. But it is a little far away from Marrakech centre for tourists.

The bed was quite large and comfortable, there was a lights switch to all lights in the room next to the bed. The room is very spacious. And it was quite close to the airport, but then again the airport is not far from Marrakech overall. For us it was quite handy as we had a rental car and it took about 15-20 mins to get to the airport.
Cons: Everything looked if not broken at least shaky: the bed, the bedstand, the chair, the sink tap. Wouldn't be one of the cleanest places. And also we were met with a bit of an attitude from the desk clerk. It felt very uncomfortable. It has a higher price than your average room in Marrakech, too, so we maybe expected a bit more which did not happen. If ever back there, would maybe try and book somewhere else in the same area.

We liked the bathroom and the size of the room. Easy access with the car and free parking on the street. Next door is a cafe too.
Cons: We had three blankets for two people. Two blankets was warm enough but one wasn't because I did not sleep all night because of the cold.

For the low price (about £20 per night) this hotel was good. It was clean, I could park my car right in front of it, it was easy to find (on a main road, and it has a large sign with its name) and the staff were very friendly and helpful, though they spoke only Arabic and French. However, there is certainly room for improvement. It would be good if someone would check the room once a day and at least remove rubbish and replace toilet paper rolls. Also make sure that all the lights are working and the shower head does not fall apart. To show true love for your guests you could also either put some carpet rugs on the cold tile floor or offer your guests warm slippers. I luckily brought my own along. In summary, satisfactory accommodation with the potential to get better. The neighbourhood certainly makes up for some deficiencies: There is a Café right next door with wonderful breakfast choices, a number of good restaurants and street food shops, a shop selling alcohol, some with groceries, and what i enjoyed most and everone should try: a public hammam steam bath where you can get a blacksoap scrub!

if you come out of the train station main exit , the second road on the left at roundabout will take you to this hotel. cross over and keep walking straight down for about 15min. the hotel is opp a university library place. good wifi

Old and dirty place. It was under renovation when I arrived. Only ground and first floor were ready while upper floors were dark and walls were peeld off. Elevator was not working, no waterin shower most of the time and no toilet rolls provided. Room was cleaned once in our 6 days stay. Hotel sign was not available so I had to as locals for the hotel's location. Room wasn't sound proof as I was hearing the sound of the other guests and road noise. It was a disappointing experience

Location was good. Sheets and towels were clean. The cleaning lady was so sweet and did a great job and was polite and fast.
Cons: No TV, one towel in room, no toiletries provided, bathroom had a leak so floor was always like a puddle. The entire toilet area needs updating and attention. There was a lot of noise from upper floor like loud banging/construction that went on for hours every morning. Room was extremely basic and not like it was advertised.

The location of the hotel is very good and they have renovated the rooms. The linen was clean and in good condition. The water is hot and the internet fast. I had a meeting in the lobby and the couches were quite dusty, but they hurried to clean them for me. There is no kitchen on premises, so finding breakfast before my 9:00 am bus was a bit challenging. In the evening, there are several restaurants and cafes open. It is a busy area of the city, so bring your earplugs. I would stay here again.

Clean, Quiet, Amazing customer service, and few blocks from best places in marrakesh. I recommand this place 100%. Rooms are Newly renovated. Manager took care to accomodate us with a laptop because I fogot mine. I never experienced this before. Thank you so Much!
